using Firefox Developer Edition Version 130.0b5 (64-bit)

https-only mode is enabled for all windows enabled, with a couple exceptions. one of those exceptions is www.bom.gov.au , which does not support that mode. anytime someone tries to open a page from there in said mode, leads to a page that redirects to it's homepage, highlighting that it is unsupported, and changing from any specific url to the redirect url.

in the past it worked well to have this page listed under the exceptions for https-only, always loaded without a hitch. but now it's treating the page as not an exception. i've removed it from the exception list and tried loading, re-added and tried loading, but the result is always the same. can anyone please help?

When I go to listen to my KQED passport films, I used to be able to hear the dialogue at less than 50%. Now I need to turn it up to 100% to even vaguely hear anything. I was wondering if there is any way I can make it louder. This happened only recently. Thanks for any suggestions.

Secure connection failed and Firefox did not connect Firefox Last updated: 01/16/2024 39% of users voted this helpful

This article explains why you may see a Secure Connection Failed or a Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue error page, and what you can do.

If you see a Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead error page, see What do the security warning codes mean? and How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites.
To troubleshoot other error messages, see Websites don't load - troubleshoot and fix error messages.

Table of Contents

   Secure connection cannot be established
       Secure Connection Failed
Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue
   Website issues
       TLS version unsupported
       HSTS required
   Security software conflict
   Incorrect system clock
   Other secure connection issues

Secure connection cannot be established

When a website that requires a secure (HTTPS) connection tries to secure communication with your computer, Firefox cross-checks this attempt to make sure that the website certificate and the connection method are actually secure. If Firefox cannot establish a secure connection, it will display a Secure Connection Failed or Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue error page. Secure Connection Failed

A Secure Connection Failed error page will include a description of the error and a Try Again button. There is no option to add a security exception to bypass this type of error.

Fx97SecureConnectionFailed ~~~ The url gives me this can you help please its not bitdefender total security blocking it I dont think https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-firefox-did-not-connect?as=u&utm_source=inproduct

I view movies and tv series on Amazon Prime and others every night . Suddenly I no longer can. On Prime I get a msg. saying I must update ff. It tells me the process and I have done it at least 6 times. When I go to 'about Firefox it tells me that I am already up to date, have version 115.18 esr. I am on a Dell Business computer, Vostro 470. Windows 7, service pak 1. Processor is i5-3450CPU @3.10GHz. RAM 400 GB , 4 processor cores. 64 bit. Prime disk466 GB 395 GB free. I'm a senior lady, not very computer literate. I have a ton of duplicate files but don't know which to remove. If I got help I could free up a lot more space. I watch everything on my computer monitor. I don't understand as the esr was supposed to allow us to continue. Please help as I am pretty homebound and this is about my only entertainment.

I’m facing an issue with my WordPress website when viewed in Firefox. I’ve uploaded a custom tool( Calculadora Gestacional ) that includes a date input field, but whenever I select a date, the field displays "NaN NaN NaN" instead of the actual date.

The tool works as expected in other browsers, so I’m not sure if this is a compatibility issue with Firefox or something I need to adjust in the code. Has anyone encountered this kind of issue with date inputs in Firefox? Any advice on how I might troubleshoot or fix it would be really appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

This message describes the problem clearly and invites troubleshooting advice from Firefox users. Let me know if you’d like to add more details or if there’s anything specific you’d like to emphasize!

I have a D-link 4G Router whose IP Address is 192.168.1.1 Its does not support https, only http.

I am unable to configure it using Firefox, I have to use Chrome. Firefox prevents me connecting to it because (a) It does not support https and, if I get round this issue (b) Firefox reports that the Router's security certificate is out of date

I can never get round (b), there are no options to override Security Certificate is out of date.

I can override the same issue if I use Chrome (but I would prefer to use Firefox)

It seems a bit over-authoritarian to me, to prevent me from logging into and configuring my own Router !!!! I believe Firefox should always provide a mechanism for the user to override these security issues.

I have Firefox on 3 devices: 2 computers and 1 phone. Firefox is not syncing my data across the 2 computers. I've signed out of all my devices and back in again and only the 1 (home computer) is experiencing this issue.

My history and bookmarks are not syncing, however, as a test, I changed the display name and that updated across all devices.

I'm not sure what's going on but I would like assistance resolving this issue.
