I need to run speech recognition in Firefox (OS solutions are not suitable in my case), but I can't get it to work. I've tried following these instructions in Nightly, Dev and regular version, but they all end with a network error. I also asked my friends to check and they had the same thing happen. Do I need to follow the steps to run offline or is the problem much deeper?

Only in Firefox freeze the live streams in YouTube , Twitch , etc if I set 1080p60 , however if a select 720p60 then the live stream play smoothly .

How to restore cookies which have been deleted by mistake. I have accidently cleared all cookies from the cache. however, some of the important information from one of the softwares (Zerodha) was stored in the cache as cookies. Now the entire data is lost. How can it be recovered

For example, firefox is open in the background and when I click on a url from discord, it opens the link in firefox but does not bring the page to me, I need to minimize the discord.

Autofill has been working perfectly fine until yesterday. There's not even a manage addresses in the privacy and security settings anymore.

Autofill card still works, but not addresses.

After updating my openSUSE Firefox package from version 122 to 123 every frame inside each window started to have weird grey overlay of scrollable area. I failed to find any description of such a thing happening, let alone how to get rid of it. I tried removing build-in distro-default preferences and had complete audit of all my custom preferences in about:config but none changed that behavior. I even updated to 124b4 but this also haven't changed anything. Naturally, nuking entire profile is not an option, I might as well replace the whole browser. So, how do I get rid of this thing?

How do I return ctrl+c to just copying the selected text?

I have checked the extension shortcuts and not found anything there. I have also searched extensively for solutions, before making this post.

Hello! Can you help me sort out a little problem? I am reaching out to seek assistance with a specific issue I am encountering in the Firefox browser.

In my previous browser, when opening new tabs, they were considered active even if I did not immediately switch to them. This behavior allowed me to open multiple tabs, for example, by using the mouse wheel to open several videos from the main YouTube page. Subsequently, when closing the main page, the videos would be available in the order they were opened, facilitating a seamless viewing experience.

Upon transitioning to Firefox, I have attempted to configure the browser to replicate this behavior using the Sidebery extension. However, even with the extension, new tabs are not recognized as active unless I explicitly switch to them, making it challenging to maintain the desired tab activation order.

I have explored various settings and experimented with the Sidebery extension but have not been successful in achieving the desired result. In contrast, the Yandex browser, with the "Switch to the previous active tab when closing a tab" option enabled, behaves in the manner I am accustomed to.

Could you please provide guidance on how I can configure Firefox to consider new tabs active immediately upon opening, regardless of whether I switch to them immediately?

Hello. I just wonder why firefox connects to bookmarks url's right after you open firefox? Opening page is always set to:about:blank. I discovered this when I want to know some netwrok traffic from my laptop and I wanted to know which software causes that traffic. And then I noticed that only open firefox it takes connection to bookmarks url even it does not open any web pages - because the opening page is about:blank

why do my add-ons keep getting disabled?

ff keeps disabling add-ons that i have used for years and even keep a v. 5 to use the older add-ons and use the latest ff developer to use w/ more modern websites. ff even disables add-ons that worked perfectly well in ff developer and does not even give me the opportunity to re-enable them like i could before.

is there any way to force my old version to let ME decide what i want disabled/enabled?

I have had this problem for a while. I am not sure what to do so that I can fix this. Whenever I open a pdf or any application that can be opened in the browsers shows me two options for firefox browser. I attached a picture that will make it obvious what the problem is.

When I open Firefox. Firefox Will NOT open any websites. If I disable ublock origin then enable again Firefox works but I get all the ADS. What I have to do is: Close firefox and restart Firefox but then I get this message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." Sometimes I have to restart Firefox as many as 10 times before Firefox works. I got to the point where I stop after the second try and just switch to Brave browser.

Before: Firefox use 99%. Brave Use 1% Now: Firefox use 75%. Brave use 25%

When you add a new bookmark to a folder it's added at the end of the existing list.

Is there a way to make Firefox add it at the top of the list, instead?

I found an old answer, but, sadly, the extension granting my wish is no longer.

Also, I already know about sorting, but it's not what I need, because I'm doing a lot of manual bookmarks reordering and sorting will nullify it.

I have accessed (Google) Youtube - History, over Firefox/DuckDuckGo for a number of years now without difficulty. Recently Google introduced a Two-step security check and, when selected, a question was sent to the handset (which I use as a tether for two laptops) which always quickly appeared and quickly responded to my finger's touch. In the last couple of weeks the question is still asked but nothing comes through to the handset, or the standby handset. For a test I then went through Google Chrome and that opens the Youtube History without any questions etc. It seems to hint that Google are using the Two-step etc to keep out access over other Browsers. I am based in the UK. All suggestions will be welcome. Kind regards, Tim Simpson

Under "Settings" > "Files and Applications" > "Downloads", I have selected "Save files to [Downloads]" and I have set the tick mark in the box ("Always ask you where to save files"). See screenshot.

This setting used to work fine for many a year. However, some months ago - and ongoing - Firefox does no longer ask me where to save a downloaded file. This is very annoying indeed!

How can I fix this?

I am using Windows 10, Firefox 124.0 (64-bit).

When I try to log into my AMEX account with FF, nothing happens. The screen refreshes itself, but no log in, and no error or other kind of message. I have entered my User Name and Password manually and using Auto fill, no success.

This problem was posted in January 2020 and I have tried all of the solutions. I have cleared cookies and cache for ALL sites and cleared saved logins for Amex. Still does not work. I have tried logged in and incognito mode. Still doesn't work. I can log in on Chrome with no problems.

It was working fine a few days ago.

The book mark menu option (displaying the bookmark menu and allowing selection) has disappeared from the book mark tool bar and I can't find a way to add it back. Any suggestions?

When I try to sign in to Delta.com, on my Macbook air, where I have an account and go there frequently, today I cannot access. Even when I try to reset my password, the page will not respond. I tried the same on Safari, and it worked just fine.

so the problem has to be with Firefox, not with Delta.
