I'm running Firefox in Windows 12 and am noticing that without me doing anything the browser will close by itself on a regular basis. What can I do to stop this from happening?

I'm trying to make a new Firefox Account with an email address I have for school, but it keeps saying that it is invalid. I believe it is because the latter half, instead of being @gmail.com or whatever, is @port*********.org. I tried logging in with another email that had @gmail.com and it worked just fine.

What I'm really asking is: Is there a way around this or is this in vain?

Why won't Firefox load this link: https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/index.php? This is a government service and Firefox won't connect to the site. It is the NOAA GOES satellite imagery service. Please advise.

When I close a tab, sometimes it crashes. I tried with `-safe-mode` and the error persists. Let me know if I can add more information.

I'm getting warning emails (2 so far) that windows 8.1 will no longer be supported after I think the end of this year and that I should buy windows 11. Since I use firefox exclusively, does this warning affect me? I'm not very computer savvy and am not sure what is the relationship mozilla firefox to windows (I think it's microsoft windows). I guess this computer has windows 8.1 but I'm not sure. Also, awhile back, microsoft edge showed up on my laptop but I've never even opened it, not even sure what it is. Not sure exactly when but I bought this Asus laptop but it's been several years. Thank you very much for any instruction and/or advice you may be able to give me. Randy Boone. WHY do you strip my FireFox every 4 times I update? Sooner or later I will get tired of this circle jerk. Put my FireFox back like I run it, you try and try to have me run a generic Browser, when they do me no good, trying to mine my data is futile, as we show time after time. I like FireFox because I can cut the dead weight and go to work. Please help Robert StrongBow

Months ago, I had some tabs open on my PC. After I haven't opened my browser for months, these tabs was no longer show up on the Firefox on PC. But when I connected my Firefox account on another device and synced my history, those tabs appeared in the "Open Tabs" again. Those make my "Open Tabs" verbose and difficult to get the information I need. But since I can't see these tabs on my PC, I can't close them. To remove those tabs, I tried reconnecting my account and clearing the local datas on my Firefox on my PC, but it didn't work.

I used search f or three different subjects and now they do not go way even when I erased them several times. It is really bothering me.What can I do to get of them?

The question in the subject field was posted 7 years ago. I am still having this problem in version 104.0.1 (2022) on Mac. First I updated youtube tab with cmd+shift+R still same problem. Then I deleted cache with cmd+shift+backspace still same problem. I had to delete all my history in FIrefox before video was playing. Am I doing something wrong or need something being fixed :-)

A Trojan was detected in favicons.sqlite-shm by BitDefender, the report said it blocked it (see screen-cap). Soon after, I wasn't able to load Firefox, Opera Browser and Thunderbird. Tying to access them would start a popup dialog box stating that"Firefox is already running" and I'd would be asked to either cancel or stop. Pressing either option wouldn't allow access to Firefox etc., I had my computer scanned professionally and was told they didn't think the Trojan was still active and they managed to restore access to Firefox and Thunderbird, this took 2 hours.

I remain unconvinced my computer is free of the Trojan for various issues, including a corrupted winload.efi file (I have already attempted and failed to fix this) that won't allow Windows Defender to scan in Offline mode. Various other issues such a slow applications and occasionally flickering screen suggests the Trojan might still be active.

I'd greatly appreciate if anyone has information or experience dealing with particular issue.

Scans such as, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, etc. have been run and found nothing.

browser bar is striped pink and gray... I have tried EVERYTHING!!!!! It is too hard to read. I have done all the about:config, I have reinstalled multiple times- always come back. I am at my wits end.

I just discovered that I cannot any longer import logins by a file. The procedure just does not execute. It appears that this was broken in Firefox update to 104.0 (at least that is the update where I discovered the problem).

I use "import logins by file" fairly often to update Firefox logins on my laptop from the Firefox logins on my desktop--instead of using "Firefox Sync".
