I've been having problems with some websites not displaying content, others displaying error messages. So have been going through the Troubleshooting Mode and diagnostic process.

The cause is the MS CoPilot extension for Firefox.

Useful in other ways as I discovered several other extensions I don't need, hence have remained disabled.

Sometimes all add-ons / extensions break randomly and are disabled (the icon of the extensions is also broken under "Manage Your Extensions").

The extensions are visible under "about:addons", but the slider is turned off and the icon in front of each extension is broken / empty.

It seems that deleting these 2 files- compatibility.ini and extensions.json inside the firefox profile folder, usually fixes the issue. Only these 2 files though, don't delete anything else.

No need to mess around with the ff profiles or anything else, just deleting those 2 files and restarting the firefox usually fixes the issue with the "unregistered" addons.

This thread is for the search function, as I found some VERY old and outdated suggestions for the aforementioned issue using the search function.

I wonder what causes the extensions to "unregister" randomly.

In windows 10, unrepeatably, firefox won't open google so I immediately open it in a new tab and it works. This happens randomly so I can't do any tests to find out if it is an extension or hardware acceleration that is the problem.

hello, I've been trying to follow Firefox's official guide in the docs and ready 3rd party articles in order to enable payment method auto-fill in Firefox. however, this section seems to be missing from my settings page.

under Privacy and Security, I cannot find anything to do with saved payment methods or the checkbox to enable payment method auto-fill.

how can I resolve it?

I cannot remove "Your browser is being managed by your organisation" and seems to be stopping the home settings saving. They simply revert back to the default (see image) when I restart Firefox. Not sure what is meant by "your organisation" as I am a personal user, not organisation. I'm the single user of the browser (e.g. just one user on my PC, which is me) and also Admisitrator. Can someone help me remove this. Thanks John

I'm using the 'Simple Tab Groups' add-on on my Mac computer and am happy with it but I have one question. When I click on a web link in an email (I use the native Apple Mail), it of course takes me to my default browser which is Firefox, and then within Firefox to the simple tab group that I had open in Firefox before clicking the link. Logically I guess that's reasonable behavior but typically that's not necessarily what I want; I'd rather it open the web page in my 'main' tab group.

Is there a configuration option to say: "When clicking on a web link in an email, open to this xxxxxx default tab group"?

latest 124.0.2 causing severe problems, it will near instantly bloat to fill all RAM and SWAP even in safe mode causes system load over 24! only solution is to reboot very problematic on for ex: https://epg.pw/xmltv/epg_CA.xml hard to get a screencap since system is nearly totally unresponsive. Hello, I'm using samsung odyssey g7 32' monitor connected to my laptop with a rtx 2060. The monitor is connected with a minidisplay port to display port cable. The problem doesn't occur on the laptop screen but it does on the samsung screen. The flickering stops when i make the window a little smaller. I am using KDE plasma 6.0.3 but the problem was also present when i was using Hyprland as my desktop enviroment. I tried troubleshoot mode but nothing changed. I am seeking help. Thanks.

I realized since I upgraded my MacMini to 14.4.1 I can no longer 'post' into any of the yard sale/garage sale sites I am on, not even MarketPlace. All I get after a long wait is a 'technical problem' notice. Am I doing something wrong?

With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. I saw through several threads on how to try and fix this issue but none seem to work for me, when im trying to watch a video on regular firefox it doesnt work but on safe/troubleshooting mode. and it works when i put the video in a new tab but not on the main site. and while looking in the console i get this "Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://static1.e621.net/data/ab/71/ab71a84c62b9d77fa0eb68c5e64dc165.webm. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 206. any help will definitely be nice

Hi. Strange request I know because Firefox is working perfectly but Google has failed me.

We have a printer/copier in our small club. The IP address assigned is 192.168.1.125. Typing this into a browser should bring up the copier admin dashboard.

When I do this using Firefox everything works fine, BUT when I use any other browser such as Chrome, Edge or Opera I get the "Cannot connect" "Error connecting" etc message.

I removed Bitdefender antivirus and disabled Windows Defender but it's still the same.

Any network people who can point me in the right place as to where to look or report to the correct forum.

My Firefox can only be shut down by TaskManager, or by clicking on the three horizontal bars and then dropping to exit.

So I can't close any single tab 'without closing them all', that's the real annoyance. I also can't close any individual windows I opened instead of a new tab, without closing all tabs and windows. Finally the classic windows ALT+F4 closure that's built into Windows doesn't close Firefox, and if it did I suspect ALT+F4 would close them all. Bottom line Firefox is seriously close-resistant.

What precipitated this was I allowed a previous Firefox update to download-install, and it tanked my performance, I figured your team would fix that issue, but in the meantime what I did was uninstall that version and reinstall the version I had been running before that update. Tilt! That action resulted in the close windows or tabs problem.

Summary: I am using the latest version now, but with it came this "can't close any individual tab without closing them all, and can only close even then except by Taskmanager or by clicking the 3 horizontal bars then dropping to Exit which also closes all Firefox tabs and Windows. This problem has surfaced before in this support, and none of the solutions worked, probably because I got to this place uniquely. I did read before submitting this.

Hey all, as of the past few days when I get the prompt to enter my password on Outlook.com (And microsoft.com) and hit 'sign in' the page just reloads and nothing happens. There is no failed login message, the page just reloads like I didn't hit sign in. I have disabled all of my extensions, cleared cookies and cache, ETP... with no luck.

Works fine on Chrome for android...

I'd really like to stay with Firefox so all help seriously appreciated
