Until a couple of days ago, Firefox was allowing Twitter's push notifications was workibg fine. Even now, I can see replies to my posts, but now notices of new posts by persons I selected are no longer coming through.

I tried to fix this by going to Settings>Privacy & Security>Permissions>Notifications and removing Twitter from the list, then resetting Push Notifications in Twitter under Settings>Notifications>Preferences>Push Notifications, only to be told "Unsupported browser. It looks like your browser doesn’t support push notifications."

I've looked at previous listings under this subject, but none of them have been helpful.

Running Win 7 Pro. In my previous version of FF (94.0.2), I have modified the UserChrome.css file (s suggested by others on this forum) to provide a scroll bar for my bookmarks. This has worked well for for all subsequent FF updates, until the latest update (95.0), which has forced me to create a new profile.

Now, the bookmarks still have a scroll bar, but as soon as I put my mouse pointer anywhere on the list, the bookmarks automatically start rapidly scrolling all the way to the end, making it impossible for me to select any particular bookmark.

I have tried to replace the new profile with my old one, but version 95.0 will not accept that. I have also tried to replace the UserChrome.css file with the old one, but that doesn't fix the problem.

Is this a bug in the new version, or is the an edit I can do to the UserChrome.css file that would fix this? Here is what I currently have in the UserChrome.css file:

     /* Firefox userChrome.css */

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

toolbarbutton[part="scrollbutton-up"], toolbarbutton[part="scrollbutton-down"] {

 display: none !important;

} scrollbox[part="scrollbox"] {

 overflow: auto !important;

}

For now, I have reinstalled version 94.0.2.

Thank you.

I'm running 91.4.0esr. I like the "Fall Puppy" theme, but it turned the background black. Changing the background color to white does not correct the problem. (tools=>settings=>General=>fonts&colors=>colors) I don't want to disable the theme. In the past I think I could edit the preference file to override the theme background color. I there away to edit the "Fall Puppy" background default?

Guidance Please.

I use Firefox ESR on Windows 7 (with extended security support).

ESR's base version recently updated from 78 to 91...frustratingly just a little too late to simply disable Proton :(. With a good deal of searching and experimenting, I found ways to update/modify my userChrome.css file to get things to look and work largely as I prefer.

The exception -- a BIG one to me -- is loss of the ability to remove the width restriction from the bookmarks toolbar overflow. In fact, I can't find a way to widen it at all. For years I had an add-on which accomplished the task (called something like "Places Full Titles"), and more recently -- after the add-on stopped working -- a few lines in my userChrome.css which accomplished the same. But that code no longer seems to do anything. It was:

#personal-bookmarks .bookmark-item,
#bookmarksMenuPopup .bookmark-item { max-width: none !important; }

Is there any newer css code -- or any alternate approach -- that will accomplish the same thing? I really pack a LOT of useful-to-me (but non-confidential) info into those bookmark names.

Thanks.

Hi. I have mozilla firefox 95.0.2 on my personal dell laptot. No organization administrating. I cant copy certificates to a file for unknown reasons. I had password master protection on store I had read (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1175296) it could be a issue about uphold authority who creates these certificates, that i have not certificates for those authorities installed. (your internal signing certificate doesn't chain up to a trusted root, then naturally Firefox gives that UNKNOWN ISSUER error) Setting security.enterprise_roots.enabled is true but i cant change it. dont know why. But, i check and i have installed authority certificates and it wont expired until 2029 So i´m wondering if it would be an issue about master password, needed to obtain certificates and copy it I put master password to navigate so it wont be needed again but maybe firefox need to access certificates in order to copy it again and it is not asking me to provide it. Please, help. Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir or Madam:

My Firefox Bowser menu area is double spaced everywhere. That is a problem.

Your temporary fix for its menu double spacing problem applies in the version 89/90 only. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1338204 https://www.userchrome.org/firefox-89-styling-proton-ui.html#menuspacing

After Firefox downloaded and installed its updated version, its menu double spacing problem came back.

I don’t understand anything about the userchrome file thing. I am not a programmer!

Is there a quick solution for this menu double spacing problem?

I would appreciate it if you would email me your response. Thank you.

In the editor of an online web application that I use (easyeda.com) there is the pan function by right click & drag. I haven't used it for a few months but now on the MouseUp when I finish panning the workspace the normal browser right click popup appears. Pretty sure it didn't do this before, am wondering if it due to a FF update or the vendors app needs to disable this on the MouseUp event. Its just annoying, I pan a lot !!, not stopping my workflow.

When I search for autoplay in about:config I get quite a few matches and have disabled all of them (I think). Yet video boxes/windows still popup blocking part of the page. Is there any way of stopping them? At least now the sound has been muted. But when I checked permissions for a particularly aggravating website I see that in Permissions I see autoplay is allowed/default. It seems Firefox is intent on disrupting my reading by these incessant and pestering videos, 99% of which are utter drivel and have nothing to do with what I'm trying to read. Its like web design by 8 year old children.

What is the solution for killing video popups once and for all? As videos often don't even work in Firefox I've relegated video watching to Chrome which is fine. I use Firefox for reading and Chrome for watching. No problem.
