FF will now not let me log into a site Ive used many times, Ive cleared the cache, remove data, Im not to much techno knowledge but have done that then gone to saved log ins and removed original log in that was saved, gon back to the (site which is my energy supplier) put in my email, then password all is correct but it just will not open anything the dots on top left of page just keep going back and forth, yet if i go onto IE and log in it comes up instantly, maybe I should change!!

I was logged into a website which hanged and when I tried to log back on it started giving me the error PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR .I've tried to troubleshoot with all the help I could get on these pages and others, I'm at my wits end. The website works on my phone browser, so it's clearly this laptop or my internet dongle.

It's also happening across all browsers. I don't have VPN or antivirus software on except Microsoft Essentials. I've tried removing real time protection on that but it didn't work. I tried creating a new profile of Firefox, nothing. I tried going to about:config page and setting security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling to false, nothing so set it back to true I've gone to task manager to see whether there is a task don't recognise so I can stop it, nothing. Pleeeease heeeelp meeeeee!

For about +1 year, every time I open a Firefox window, in Windows 10 Task Manager I see 5 to 10 windows are open and take up more than 800MB of space.

To this day I still haven't found a solution.

Can anyone tell me how to stop this process as it slows down my Toshiba Satellite Pro R50 C10X laptop which is 4 years old and still very healthy ....

This morning I started Firefox (78) in Windows 10 Pro (10.0.18363) I got a red message saying that something was wrong with my Bookmarks and click here to fix Did that twice Tried to do a fix that removed and then reinstalled a couple of files (can't find the fix nor the files location) that didn't work although it did replace the files. Still no bookmarks I am logged into my Firefox and synch is on.

This, nor any of the other FAQ/Help have not worked https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks

I have no restore ability either: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them

i have no idea what happened thanks for any/all help

Tengo el problema parecido a esta pregunta resuelta de hace dos años: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1227358

El problema está en que hay dos soluciones posibles: he probado con los dos archivos de FNMT_P11 (tanto como el FNMT_P11.dll como el de FNMT_P11_x64.dll) y con ninguna ruta (SysWOW ni con System32) me deja cargar el módulo.

He probado a reestablecer firefox, por si fuera problema del navegador, pero sin éxito.

He contactado con la FNMT y me dirigen al manual.

¿Alguna idea?. Ya no sé que hacer.

PD: Uso Windows 10 y firefox (versión 81.0.1) de 64bits

I've noticed that on some websites like Google or Startpage, the Cyrillic font is bold. I've chosen my own font in the Firefox options, and it applies to every website I use, except Google and Startpage. A strange thing I also noticed is that the font goes back to normal and isn't bold when I go to Google Images, but on everything else from Google Search, it's bold. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Hi. I recently migrated to Firefox from Chrome and am getting acclimated. I did look through the various forums to find out how to activate credit card storage in FF 81 since it was not showing as an option on my initial download. I did successfully do that and entered a couple of cards. I was also successful in using the autoload feature on several occasions, but now all I get is a greyed out box showing both cards, and after attempting selection of one, no auto-population.

I am using the extra layer of log in with Windows password, and have made sure to enter that, but still no luck.

Any help out there? Thanks in advance.

System: Windows 10 32-bit laptop

Problem: non-responsive UI on one laptop only. This includes inability to configure local options. nothing works. Menus drop down, but no matter what is selected, the selection does not highlight, menu hides normally but no action is taken by the browser

If I manually type in the url it sits there. no spinning cursor, nothing.

Browser does NOT crash... It simply sits there doing nothing. All other browsers work fine.

What I have done Restart the laptop Double check Firewall permissions Ran a scan before and after installation (0 threats found) Logged in as administrator as well as user account Ran performance monitor nothing alarming noted Uninstall and Reinstall. (Problem still exists)

one of my Auth cookie is deleted after new browser's tab is opened, when "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" feature is enabled. This issue is present only with one particular site so it is most likely caused by some error on that site's end. But I would like to ask if there is a chance the "Delete cookies and ..." feature can affect/delete cookies when new tab is opened (without closing Firefox browser).

Hello, this appears to be a Firefox-exclusive problem as any other browser used will fix the issues listed below. However, when I am using Firefox, the following happens:

  • I am unable to like or retweet anything, and cannot follow any accounts. Attempting to do so resets them if I refresh or click off the tab.
  • Notifications do not go away even when I view them
  • Any tweets I have cannot be deleted
  • Any info on my profile cannot be changed
  • I cannot log out

I've tried multiple ways to fix this, including clearing my cache, running in Safe Mode, and removing my saved login. None of these have worked, unfortunately. I've reached out to Twitter Support, but soon realized I wouldn't hear back about specific problems at all. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Do hope someone can help?

Have tried all suggestions in Support area on topic: Lost/Recover Bookmarks. Also spoke to Windows Support and was told to call Mozilla Firefox Technical Support. I've been unable to find a number.

I had a Windows update around the same time as a Firefox update, May/June, only realised all saved bookmarks prior to June 2020 have disappeared. This has never happened before.

Urgently need to find out if there's a method of retrievel or have it confirmed that all of these very important bookmarks are permanently lost.

Ok, thanks, finally human help! I just had to change my pc and make a fresh install of the operating system. I used Linux mint on the last pc, and have Linux MX 18.3 on the new one, currently in use. I took the precaution of copying my Firefox and Thunderbird folders from the old hard drive, as I have several years worth of bookmarks organised in to folders, irreplaceable. This was the way I had preserved that information in previous changes, and swapping the old folders with those in a new install worked fine. But now i find the new version has changed and the files differ and cannot therefore be swapped. I don't really want to get into blaming or how disappointed and annoyed I am, as this won't be the fault of the person helping, and that is appreciated. But back ups need to be backwards compatible or there is no point? So, not sure which version I had, but will have been a couple of years old with updates. In my 'etc' folder there was a Firefox folder, and in that I have a folder marked pref. In that folder there is a file named apturl.js and I have saved those folders. With my new install there is not even a folder for 'firefox' in my 'etc' folder. How do I proceed to restore my bookmarks? If I need to install and older Firefox version I will do so. problem is, wiht me that entry doesnt even exist, and whatever I did on my one pc just screwed up the entire firefox, all logins gone. I dont want to ahve the same to happen on my laptop, and since googleseraching this forum didnt help me at all, I decided to ask myself (picture in attachment)
