Recently I have had multiple occurrences of Firefox "freezing" and I have to shutdown the browser which then reports the fault to Microsoft. It seems to happen when I click on the button to Maximise the browser window. I'm running Windows 11. It generally does restore the browser tabs successfully but is nevertheless irritating and a recent phenomenom.

I have problem in Mozilla Firefox 118 and 119 about company web app. There are several input[text] and textarea that can't type in them. But in other browsers are fine and Mozilla Firefox ver. 117 is fine too.

Btw, this app using AngularJS.

Any idea what happen and are there any solutions for this problem ?

Lost all of my data my laptop for hang and stuck I had to reistall whole windows.

after the I logged to my firefox account and all the data store was lost

does it get sync any where? it was 10 years of data.

I'm trying to set the download location to a different drive, containing the current username. For example, if my username is Brett.Michaels, I want my default download directory to be G:\brett.michaels. Other browsers have a variable that is usable like {user_name} however I can only find reference to {home} for Firefox, which does not allow me to alter the drive. I've tried using Windows-based environment variables to no avail. Perhaps I'm missing something?

Firefox bookmarks exported from old Windows PC to html file. File transferred to new Windows PC and imported into Firefox. 'Bookmarks Imported Successfully' message seen. However no bookmarks visible in Firefox bookmark menu. Suggestions please?

I made a mistake and installed Firefox in the wrong location. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall where I wanted the software to be.

The installer now tells me that I had Firefox before and will only reinstall it in the previous directory. No other option is offered.

I am LONG used to being deprived of user choice by the likes of Microsoft or Apple, but Mozilla SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

Really want to get rid of Edge and start using Firefox. However the last two times I downloaded and installed it looked like I had a huge number of trackers. I run Glarys Utilities regularly and this is where I found trackers. I do I install Firefox and protect myself from trackers.

With increasing frequency, when I open Yahoo in Firefox, there are no photos on the site and I can't access my email. In order to fix this, I have to shut off my computer and do a clean reboot. Then it works for a while, but then, all of a sudden I have the problem again. When I use a different browser (Chrome, Edge), I never have this problem. I thought it was Ghostery that was interfering, because Ghostery does screen out a lot of stuff, so I turned Ghostery off. It made no difference. What solution do you have to offer for this problem? I really don't want to switch to Chrome or Edge, because Firefox's general user interface is so far superior, but the issue I have described is a serious one. (There are two or three other websites that also don't work with Firefox when it comes to user doing data input on the site, but I'll be sending a separate inquiry on that).

While downloading XLS file from some webpage, it is converting as PDF ( File extension is changing from XLS to PDF) , Same is downloading properly in other browsers

When i updated Firefox just now it offered several recommended security add-ons. I added a few of them. But now I can't access Facebook. I disabled them one at a time and still cannot get in. What do I do now?

This morning the add-on 'Search By Image' has ceased working. I use it daily, it worked yesterday, and so far as I know there have been no updates to FF or SBI or Windows.

To test I tried removing SBI and re-adding it, and disabling Malwarebytes.

I disabled SBI and installed "Image Search Options". ISO works, though I prefer SBI.

Win11, FF is now 119.0, but it auto-updated when I went to check so I do not know what it was when the problem began this morning. I have not restarted, I have too many tabs open at the moment.

This is also happening to a different PC that is Win10/FF, but never had Malwarebytes installed. SBI still does not work after restarting FF v119.0 in Win10.

Any ideas on how to diagnose this?

Was getting some crash reports....now have a black bar on top of new tabs...it finally scrolls when you are halfway down the page. any help would be appreciated.

As a user, when creating and using a saved credit card, I'd like the opportunity to provide it a nickname. This would make it easier to distinguish if multiple cards are saved. This doesn't seem to be available.

I want set my new tab page to open a local file. The same local file is also used for my home page. Until recently, I used the new tab extension to do this, however that stopped working.

There are many existing posts out there regarding this, so it seems it is a desired feature. However, none of the posts are applicable to the latest configuration 119.0 (October 2023).

Is there a way to force the new tab to open a local file? Or open the home page (which is also a local file)?

Good Evening, My company requested a factory restart and I compiled. I am working to restoring my old firefox bookmarks and preferably history/settings. Is there a way to find and restore this data? I am using the same firefox account as before the reset. Thank you.

Also, what are the best practices for backing up my data in the future to easily restore or transfer my settings and bookmarks in the future?
