When I want to start up Firefox I receive the following message, Cannot start up the aplication, press OK to end it.

Yesterday it start up Firefox but no website was shown

Can someone help me, I tried several things as new install e.g.

I have once again returned to get some help with a problem I've been encountering for a while now.

I've been using Firefox browser for years now with no problems. When I bought a new top end PC about a year ago I've started noticing that I have problems with browsing the internet. At first I ignored it, but the problem persisted to this day and now it started driving me nuts.

When I open a random new website, or a website I haven't visited in a while I get the error message "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site."

Then I have to refresh the page up to 10+ times, which is incredibly annoying, before it loads properly.

- my internet connection is stable, as I don't have this problem on my old PC (Windows 7, PC connected to internet with cable directly to modem) - I do not seem to have this issue with the Edge browser on new PC that came with Windows 10. I have not tried using Chrome or any other browsers - I use a Asus RT-AX55 Router, the connection to new PC is with cable. - I do not use any VPN

Some people have suggested that this could be an issue with the router's settings, but then why is the issue not present when using Edge?

Please help and advise what could I possibly do, because I have zero clue whatsoever...

I have Firefox set to ask me where to download files that I want to download. It works for normal download links, but when I'm using my credit card company site's PDF viewer to look at a statement and I click on the download icon or link in the upper-left, it simply downloads the PDF (to my chosen "Save files to" folder in Settings). Is there a current way to change this behavior? Is this something that the website's code determines, overriding my Firefox setting?

Firefox use a lot of CPU time ( it reaches 100% ) while watching youtube videos in 720p on Windows 10, and videos lags and stutters too much. Not using any ad blockers, non of plug-ins are on. It does work just fine on Ubuntu on the same machine Vids also were working fine on previous popular web browser known for its spyware

Using hardware acceleration is on in browser settings. Specs are: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz 4,00 GB x64 Windows 10 Home edition 22H2 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M

I had set up my homepage on Firefox as "currently.att.yahoo.com". All of a sudden I can't get that site. When I try I get a message indicating the site isn't available in China. Why is this happening and how do I fix it. A step by step way to cure this would be appreciated. Please reply to aulonz2021@att.net my aulonz2019@att.net address is on Yahoo and I can't get there. I use the Yahoo homepage for most of my browsing and I am really upset that I can't get there!

Hi, I just created a bunch of folders for my long list of bookmarks. However, when I click on Bookmarks all I see is the same long, unorganized list instead of those folders. How can I rectify this?

So it looks like notifications stopped working with the lastest Firefox version 120.0.1. Specifically notifications functionality has stopped working for ForexFactory.com. The site says browser disallows notifications though the settings in the address bar indicate that they are allowed. This is also the case for other sites like MarketWatch. Wondering if there is a bug or my install is corrupted. Let me know if anyone else is experiencing this or knows anything about this. Thanks.

When printing a page to PDF, with headers & footers, the default setup shows the date in right footer. However this date format is in (for me) awkward US format . Is there a way to show the date according to system regional short date & time ?

cAPTCHA is recent problem in Firefox browser ... never before was it a problem. cAPTCHA keeps asking to choose an image but keeps on never verified ... I had to get Chrome browser to finally log in to a site I wanted.

Hi,

i want to autoupdate firefox silently on a bunch of servers. When the mentioned settings are in place i'm still promted to update firefox when opening it. This isn't possible for the users as this is something a systemengineer should do. Is there anything i'm missing for a silent autoupdate? There is no JSON file in place. these settings have been distributed by a GPO.

I have been using Firefox Mozilla for many years. This morning it opened up fine. Then this afternoon (Dec 7, 2023) it would not open for me and when I try to open a new tab it says that it crashed.

I looked and I do have Firefox as my start up browser in my settings. Thank you for any advice on getting back to my favorite browser.

Machine is Windows 10 with a Logitech wireless keyboard. Latest Firefox browser. Not always but sometimes when using Firefox browser to log in somewhere or enter data on some web site, I'll get an incorrect entry for a key stroke. e.g. I enter a 0 and get a 1. But if I enter a 1 I get a 1. So far the error key has always been different.

I've tested things by launching a notepad or Word document and entering the character and in those all works fine. But go back to Firefox and I get the error again. What I have to do is to close and re-launch Firefox and so far this fixes things. It's an intermittent problem which forces me to keep another browser on the machine and ready. Imagine entering a password when all of a sudden you type 'X' and it gives you an 'E'. Really frustrating!

For the past 3 months or so, anytime I try to login to Sony Playstation website I can't get past entering my email. After putting in my email and hitting next the website slows and firefox slow crashes. I have to force firefox to close. I have tried leaving a message to Playstation Twitter support. I've noticed their sign in page has change a few times recently so I wonder if it's an issue they caused. Either way it would be appreciated if it was looked into. Always feels like a lot of websites only care about chromium. By the way it works fine on edge or chrome. It also does not work with private browsing, so I don't think it's my extensions or cookies. I have also tried multiple computers.

When signing into google on a fresh install of FireFox this is the message I get:

Couldn’t sign you in This browser or app may not be secure. Learn more

Other support tickets about this problem are on browsers like Chrome and Brave, can't find a single one that is about FireFox. Please help.

Hi everybody, since yesterday I cannot use DeepL Translate on Firefox: most of the functions are blocked. I cannot sign into the website or download the app, and most of all the translation function is not available. I have checked uBlock but it doesn't seem to be related to the problem. No problem with any other websites, it's just DeepL. I have not changed any of my privacy or cookie settings, so I don't understand why all of sudden it's no longer working. I can use it in Chrome but I would prefer to restore its functions in Firefox, which is my main browser. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Have a good day.

Recently I´ve encountered problems with (mostly) accessing nba.com. I don´t get the resultbar. Today klicking on one of the menue items (Schedule) Firefix refused to load the page claiming "Not safe". As you can see I´ve accessed the page a number of times. /Leif Arvidsson
