Suddenly I have very old, deleted bookmarks reappearing in my bookmarks folders. I have to manually re-delete each one individually only to have them all reappear the next time I open Firefox. This has to end. What has Mozilla done? Another thought- if Mozilla does not keep any of our info how are bookmarks that have been deleted for more than 2 years deleted reappearing?

I got started using Firefox a few years ago. Once I got adjusted to the different controls, I really like using it, BUT...

I have updated it three times now (the last time was on accident after ignoring the notice for a long time). Every update breaks the browser for me. I start getting Windows that don't load - the dot just bounces but the window stays blank for hours. The browser fails to load anything. On restart I get message that Firefox failed to close properly. New windows take up to 6 or 7 tries to load a link, and the same for loading into a tab.

The first couple times I updated, I followed the guidance to save favorites, dump the browser and restart from scratch, then load everything back in. While it worked, it's a PITA for a browser that updates pretty frequently, and I think routine updates should be able to load without having to spend hours troubleshooting and reloading. I'm not stupid or computer illiterate - I manage a Linux server cluster at work, but I can't manage my Firefox at home through a routine update.

Can anyone help get Firefox to load and run properly such that it works even after an update? I hate Edge, and Internet Explorer, while easy to learn is full of security holes and often DOA at most websites these days. I refuse to go Google, and I'd prefer to not learn another browser. I like Firefox, but the post-update problems are killing me.

My banking institution 'updated' and since then I am asked for 2 step verification almost every time I log in. I do NOT have that checked. My FF privacy settings are to allow cookies for their website, and the adblocker has been set to allow this website. Yet I am still asked. The idiots at my banking institution insist it is FF and suggested I call them for help. Seriously. That is how dumb they are. They want me to send screenshots of my pc to show FF settings, which is NOT POSSIBLE! They are dumb dumb dumb. I don't know what else to do. No problem for years til their wonderful update. Ready to switch accounts. Any ideas about settings on FF?

Hi Folks!

I'm located in the U.S.A. in the Denver, CO. area. I'm not using a VPN or any sort of IP masking technology, so my normal Comcast public IP address should be what's visible when I browse the web. Also the language is set to English-US in Firefox's settings.

Recently I noticed that when I try to login at GoDaddy, the GD website redirects me to the India version of their site (in.godaddy.com). I'm posting in this forum because this only happens when I go there in Firefox. If I use Chrome or Edge (i.e. Chrome rebranded) I get the U.S. version of the GD site. I've verified that my public IP, currently 98.43.226.196, is in fact registered to Comcast. I've cleared cookies and cache, restarted Firefox, but GD still sends Firefox to its India version. Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?

Thanks!

Starting today, when I click on a video in Youtube using Firefox 88.0.1, the video will not start. When I click the start icon in the middle of the screen the page reloads and the video starts. Problem is when browsing you have to select a video and then when the video page loads you must start the video. When using the back button, you must go back two pages not one.

Until at least around 1 month ago it was possbile to open all tabs from another device's firefox. You could go to the Synced Tabs Sidebar, right-click the other device's name and click something named along the lines of "open all tabs".

When I tried to do this today, I noticed that the "normal" way to the Sync-menu via |||\ symbol doesn't work anymore and I at least found out that I could get there using via the firefox account. I can send a (single) tab to another device and I can see the list of the sync'ed tabs of a computer, but it is no longer possible to right-click that device's name and thereby getting to the "open all tabs" option.

After this was - seemingly? - patched out, is there any other way left to do this or was there any new way implemented?

thx

My Evernote web clipper stopped working last night, and multiple attempts to get it working, including help from Evernote support. The issue seems to be related to cookies in some way. I was wondering if anyone else was having any problems with Evernote. Access to the Evernote website is also being affected.

Hi everybody

For some time now, tabs from which I open a link in a new tab close themselves when I click on the link's cross. Example: In yahoo, I open an email with a video attached. I ask for the video to be played with VLC When I close VLC, the yahoo tab closes immediately.

It's all new, I haven't changed anything in my configuration or options.

Thanks for your help .
