Since I've upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 "Firefox" randomly started closing it's self without any crash report what so ever.

I've read some article on Ubuntu forums but I couldn't find any helpful information (Or they didn't work for me)

Please anyone help! I've been using Firefox all the time and has never crashed until the upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04

Any help is highly appreciated!

Hi, I'm having some issue with the syncing of bookmarks. Some changes in bookmarks in one device (desktop) don't synchronize properly to others devices (desktop also). I have lost many bookmarks, names changed that don't change, disappearing of complete folders, etc. This are the last three error-sync-number.txt files I have on about:sync-log of an affected device, hope someone notices something relevant that could help me solve this horrible problem. Is there any way to get yyyy-mm-dd dates, 24 hour clock and Monday as start of week (as my LC_TIME indicates with sv_SE.utf-8) while keeping English as my main language? Changing locale to Canadian at least gets the date format and language correct but it's still 12-hour clock and Sunday as first day of week...

I have deleted my bookmarks with the Bookmark manager, but where are they now? I cannot find them in /trash and all of the *bookmark* files on my laptop are miniscule (like 127 bytes.) The json files are no better, when I imported previous bookmark files they were empty.

Reinstalled Firefox on Ubuntu 20 and signed back into my Firefox account and I don't have any of my passwords, bookmarks or extensions, I'm extremely upset - there's very important info I lost!

As the title says, Multi-Account containers doesn't detect the VPN, which means that it's not setting the VPN for specific containers.

I suspect this is actually a problem with the "Allow extension to exchange messages with programs other than Firefox" permission. Could be a VPN issue, but gut feeling that it's a Firefox issue, TBH

While using firefox, the sizing suddenly has issue in minimize and maximize, this happens frequently under Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, never happen in Ubuntu 20.04LTS. The only solution now is open new window and move existing tabs to the new window.

Can refer screenshot, where you see the window at the back is missing a portion of rendering on the right. Is there any solution for this?

I've been successfully using firefox-esr on Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 on a Raspberry PI 3+.

Today Firefox crashed at startup. I created a new profile and it initially worked, but crashed when signed in to Firefox sync.

When I hold down Shift, Firefox still crashes, before the Troubleshooting popup appears.

A previous company employee set up a Firefox Account, that we release a Firefox Add-On against. This person set up their work account as the Firefox Account Primary Email and did not set up a Secondary Account. This person left the company, and their email account is no longer available. We now need to update the Add-On. We have authentication information to log into the account, but when we try to access the Add-On/Extension location, the system sends a verification code to the Primary Email. We cannot even set a Secondary Email for the same reason. What can we do since creating a new account will not allow us to access and update the existing Add-On?

Until recently, whenever I downloaded a file, the Firefox dialogue requesting the destination folder started out at the folder I last used to download a file from that web site. Now it appears to always start in the last used folder, independent of web site. Since I seldom download more than one file at a time from a given web site, this means I have to navigate the directory tree for every download, which makes the whole process take two or three times as long as it used to. Is there any way to restore the old behavior? My searches on the web have only turned up suggestions that are accompanied by responses that say "That didn't work." (Running 101.0.1 on Ubuntu 18.04, if that matters.)

I know there are add-ons that will let me script the download folder selection process, and I'll go that route if I must, but I'm hoping that my preferred browser behavior is still available - "just works" is preferable to "you can beat it into submission if you try hard enough".

Years ago I imported a Firefox profile from Ubuntu 16.04 to a PC running 18.04. It wasn't very hard. View Hidden Folders, find the old FF profile, copy it. Then go to the 18.04 PC, delete or rename the existing profile, and paste in the profile from the 16.04 rig. Restart the PC, Firefox came up on the 18.04 PC just like it did on the 26.04 PC.

But Ubuntu is doing something different now. Firefox is inside the "snap" folder. Apparently snap is some sort of new package mgr. (?)

I found a firefox profile a few levels down inside the snap folder: Home/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default

Does snap complicate things? Or can I replace the new profile on the 22.04 PC inside the snap folder with the profile that I want to use from the 18.04 PC? Just like in the past, but inside snap rather than the .firefox folder in Home?

I've been using firefox as my main browser and I've created a account and using it all the time for syncing the settings, bookmarks, logins, extensions etc.

BUT due to some unwanted (really irritating) search suggestion were being shown to me by firefox, I had to uninstall firefox from my system.

• • Throughout the process, I'd kept syncing ON always!!

But when I installed firefox again and after loggedin, I'm syncing everything but this is restoring (syncing) very old data which doesn't have my latest bookmarks, extenstions & saved logins!!

How DO I get my all data???

I am experiencing problems when using Duolingo, which is highly interactive.

This same problem was highlighted in Version 95.0.2 from a Windows user. The waveforms on System Monitor/ Resources are the same.

I am using Fedora and have 16GB ram. Have just ordered another 16GB ram, but think this problem is so severe that no amount of ram will fix it.

For some time now FF will not open certain sites that it used to, these sites all open and function normally in other browsers such as Opera. The most important being my online bank! I have contacted the sites involved and they cannot understand why. I have cleared Cache, cookies etc. I'm using FF 88.0 on Ubuntu. Can you help?
