Controlling camera in Firefox

Hi there,

I have a laptop running Windows 10, plus the latest version of Firefox. The laptop has a built-in webcam. I have also connected an external webcam via USB. This second camera is better quality and preferred, I visit a web site. When I first activate the camera, I am presented with a dropdown of available cameras. The USB camera appears in the list. All is fine. I instruct Firefox to "allow" this camera to be used. (first image) However, after a short time, less than a second, the same dialog is shown again, this time without the USB camera. (second image) There have been no actual hardware changes. I can then click "allow" again and the *integrated* camera works, i.e. not the desired camera. So, two questions, really. First, what just happened? Did Firefox try to control the USB camera, find that it couldn't, and redisplay the dialog showing only the "controllable" option? Second, my desired endpoint here is for the web site to use the USB camera. How do I achieve this? I can easily do this with Chrome but I like Firefox. TIA.

Hello! (sorry for my English in advance)

I frequently visit this website <mi.tv>, which is an online TV guide, to see what's on TV today, but the movies rerun TOO MUCH among the channels, making me always pass by the same movies everyday, again and again... So, I'd like to know if there's a way (JavaScript, CSS, some add-on, etc.) that allows me to hide some of the entries from the movies list (the movies I will never watch), and make the changes permanent. I've tried to use the Inspector, but, although I could manually hide some entries, it (obviously) didn't resisted a refresh, so I'd like a permanent solution, where I can mark a movie as "won't watch" (or put it in a list, or something), and it will be hidden in the site forever. I'm attaching two images, to show how the site is normally, and how I've hidden some entries using the Inspector (red arrows).

P.S.: this site has even an Android app, which is way more practical (in my opinion) than the site, but to ask for an Android solution would be too much, I think =D Anyway, it'd be already great to have a solution for this in Firefox Desktop!

Thank you in advance!

I realize that the page I am using findbar to search from reloads and scrolls to the top using some Javascript so that when I return to the searched page from a popup, the last search item is no longer focused when I come back so (or press F3 or Ctrl G) e.g. if I found the 29th hit, then I have to click down 30 times to get to the next search hit.

I tried using add-in Luminous to disable the reload/scroll to top of the page that I am searching but failed. It is a complicated add-in.

Is there any way to jump say 10 hits down at once?

I've been making my own Firefox theme using the Firefox Color extension. I uploaded an image but I can't figure out how to show the image on the new tab screen. Setting the new tab page color to transparent only makes everything white. I know the image is uploaded correctly because I can see some of it in the toolbar and tab list. Is it possible to show the image on the new tab page?

Remember Focus (search hit number) of Search in Page e.g. 17/34 and not back to 1/34

I have to search for a lot of entries in a long page, click on them to another window, do something (fill in a syllabus) and then go back to the long page and change the next search hit.

When I return to the long page the search in page is remembering where I am in the number of searches shown at the bottom of the page (e.g. 19/34) but when I click on the down button, instead of going to 20/34 it jumps back to 1/34 so then I have to press the down button 20 times to get to the next search hit.

Is there any way around this, so that I can just jump to the next search hit without having to press the down button 20 times?

I thought it might be the fact that the search is off screen but that is not it. It is the fact that I have left the page so the focus has been forgotten (except as the number 19/34 on the search in page bar at the bottom).

Is this a bug?

So, I'm a designer and UX Designer, and recently I installed Ubuntu and Firefox Developer. If you're a UX Designer you probably know about Figma.

The problem is that Figma uses the Alt key to show the distances between objects. But Firefox activates the Menu Bar every time I press it.

Can I remove the Firefox menu bar Alt shortcut?
