Hello,
I am in a situation where I am a student at the university of Gothenburg. At the university the students have their own spaces at a cyberspace cloud storage facility. The place is called Canvas. In Canvas the students subject are lined up and information about each subject is also stored and other features about the students education. The place is only about university information and education. Yesterday, I tried to log in to my account into Canvas at the university of gothenburg, at Handelshögskolan on my computer. It was not a success. I tried to use the regular webbrowser for Apple, Safari, but it was not a problem there and I was able to login. I was also able to login to my account on my cellphone, which is logged in via an application downloaded from Appstore.
I do not wish to use Safari because it is not purposeful in the usage in the direction via education that i am looking to achieve.
How can you help me solve this please?

Hi, I've been trying to access academic articles through my university library online database. My browser often directs the shibboleth authentication to the sign-in page of my previous university, not to my current ones. An example is provided below: the first link gets automatically changed to the send one. How can I stop the browser from doing this, so that I can log in through my current university account? Thanks very much!

I would like to place my bookmarks on the left-hand side bar. Somehow they have moved to the top of the page. Please help me fix this.
When I open a page on my labtop, it only opens halfway. I want the page to fill the screen upon opening.

I am using Firefox on my MacOS Tahoe. There is a persistent annoying issue where whenever I close (physically fold) my laptop screen and reopen it, Firefox will be frozen. It will be frozen in the sense that I am unable to interact with any tabs or anything until I manually quit Firefox and reopen it (which automatically reopens all my tabs), making it usable again. This doesn't happen every time I close and reopen my Mac, but it definitely happens the majority of the time and makes the browser hard to use.
I've attached a screenshot of what a new window looks like when Firefox is frozen. It looks just like a Firefox window when unfocused.
Notes:
Things I've tried that haven't fixed it:
Let me know if there's any more information I can provide or fixes I can try. Also let me know if I should go ahead and file a Firefox bug report for this. Thank you.

After a recent update, my address bar behaviour change so much that it's making Firefox unusable for me.
The behaviour I want and what I used to have: - I start typing into address bar, I select the highlight (search or history result usually) - I press Cmd + Enter, the highlighted result opens in a new tab.
Now, what I get is: - The halfway typed text gets selected and turned into a url, for example if I want Reddit and I type "red", it opens https://www.red.com/ ?? - It does NOT open a new tab
I think now Option key behaves kind of similar to how Cmd key used to behave. I was on the 128 ESR release for a long time, so it might have change a while back.
How can I get back my Cmd key behaviour, to behave like Option now?

What am I doing to cause this and how can I have the English version only in playback everytime? Thank you so much, being a pensioner I am eager awaiting the ability to donate to you excellent work as often as I like.

I have some custom firefox applets that acts as wrappers around the command-line functions to open firefox with specific profiles (see image 1 of applets in Applications in Finder). Each application is a simple .scpt file that runs the shell script (see image 2).
This allows me to have specific app icons for the different firefox profiles in my user dock (see image 3).
The issue is that once the applet is used and firefox has been opened, there are issues with permissions. In settings, it is clear that both microphone and speaker permissions have been shared with the applets AND firefox itself (see image 4).
However, any time I navigate to a page, I get a dialogue asking if the applet (Firefox_Professional, in this case) can access the microphone (see image 5). Depending on the page, I can get 1-20 dialogues in a row. This makes firefox practically unusable since I am closing an average of 5 dialogues before I can view any page.
Does anyone know any solutions to this?
Thanks so much for the help! ~Alex

Could this be due to a Firefox update, extension (e.g. LastPass), or syncing?
I’ve noticed in Firefox Password Manager that a large number of saved logins all show the same “last used/updated” date in the past (e.g. July 2020). This includes websites that I know I did not visit or log into at that time.
I am now in a situation where I’m being accused of attempting to access a site on that specific date, but I strongly believe I did not.
Can anyone clarify whether this behaviour could be explained by something like:
- A Firefox update,
- The installation or update of a browser extension (such as LastPass), or
- A syncing/importing process that might change timestamps for multiple entries at once?
I’ve attached screenshots from Firefox to show how this appears....there are LOTS of sites that have this date on them, not just the one that I am being accused of trying to access.
Any insight into why these “used/updated” dates might change in bulk would be extremely helpful.
