So I re-imported my bookmarks after losing them with the double profiles issue (which didn't fix my partial page loading problem permanently so if you know about that it would be helpful) but now I can't remove old ones or add new ones. I've tried deleting them with the right-click menu and using the star by the address for both adding and deleting. They open just fine but that's all.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if it would be possible to display all 3 rows of toolbar bookmarks in my bookmark toolbar? It used to show 3 rows, but I changed my monitor's display settings to make the text bigger, and now I can only see the first row of bookmarks at the top of the screen in Firefox. Thanks.

I am using Firefox 103.0.2 and the bookmarks colours have changed from yellow to grey. I have tried the following solutions:

1. https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html - I downloaded the .css file and copied it in the chrome folder in my profile 2. toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets - I set the preference to true.

Is there any way I can make them look yellow again?

I have the option 'Show editor when saving' checked, so I'm getting the bookmark editor popup window when I want to save a bookmark .

However, more often than not, a bookmark is being saved without me clicking the Save button .

My understanding is that it's a feature of sorts, but it's driving me bonkers, and I just can't remember what I need to do to not save a bookmark - hit esc. , click the star button again, use the keyboard shortcut, or whatever it is . Nor do I care to be frank, I really just want Firefox to not save a bookmark without confirmation , which I thought would be the main point of having the optional editor window .

Is there any way to disable autosave for bookmarks completely ? Sorry about the rant, it's just so unintuitive and annoying, and I'm tired of cleaning out my bookmark folders all the time ...

My bookmarks have experienced a strange problem. Most of them still retain the original correct title but they now show a Youtube icom to the left and in fact each one directs me to a youtube 'shorts' video. I have no explanation for this other than recently I started viewing some youtube 'shorts'. Any help on getting my proper bookmarks back much appreciated. I am running a current version of firefox. Thank you.

My problem is: Many times my bookmark subfolders just disappear.

If I do a search for a link in any of the lost folders at the top, find the link and select "open folder", the lost folders re-appear.

I imagine the folders are linked lists.

I wonder if the brower refresh or not refreshing is the issue. A display problem. Since they reappear, they are still there in memory. I doubt if they been written to the harddrive.

It is very frustrating. As I've read many others having similar issues, I think it merits attention.

Let them know to search for the link and open it in it's folder to reestablish the display. This IS NOT THE ANSWER ... but it is a work around.

I've systematically tried to troubleshoot it, but have found no clue for predicting when it will happen.

I was a programmer/analyst for decades. I imagine trying to keep firefox working is a real challenge.

Thanks Greg

Hey :)

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1265175 This no longer seems to work on my new mac (M1, FF 103.0.2)

Or maybe I did something wrong but I cannot figure it out.

Basically, I get no change whatsoever after creating the userChrome.css file and placing it in the appropriate "chrome" folder in my profile folder...

Please help me figure this out.

Best, Julien

Bookmark details for my bookmarks are suddenly missing. I still see the list of bookmark folders, and within each folder I still see the list of bookmark names. But the navigation details (i.e., URLs) for each bookmark are nowhere to be seen. Nothing happens when I click on a bookmark.

What could have happened? Is there a way to recover that information? (Unfortunately I don't have an up-to-date bookmark backup.)

The designers seem to be intent on making this as painful as possible. You'd think you could just open them, at least in text form. Wasn't that possible before? I can in Notepad if I want to look at hundreds of pages of gibberish that would take days to copy and paste over. In my updated Firefox it offers a Restore function but to do that I have to wipe out all my existing Bookmarks. Who dreams of this stuff? Why would anyone sane want to do that?
