Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

I have search and have seen screen shots. But not actually how to do it. In firefox the Application Menu "the three lines or the Hamburger." How do you move it to the Left side of the screen instead on the default location on the top right. Also please correct me if this is not possible. And thank you in advance. I am on the latest version and currently using windows 10.

everytime you update firefox, i loose my personal toolbar that took me a long time to set up. how do i get it back without all the work? also, what happened to the printer icon in the main toolbar?

I am using Firefox 119.0.1 under Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3693

I had the page open in Firefox before the owner corrected the typo.

Immediately after the correction was online, all other browsers displayed the corrected version. But even now, hours later, after many resets by "Reload Tab", the Firefox tab still displays the typo-version.

I consider this to be a malfunction. "Reload tab" should bypass all caches, and reload the whole page directly from its server. - Is this a known bug? - If "Reload Tab" does not go to the source bypassing all caches, what doe it do? - Is there a workaround?

My iMac is OSX. I use Firefox browser most of the time. I had used Safari years ago. Chrome had rarely been used. Firefox problems recently began. Please help.

I have found that Firefox 119 won't work on St. Jude & USAA insurance sites. Had to use Safari on my I mac running 10.15.7 sites will load, but some features won't allow me to enter data into the page
