I've noticed that when I download a PDF attachment or file firefox open the file on same tab instead of new tab.

How to I change settings to open pdf on new tab and not the same tab?

This is a self-hosted extension, that initially seemed to be updating. Using File > Open, the current installed version is 1.8.61

In the approved extension's (1.8.61) manifest:

After tapping Check For Updates, I can see the following in Browser Console:

Here is where the issue gets interesting. Having downloaded all the xpi files, supposedly signed, today while attempting to manually install a newer version, Firefox oftentimes complains "This add-on could not be installed because it has not been verified." The Console reports:

According to the Developer Hub, the resulting xpi has been signed.

I don't know what to try to get automatic updates to work. Please suggest.

Grammarly.com is not letting me log in because the continue bar keeps loading. It won't let me enter my email and press enter, nor is autofill working. I've contacted them, but the solutions they're telling me to do have had no success. I've already disabled other extensions to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. I cleared cache and cookies, and I've also removed the autofill option as well. My firefox is up to date.

On an IPAD, when I do the identical search on Firefox and Safari, on Safari, the results contain many stores with each store containing many small images. While the stores display for both, on Safari the images do display, but on Firefox, the results do not display the images. The blank spaces where the images would go are visible, but no images occupy those spaces. An example would be to search for 'scooters'. No such glitch happens using Firefox on macbook air

How can I fix this, if I can.

Since a couple of months I've noticed that my firefox has become veeeeer slow, and takes a lot of time to download facebook content, specially images. The page stalls forever and shows some empty areas with a small description like: "must be an image with people", but the content never loads, ant takes forever to navigate face book.

Any other browser works flawlessly and has no problems at all. The only one that cannot handle facebook is Firefox.

There's a way to solve this issue?

for ages, I was slightly annoyed by not being able to choose audio output for video conferencing in my browser favourite, Firefox. Toggle"hidden" config parameter media.setsinkid.enabled to true (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox/Experimental_features#apis) to enable it.

Could you find good places to share this? My impression is that this default is a huge UX disadvantage of firefox vs. chrome at the moment.

I subscribe to the Times.co.uk but past few days am unable to navigate on the website eg if I press 'show more on the web page' nothing happens. `It does work however if I access using my Safari browser, so clearly not a 'Times' issue

MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 FF 99.0.1 Have tried clearing Cache, Cookies, Troubleshoot mode.

Google Maps > Search > Share > Embed a Map, the map to be embedded is not displayed (likewise when embed is pasted into Wordpress page, for example)

While same procedure in Safari or Brave works as expected (map to be embedded is displayed in Google maps and embed code displays map in webpage using Brave or Safari).

From the Google Maps page > share > Embed a map > right click This Frame > Open in new tab And then looking in the Console. There are a few other ignored errors but then this...

Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?client=google-maps-embed&paint_origin=&libraries=geometry,search&v=3.exp&language=en&region=us&callback=onApiLoad”.

I am hitting a rare issue where some requests don't seem to complete (uploading files).

Unsure if the issue is at network level or in the JS code of the website I am using.

What is the best way to troubleshoot those requests that don't seem to complete?

In the Web Developer tools there's nothing under the Timing section.

Hello, so I am not very experienced and recently discovered how to customize Fire Fox using the userChrome.css file. I went through all of the steps that are required in order to do this. I set up a folder called chrome in the directory /Users/my name/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/x1oheo82.default-release To test if it works I wrote this into the userChrome.css file: @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */

I double checked if there was a hidden file extension or if I might be in the wrong directory. I tried different code to see if there was some error in the code but nothing changed. I watched countless tutorials on You Tube and tried to find answers on google but nothing that I did seemed to help. I don't know if it has something to do with the operating system I am running or if it is a limitation of my computer hardware (I am running Fire Fox on an m1 mac).

Every time I need to upload something to a website, when I click "browse" to browse my computer for the file, the window to browse my computer never pops up. I don't know why it randomly stopped working.

I'm unable to check out when I'm signed into my accounts at target & clinique.com.Target say my checkout page is slowing down firefox-click stop -I click stop&I cannot check out.

I keep getting this prompt: "It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies." I have tried so many things and nothing is working. I've had this happen before sometimes at the beginning of a semester; but I have been able to restore it in the past. Now, nothing I do works. Please help. Also, how can we prevent this from happening again? Kaltura is a well known website used by colleges and universities for teaching online classes and playing back video. Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. I think I'm stuck in a loop somewhere, please help! thanks in advance

I am not able to load www.washingtonpost.com despite providing exceptions in all privacy and security exceptions. I am currently operating in "Strict" but the same thing happens in "Standard". Most of my attempts are from links, but it won't load if I just load in a https. This does not happen if I use Safari as my default browser or just enter the web site on Safari.

Recently upgraded to a new Macbook and added the latest version of Firefox. For some reason, I am unable to upload or attach files on any website. This includes things like adding attachments to Gmail messages, uploading photos to Facebook, or uploading media to my Wordpress site. There is no error message or pop-up box -- when I click "attach" or "upload" absolutely nothing happens.

The same files upload without issue via Safari or by using Firefox on my older Macbook, so it's not a file-specific or website-specific issue.

How can I correct this? I like using Firefox as my default browser, and it's annoying to have to switch over to Safari every time I want to upload a file. I've searched older posts here, but the suggested fixes (restarting your computer, making sure location services are enabled) do not do anything.
