I've seen in many places that cmd+` should allow me to switch between windows within an app on Mac. For me, it only works in Safari and other native Mac apps. It does not work in Firefox. I have the latest Mac OS and the latest version of Firefox. Is there a solution to this? I would LOVE for this shortcut to work, since I'm also a Windows user and it's the closest thing to the Windows window-switching shortcut.

Hail all:

Now, I have 2 Google accounts: My private one, and a Corporate Account, used for work. I always signed out of my normal window from the active account to the Corporate Account and vice versa, depending on which I needed to check. A common occurrence for many people.

But I noticed long ago, that in Private Window ... I seem to be signed out, opening Google in it. I use Private Window to avoid unnecessary clutter from sites dropping their stuff on my Temp folder. I hate clutter ... severe Asperger's.

I was thinking ... if I keep my private Google Mail on the prime non-Private window, can I sign in while this is open (and stays open) into my Corporate account in my Private Window?

If so, this would save me quite a bit of hassle, having to log out several times a day from my main, private account/mail and into the Corporate account mail, and when done vice versa to me private account mail.

Thank you.

This often happens when I’m using it to play music. It’s also restarted when I’m trying to watch a video, read a web page or, once, when I was part way through setting up login details for a new bank account. I want to apply updates when it’s convenient for me, not when Firefox decides to update. So, how do I prevent my activities being interrupted by Firefox update?

I appreciate that it’s important to keep it up to date but I’m not happy when my activities are interrupted because Firefox decides that it needs to update itself. I suppose one approach would be to apply updates every day when I start Firefox however; I often have a specific task in mind when I start it so I really don’t want the distraction of having to update first.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far. None of these have stopped Firefox restarting itself:

On the Settings page: Select “Check for updates but let you choose to install them” Disable “Use a background service to install updates”

Since the above didn’t stop the Firefox restarts, I tried: Select “Automatically install updates (recommended)” with “When Firefox is not running”

In 'about:config' : Set 'app.update.auto', to FALSE. Set ‘app.update.background.interval’ to 31536000 (i.e. 1 year) Set ‘app.update.interval’ to 31536000 (i.e. 1 year)

       Set 'app.update.auto.migrated' to FALSE.

In Windows Registry Editor, set: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox] "DisableAppUpdate"=dword:00000001

Used Win 10 to disable the “Mozilla Maintenance Service”: FF still restarts when I’m trying to use it. Also renamed the updater exe to: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updaterXXX.exe": auto update still runs (and installs a new updater.exe).

Hello,

I created a loading progress bar for Firefox which uses JavaScript to show how much of the current page is loaded at the bottom of the address bar.

Is there any way I can automate running JavaScript at the opening of a window? Like how we can change the appearance in userChrome.css?

Currently I'm copy pasting the script to console at the start of every window.
