I've been using Firefox credit card autofill since it was introduced, with no problem. Recently when I tried to fill in a form with my credit card information stored in Firefox, I get the message in a popup box entitled Windows Security- "Firefox is trying to use stored credit card information. Confirm access to this Windows account below."

Why is this happening? Can I disable this in Windows Security or in Firefox?

I started using Firefox for the first time last week and yesterday I decided to update my computer (Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4), and once the update was finished I saw a ? instead of the Firefox icon. I was still able to open the app, but it was as if everything was completely reset. "Welcome to Firefox" page, had been signed out of my account -- and even when I signed in, I got an email that a "new" device was logging in, and my entire account had been wiped of all extensions, bookmarks, settings, etc.

Thankfully, I was able to recover an older version of my profile to replace the deleted bookmarks, browser history, and most (but not all) of my settings -- but I absolutely do not want this to happen every time I update my computer, and I don't even understand why this happened in the first place. No browser I've ever used has just erased all my data and history when all I did was install a minor update to my OS. Not a great first impression tbh, but if I can prevent it from ever happening again that would help.

Win8.1, hp pavilon, Firefox 76 (64-bit). Logins & passwords fields is black, can't see anything there but can edit. Whet pressing Backspace last letter gone and black field gone and can see everything. Its look like "cover" on these fields. How fix it? Thanks for your help.

The website https://www.finanznachrichten.de collects financial news from publishers all over the world. Some news are just a link to the publisher's website - this works still fine. Some news can be read directly on the webpage fully. But some articles are NOT displayed fully - only the beginning of the text is displayed followed by a link "Den vollständigenArtikel lesen...." (in english: "Read the full article..." ) This link leads to the full article on the publisher's website. My problem is: This link is NOT DISPLAYED anymore in firefox in all news of this kind on this website. But is was normally displayed in older versions of firefox. By the way: the webmaster of finanznachrichten.de wrote that THEY didn't apply any changes!!!

I just update firefox each time a new release comes up and I always keep all settings as they were before. In other browsers (IE for example) it is ALSO still displayed!!! So my idea is that a setting in firefox prevents those links from being displayed(?) Is that possible and if yes: Which settings do affect the displaying of web-links? How can I tell if iCloud.com does not allow for passwords to be saved in FF, for security reasons? . . . I think this must be the reason . . . I'm using the latest, up-to-date versions, of Win 10 and FF

Websites prohibit password saving

Some websites do not allow for passwords to be saved for security reasons. If you have followed the steps above, but are still not prompted to save a password when logging in to a certain website, that site may have disabled password saving.

I am a user of Mike's Weather Page (and have used it for years). I disable my ad blocker when using it because on the top of the right-hand side, his Facebook page is vertically bookended with ads. I am using MS System 10.

The site works well with Chrome, and I can see his Facebook page displayed. But I am unable to see his Facebook page and the bookend ads with Firefox. All I see is the hotlink URL for his Facebook page, which, if I click on it, opens a new window containing his Facebook page.

How do I get the Facebook page to open within Mike's Weather Page?

Beginning May 3, Facebook is not functioning fully on Firefox.

In my groups, including the one for which I am the administrator, the space that displays at the top of the feed and reads, "Write something..." is missing. This means I cannot post to the groups. I can post to my personal page but the buttons in the dropdown "..." do not work. I cannot edit or delete anything I post.

In the following post (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1178871) it lists how to get rid of the Bink "hijacking" in Firefox. However, I don't have the SearchAssist Incognito extension installed. Additionally, I have removed Bing completely from the search options in the default as well as one click search engines under Firefox options. However, I Bing is STILL hijacking my search's. If I open a new window, it's Bing search, if I search in the address bar, it's Bing search. Nothing I do gets rid of Bing. Help? Thanks in advance!

I was experimenting with whether I could disable certain cipher suites in Firefox in order to force a remote website to negotiate a different one. However I found that if I went into about:config and searched for settings with "ssl3" in the name, and set ALL of them to false (security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_128_sha, security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_256_sha, etc. -- there were 15 of them), I am still able to connect to https://www.instagram.com/ , https://www.google.com/ , and https://www.paypal.com/ with no error, even after restarting.

However, https://support.mozilla.org/ does give me the "Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP" error. On the other hand, https://www.mozilla.org/ works with no error. I cannot discern any pattern as to why some sites work and some don't, even after disabling all cipher suites. Why are *any* of them accessible?

Out of the blue I received a message stating I was being attacked on my Mac by software that maybe Ransomware. I was asked to close and delete the files.

I run Mac Os 10.14.6 and have never had any previous problems. After quarantining these files I quit Firefox and then could not open it. I therefore deleted the .app and reinstalled Firefox 75. I can only start up Firefox by using the Terminal Command window using the Profile manager. I created a new profile but cannot see my old profile within the Profile Manager. I can find the old profile under Profile's in Application Support/Users. So despite having a new default set created, I still cannot get the Firefox.app to open by clicking on it. I have now deleted the old profile and still cannot open the Firefox app from the dock or applications folder.

I've just begun using my new PC, all complete with Windows 10 - whereas I've been enjoying Windows 7 and I've struck problems immediately. The worst one is that on my browsing page the three buttons to minimize, resize and close, in the top right corner have all gone. Please find them for me...

I am living in Spain, and browse in English. Often when I do a search with Google, although the result is linking to a page in English, the final page is in the one for the Spanish market (es_Es).

A good example is the Seagate website. Even direct links from other forums are redirected to their Spanish version. Also, after cleaning cache for Seagate sites, restarting, AND trying it in a Private Window.

My config: macOs 10.15.4 set to UK English. Firefox Dev Edition 76.0b3, (language same as OS) with: - Privacy & Security: Enhanced Tracking Protection > Standard - Privacy & Security: Locations > "Block new requests asking to access your location" checked - about:config > geo.enabled set to false. Google Search Region Settings are set to "United States". –

This used to load without issues until a couple of months ago. Now it does not. It has been a while since i visited the website but Other browsers are perfectly able to open it now. - Cleared history and cache and cookies. - Check for the ipv6, DNS prefetch and No proxy fixes in firefox. - No malware found via BItdefender, Panda Cloud and Malwarebytes.

It specifically fails to load with the following error code: An error occurred while processing your request. Reference #97.15e51cb8.1587195116.5338f60

Any pointers ?

I'm using Firefox with add ons including No Script. Something called jackhillty.net keeps following me around. What is it and how do I get rid of it ? P.S. I'm not a programmer or IT person. Please keep it simple. Thanks

How do I disable the Browser Console box which opens on top of my homepage each time Firefox starts. I have uninstalled Firefox and cleaned out the registry with "Registry First Aid" before reinstalling Firefox. But the Browser Console returned with the new installation.

There was a similar question posted 2 years ago, but (with one possible exception) those who answered that question had apparently not encountered the problem and none provided a solution.

I use a forum which has pictures imported into it from third party sites such as Flickr. However not all images that are posted to the site, https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php are visible when using Firefox. I can get around the problem by looking at the images, such as the ones here, https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=47701.0 using Edge rather than Firefox. How do I solve the problem?

Using FF52 because I don't want to lose SPECIFIC functionality I still have with that version. That functionality trumps all other considerations. Period.

In 52, I can open my bookmarks in a separate window ... that way it doesn't conflict with browser real estate AT ALL. Its behind browser window or on top as needed with a 'focus' click.

BUT ..... even if that is possible with Quantum ...

In that window, I want ALL bookmarks ... not just their folders ... to be visible, if needed. More specifically ....

...  I want to be able to open ANY two or more folders at one time (and keep them open) ... which is how I normally have this.        All in One Sidebar enabled this in FF52.       I do not want last folder closed when I open new one.     And I don't want to view bookmarks in a right hand side half of window.     (This is how FF was before 4.0, how it was enabled with AIOS by FF 29, etc.)

Please tell me if this combination of functionality is possible in current versions. Thank You.

Whenever I receive a link to webpage in a chat from these two applications, Firefox is unable to open them when set as a default browser.

The links are valid and tested, since they open when the URL is manually copied and pasted in the address bar of Firefox.

This is a specific Firefox problem as I have successfully opened links by clicking on them from these apps using Brave/Chrome as default browsers for a comparison.
