Xmarks Sync is excellent but is closing down. How can I move to Firefox Sync from Xmarks Sync without loss of what is currently synchronised or any other damage unknown? I use two or three computers almost all the time (foolish, I know, but that's history)!

I'm brazilian and I'm using the Firefox Sync. But I'm having a little problem: I want use this add-on in English, but the language its automatically changed to portuguese after installation... The worst part is that is not the portuguese of Brazil that is installed, but of Portugal!

My question is: can I install choosing the language? How can I do this?

I installed the English Version of Firefox and after I installed the add-on, ok, the add-on was installed in English, but after install de portuguese version again, the language was changed again!

downloaded Firefoxsetup.3.6.10 from Mozilla Firefox Sync webpage. Twice Installed > restart Firefox > opens as normal NO other message. Sync is NOT in "options" window. Windows XP SP3 up to date. Was 3.6.10 before instal. How do I instal Sync?

I don't want to sync everything at this time. As a user of Xmarks, I only synchronized bookmarks. I have not been able to find out what gets synchronized if "Preferences" is checked.

I have been trying to setup Firefox Sync but have made a mess of it. I don't remember setting a "secret phrase" but it thinks I did and I don't have a clue what is was. I want to do my initial sync and set up a second computer but can't logon to the Sync server. I tried an uninstall/reinstall but when I tried to start over, it wouldn't let me use my origianl account name. Can't I delete the original account/data and start over? What should I do? Help, please.

Well, I got the impression from your original instructions that I would be able to set my own "secret phrase", but the screen pictured in the instructions page never appeared. I got instead another screen with a "Firefox Sync Key" which I was required to print or save.

Is this key the same as the secret phrase you mentioned? If so, can I change it? If not, how do I get to create a secret phrase?

circle in bottom right of window circles for maybe 10seconds, but nothing changes. sync could tell when i have changed the password on one computer but not the other, so obvious communication. very few bookmarks and history - fresh installs

i note that others are having problems with this version.  this is the first version i have used.

I have set up a Firefox Sync account lately. Yesterday, I backed up my laptop but forgot to back up the sync. Now, I can't set up the Firefox Sync service anymore, as my email address has already registered but don't have a sync key to access.

I would like to know how to reset the sync key.

Ok so I recently set-up Sync when I heard Xmarks was going down. I installed it on my desktop and laptop without a problem. But recently I noticed things weren't syncing, and it's always written "connect" next to the sync icon in firefox on my desktop, but on my laptop only the icon is displayed. So on my desktop, I go to the firefox options, under the sync tab, and where there should be my account name written, it's just blank. I also can't type anything in there. If i go directly to tools -> sync -> preferences, nothing happens. If i go with tools -> add-ons -> firefox sync and click options, i get these 3 buttons written "connect", "disconnect", and "sync now". None of the buttons do anything, and to exit this "menu" i have to go through alt+f4. So mm yeah that's it, what's wrong? Thanks

I have accidently deleted all my data for Firefox 3 when I uninstalled the Beta 4. I thought I would be able to get Sync to restore all the data, but it requires a Sync Key that I have no access to and cannot remember. Is there anything I can do to either A. recover my data or B. Somehow recover my Sync Key?

and entered my username and password. But got this message: "An unexpected error occured. Please try again later"

I have tried this a number of times but get the same message.

I have imported my contacts to IE before I ever installed Firefox. Now I have Firefox v3.6.1 & Sync installed & had been using for at least 2 months. Two days ago all my bookmarks were gone. I've exited the browser & reset my computer all to no avail.

I reformat my desktop, after reformat when I try to add my firefox home addin with my account it ask for the sync key. But I don't have the sync key unfortunatly i deleted it. Kinldy help me how to resotre my sync key.
