My situation is: I got a new/used PC with fresh install Win11 and SSD's. On old PC, win7, I used Firefox and saved my bookmarks as "restore" I guess (not HTML) to my D drive. Firefox was installed on old C HDD drive.

I have added old HDD to new PC case and want to copy/move/import my Firefox bookmarks to use in new Edge browser. I found my old saved bookmarks (on D drive HDD) as a JSON file. Edge can import only HTML bookmark files. What do I do?

I've spent 5-6 hours searching web but cannot find any solution.

Hello; I have a hard time with your BM filing system. After setting up a new computer I have duplicates of "menu" "other" "unsorted" & I can't find an easy way to delete what I don't want. The explanations are confusing and user unfriendly. If you can just give a simple detail of what each file does, & how to use them, it would help 80yr olds like myself.

So we had to reset my laptop and I had to redownload all my apps, including firefox, which thinks this is a new computer. When I was trying to mess with my history to pull up some old tabs I lost, I accidentally hit the restore button in the import and backup section in the library tag, not realizing that it would delete ALL my bookmarks. I tried hitting Undue but it didn't help. Is there a way to get them back? I lost a lot...

Been using Firefox for long time on a Win10 machine. Motherboard failed. Saved the C drive. Question is how to move bookmarks (profile files ?) from the old C drive to the new Win11 computer? I tried moving the profiles over from the old C drive to the new computer but Firefox would not recognize them and shutdown. Restored the Win11 files and Firefox is again happy.

Basically all my bookmarks are gone from the bookmark tab but when i actually go into the bookmarks settings their still there and I can still use them but would like them at my bookmark bar, they were there yesterday and now they just gone.

My workflow in Firefox involves 100's of open tabs pertaining to work, personal etc. I regularly bookmark all the abs using the 'bookmark all tabs' feature in the Bookmarks drowdown (or the equivalent 'select all tabs' -> 'bookmark all tabs' by rightclicking on a tab) which offers the option of saving the tabs in a new folder name I specify. As of the last couple of weeks, the option to enter a folder name no longer exists. I've attached a screenshot of the current pop-up when I choose 'bookmark all tabs'.

Perhaps related: this may have started occuring after I upgraded to the latest version (v. 101.0 on MacOs 12.4 on Macbook Pro) or the timing may be a coincidence.

Saving the 100s of bookmarks every week is an essential part of workflow; I've been doiong it for years, and I really need to have this ability back. Please help me debug this.

I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox because it kept crashing. Now my bookmarks are gone. How can I get them back?

I tried to backup my computer to an earlier date but wasn't successful.

When I add a new bookmarks I can see them in "Recent labels", but not in "Other bookmarks" (the last one in that folder is of the 20th of February 2022), so I can see only my last 10 saved bookmarks from the 02/20/2022 since now. The bookmarks are surely saved, because if I try to delete one fromt the "Recent labels" another one less recent appears, but only in the "Recent labels" folder and not in the "Other bookmarks". So, what I have to do to see my saved bookmarks not present in the "Other bookmarks" folder, but not so recent to be visible in the "Recent labels"? Thank you!

The drag-and-drop from address bar to desktop to create a internet shortcut is disabled. I can use about:config and change browser.launcherProcess.enabled to FALSE to fix it but it does not last long. It will go back to TRUE. Is there a way to set it to FALSE permanently?

There was already such a question, but it is in the archive and the answers previously given to it by technical support are no longer relevant (the browser.proton.enabled parameter no longer exists). How to return separators as lines in favorites? It's terribly annoying when it's just extended spaces. Not everyone has a perfectly developed eye gauge.

Please let me know how I can get my old bookmarks as I do not have any on file in the restore area the only ones I have are five teen year old ones, Can you please help me restore them to the my original ones?

Suddenly my Bookmarks Toolbar vanished from my browser screen. If I click on the Bookmarks Tab I can get the list of the Toolbar as a side bar, but I prefer it to be a horizontal bar always visible. Please tell me how to restore it to its previous state. Thanks!

Today, 6/10/22, I did what we sheep are trained to do, click on the latest update. What happened next is excruciatingly painful: EVERY SINGLE--ALL--FAVORITES AND SAVED PAGES--YEARS, YEARS WORTH OF SAVED PAGES AND FAVORITES, ERASED, GONE, WIPED OUT.

WHAT IS GOING ON? WAS THIS INTENTIONALLY PROGRAMMED? YEARS WORTH OF SAVED PAGES, GONE!!!

So I clicked on an excitingly named "restore" type link. Which resulted in only today's subsequent web activity being included.

What are you people doing?
