Per an article on yahoo news, I decided to clear data by going to: Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies&Site Date->clear data

In hindsight, this turned out to be a mistake. Previously when using yahoo mail, it let me stay logged in for two weeks. Now I have to log in each time. There are also 2 or 3 other sites that logged me in automatically, but now have to log in every time.

How can I undo what I did?

I know this has been asked before but I've looked through past instances and couldn't find a solution that still seems to work as of 2022. I need a way to disable certain built-in Firefox keyboard shortcuts. I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox but if I can't disable the ctrl+i and ctrl+b keyboard shortcuts I'm going to have to switch back. I use both very frequently for work, so their non-functionality in this browser is genuinely impacting my productivity and it's getting really frustrating.

A lot of times while coding I press Ctrl+S to save Visual Studio Code and update live server (while watching on firefox the result). The problem is that when I'm focused on Firefox Ctrl+S pops up the Save Page window and (if I held Ctrl+S for more than a split second) it crashes (probably due to multiple popups becoming unresponsive). The mouse can't click to cancel the pop ups for saving the page nor interact it. I have to kill the firefox process and restart it. I've been looking into disabling Ctrl+S shortcut in Firefox with no success (extensions are deprecated or require too many permissions I'm not comfortable with).

Would someone help me to disable Ctrl+S or enlighten me on how to not have firefox crash every time I accidentally press Ctrl+S?

Firefox eventually crashes every time I use it, usually when there is about 165 mbs of data. I can relaunch it by both using CCleaner to clear the browser in addition to going to Firefox preferences and deleting data and history. I don't have Flash or Silverlight. I have refreshed Firefox a number of times and completely uninstalled it using the MacCleaner Pro App Cleaner and Uninstaller and reinstalling it using Mozilla's online download link.

Recently some programs, such as Word, are opening behind the browser window, so the only way I can access them is by shrinking and moving the browser. I also find that when a program does open in front of the browser, (as did Excel just now, I am unable to pull the browser window back to the fore without shrinking or closing the app window - ie closing excel - as I did just now. I have tested this in Chrome and Edge, and they seem to behave just fine, so the problem would appear to be with Firefox settings, but I can't locate a setting to tackle this.

Hi I am using firefox in arch linux 5.17.9-zen1-1-zen kernel and after the new firefox update I can't right click in firefox. Whenever I right click the context menu shows up for 1 sec and then it automatically takes me to the previous page. Click on the image automatically prompts me to download it although I don't want to download the image. Is there anything I can do to fix the issue ?

I've already found the option in the config to disable GIFs. Turning off autoplay is not enough.

in startpage of my ms account all ms apps can be opened...........EXCEPT the app Onedrive. What to do to make this work?????

Dear Sir/Madam I have recently started purchased an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. In order to purchase apps and games for my headset I want to use my PC so I can peruse the software available in the Oculus Quest store However when using the Firefox browser I find that when I link to the Oculus store I end up with a constantly rotating wheel and cannot access the apps/gamessection of the store (Now known as METAQUEST) However when I use the MICROSOFT EDGE browser the Oculus website works perfectly This disappointing as I much prefer to use FIREFOX Could you advise if there is a setting within Firefox which may help or could you comment on why Microsoft Edge works but Firefox does'nt Thank you Regards and best wishes Edward

"When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is happening - even though the box is unchecked. Only in favorites bar, not in web page or Firefox homepage Shortcuts (1 row or 2 rows) or Recent activity.

It's very irritating, so i hope there is a solution...?

How can I get rid of add-on HP Wolf Security Extension. It came with the "regular" HP updates (HP Sure Click included) and it has seriously messed up my PC yesterday, Virus attacks included. Windows 10. HP service not available weekends.

So far I have managed to uninstall HP Sure Click and HP Wolf Security (at least most of these pests) with all regular and special methods (was very difficult as the regular uninstall process did not remove these pests). I have uninstalled various Apps: Chrome, Zoom, Skype, Firefox. cleaned my PC, run windows troubleshooter and maintenance and of course Bitdefender various times. Restarted PC uncountable times and....reinstalled fresh ones and yet:

....Add on HP Wolf is there again in Firefox. It can not be removed with any of the regular methods (have tried them all, see forums and available manuals etc.) ....I have managed to get rid of it in Chrome. One little success story at least. ....HP Sure Click is silent now, even so I expect it to loom around somewhere in my PC. Some files could not be deleted (not even manually with power deinstallation)

I have not yet deinstalled HP Sure or the HP client Security Manager and I do not have the IT skills to work in Bios - directly in the boot sector.

I have not reset windows which I try to avoid - very very very.....last option.

HP Wolf Security and HP Sure Click are real pests. They hooked themselves onto my PC without my permission on Friday evening as part of the regular HP updates. When browsing on the internet I was flooded with ad pop ups and spam AND virus / trojan attacks. It even tried to shut down my virus programme Bitdefender, which I managed to stop and it fortunately worked very well and could contain more damage.

I will call HP tomorrow in their office hours and give them a hard time.

I would greatly appreciate your help and your ideas. Hopefully one of you had the same experience and managed to get rid of this pest.

Windows 11, FF 100.0.2 64-bit: after changing my security settings my add-ons are no ölonger active, and o not show in the menu bar. Reinstalling FF has not resolved the problem. Entering add-ons on the tools menu shows that the add-ons are actuall - despite the deinstall/reinstall are still present and active.

So when I go to upload a picture to the website EBAY, it shows just lines, yet when i open EDGE and do exactlly the same thing, it shows the picture.

Any help as to why this is happenign on your platform with the latest update.

How do I download an excel spreadsheet without having to save it? Is this a "new feature" or a bug. I was able to do it previously but now it makes me save all excel spreadsheets before I can open them.

Hi there, I have not been able to log into my school account from my firefox browser which is my preferred browser. Since FF, (in their infinite wisdom) once again screwed my computer up. I have lost all my bookmarks, all my apps (some of which I paid for), desktop gone, replaced with something I hate. This happened after the 100.0.2 update. I have tried to fix every thing for the pas few days with no success. I wonder if FF is going to pay me back for the paid apps I bought. This is a working computer and I need my files back. Also, I cannot find my restore button. I don't guess we need that anymore because big brother knows all oops, FF). PLEASE help.
