Firefox installed a new release and now all my bookmarks, add-ins etc are gone. I went to About:profiles, but I when I launch the other profile that is there it still show the new profile

how do you disable or unreaveal when the mouse hovers over the task bar (search bar) at the top while in full screen mode (f-11) to me this annoying when the mouse enters that section of the screen. chrome does not do this. Is there a way to toggle off a switch in a setting? if not, can one be added.

When I open my browser, a little Firefox sign in box appears. I click it out and it goes away, but returns every time I open anything in my browser. I've never had to sign into my browser. When I'm trying to sign into another program, Firefox sign in prompt keeps popping up. I just want to get rid of it. How do I do that? Lately, every program wants me to sign in. I think it has something to do with my new Samsung smart phone, which tends to interfere with my other electronics.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I've noticed that you do not have my current email address. My current email is angie.custis@yahoo.com. I don't know how to go about updating it in your system.

since Vers. 142 I am having a really bad and wasteful time searching for my previous tabs when firefox is closed....initially it worked, but now RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION IS NOT ON THE MENU UNDER HISTORY.... WHY IS THIS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH UPDATES???? IT SEEMS THAT THE UPDATES WHEN LISTED DON'T SHOW HAVING ANY TAB INFO, BUT SURE AS DAY/NITE WHEN I TURN MY DESKTOP AND FIREFOX, TABS ARE MISSING AND I CAN'T RECOVER THEM.

IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF THE DESIGNERS REALLY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WELL, THEY SHOULD BE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THIS HAPPENS ON A REGULAR BASIS.

CAN'T "SNIP" A PICTURE OF MENU, SO HOW WOULD I MAKE A COPY OF IT SO YOU CAN SEE THAT RESTORE PREV. SESS. IS MISSING?

Multiple attempts to post this and get help - my tab groups randomly closed and they are all gone. I spent a lot of time gathering up tabs into the right groups for big projects and trips. Somehow a window closed - accidentally, leaving only my inbox one open. I tried to no avail to find tab groups, restore history (option not given), and other ways to restore this.

I had been excited about the option of tab groups, and in the past they always reopened after a restart. But today they disappeared in the middle of session. It's tons of work and time lost and I don't think I'll use them again. What a disappointment.

The 29. january I got no sound when streeming video from Firefox. I checked the situation with VLC, another media player, which had no problems with the sound. I opened Windows "sound control settings" and chose to send the sound to the monitor (HDMI). Then I got sound from Firefox. When I sent the sound back to the original device, which is an USB Audio DAC, because I use an external amplifier, and my PC doesn't have the SP/DIF output. Again there were no sound from Firefox, but sound from VLC. In addition I started Microsoft Edge, and got sound! Which means that the problem is only with Firefox.

Then I checked the time for the last Firefox update. It was january 28, the day before (or it could have been the same day), and the new version was: 147.0.2. That made me beleive that the cause of the problem was the software update. What else could have caused this problem ?

I do not know how to fix this problem. I need help, otherwise I have to quit using Firefox, which I have been using for a decade without any problems. I am using Windows 11.

Ok, so I dont use my computer that much, but anyway. I get on it today and this "create a profile" pops up. once I get in to firefox Everything is gone, my history, passwords, bookmarks, addons.

WTF happened???????

I can't save my tabs & windows anymore, I have the box checked but after I close down the computer I lose all the tabs when I reopen and then I need to put them all back manually. What has gone wrong it always worked before for many years? Please tell me how to fix it

I just got a new laptop and so I am getting everything set up the way that I like it. I have come across a problem with my sidebar though. I like to keep my bookmarks up all the time, but I want them to not be too wide and take up a lot of my screen. On this new computer, there's an addition 5 cms or so of white space at the far left of the tool bar. It had different buttons on it up at the top (one of them had something to do with AI) and a little gear down at the bottom of the space. I was able to remove all of the buttons up at the top, but I can't seem to hide the whole thing. I just want to see my bookmarks, without that extra customization sidebar. Is there a way to hide the spot highlighted in pink, but still have the bookmarks visible?

I am seeing pop up ads like these on the lower right corner of my screen since I updated to windows 11. I've never seen this with windows 10. Microsoft is telling me these are coming through my browser. These are not when I am in a web site and get the pop up to allow notifications, I always say no. These come @ 1 per week or less and I don't seem to be able to stop them. Is there a setting in firefox that will stop them or is this a microsoft issue? thanks brian

I've been annoyed recently to see the Firefox symbol on both my Desktop and in the taskbar and finding that there are two in the taskbar when I open one. The bottom line is that I seem to have completely obliterated Firefox as I'd had it set up! Can I restore my Firefox settings to where they were yesterday?

I have dark mode set as a theme and a dark reader extension enabled. As of yesterday, when I open a PDF it always displayed with white text and a black background. I have vision issues and need my PDF'S to be able to easily read.

When I click a link in Firefox sometimes it will open up the new window in Chrome, how can I stop this? I don't want to make Firefox my default browser, as I use Chrome for that.

Hi. I need to know how to make sure I can get to safe/legit (I have an account and a password that I set up myself) sites without getting blocked by Firefox all the time. Any recommendations? Thank you.
