I'd like to be able to open a link in private mode by holding down some modifier key, then clicking on the link. There are many times that I want to open a link in private mode, and a keypress + click would be the quickest way to do it given that one hand typically remains at the keyboard while I use the mouse/trackpad.

I've even added a toolbar button to open a new private browsing window, then dragged and dropped a link onto the button, but that gets a circle with slash icon and nothing more.

Others have asked this question, so, to be clear, none of the following address my question: copying the link then opening the private browsing window & pasting the link, using a customized shortcut/bookmark, opening Firefox in private mode via command line, right-clicking the link then selecting "Open link in new private window".

I had a few issues with Hotmail and Firefox in the past as described in other posts. Now it has stepped up a gear. I can use the internet for anything, but the moment I open my Hotmail account in Firefox my Lan card stops working. At first I had no idea it was Hotmail, I tried everything from switching cables to using wifi only. When it happened on wifi I realised every time I went into Hotmail on Firefox my network card stopped functioning and I had to restart the computer. The thing is, when I use Hotmail through Microsoft Edge nothing happens and all is well with the world!!! No network card shutdown. I could read between the lines but I'm no conspiracy theorist, however, I don't think the problem is with Firefox. Is there any solution? I don't use Edge and I don't want to start.

Hi Guys! Huge fan of Firefox since the early 2000s when I first learned about it. Way more secure, efficient, and lighter than any other browser (IE, Chrome, and now Edge). Firefox is my first download on every new device and my go to even on my iPad.

I've been getting this error message lately and I don't know what to make of it. My saved tabs are working normally (email, work, streaming entertainment). This automatically comes out on ever new start / re-start (Firefox is my default) on separate tab but I am not opening any new website. It's been 2-3 days. At first I didn't mind it but its consistently happening and not just a one time thing. I already cleared my cache data. I've also ran a scan and it's come up clean (I have a paid BitDefender subscription). It's also not the local ip of my machine.

So any help would be great as I really don't want to leak any personal data or have any viruses.

Currently unable to save, edit or add bookmarks.

I have updated Firefox, refreshed Firefox, gone through Troubleshoot mode, cleared the startup cache, and deleted the "xulstore.json" in my profile folder.

Pls help this is driving me nuts + making me want to switch browsers. Thanks : )

I want to delete firefox logins info and to make sure passwords and logins are never stored. I go to passwords, open up menu, and the "remove all passwords" choice is greyed out. How can I get that choice it be valid and to impliment that operation?? And to never have these stored??

the built in eyedropper tool is the simplest and easiest solution to grabbing screen colors without granting file permission to 3rd party solutions for full funcionality. I have power-toys but I hate to see this tool needlessly depreciated. My workflow needs to sample many colors at a time making the menu navigation needless. PLEASE let there be a way to add it to the toolbar, I hope there is. Thanks for your time

I've reported these issues before with no response. I've uninstalled reinstalled cleared cache and cookies searched another forums et cetera. Why must I manually update when it's set to auto update? When I set controls to ask where to download items it bypasses that and downloads it as a temp file where I have to cut it out of explorer and paste it where I would like to save it.

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

Firefox on my pc loads Ebay.com with Chinese characters, not English.

This ONLY happens on PC (mobile phone is fine, same firefox browser) only with firefox (Duck Duck Go on my pc works fine) and ONLY when opening Ebay.

Problem started 4/29. I have done: computer update/restart, firefox update/restart, clear cache in firefox

Every time I open Firefox another blank window opens behind the main Firefox pages . I see it when I close Firefox so have to close that too. There is no URL in the window just a blank page.

I am able to start FF with no problem. I open a few tabs and then without warning I can't access any of the sites without closing FF and restarting. Then the whole cycle is repeated. I am considering getting rid of FF this started just over a month ago.

I have played "Hero Wars,Dominion Era " for years on Fire Fox...They did an "update" last week(Thursday or friday 04/25-26?24)and I haven't been able to log onto the game itself since...I can still open the Hero wars home page,I can get into my "discord" chat etc etc etc,but I cannot get into my individual game.(If it helps,my Hero wars game ID # is 10920140)...I had to start playing the game itself on Google Chrome...I am hopeing you can help find a solution as everything I do is from Fire Fox & I really don't like chrome :(...PLEASE Help me resolve this if possible! ( Nexus suggested I use "Incognito" on FireFox ( I remeber that from a few yrs back,but honestly,i haven't used or seen "incognito" since :()

When logging into an account there are multiple usernames (incorrect or older.) I would like to remove or delete them, but keep the current passwords.

Is that possible without deleting the account?

So I'm having issues playing 4K videos fully on one YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ClearviewDriving

For some reason anything above 1080p gives me bad stuttering but on other channels videos don't stutter or freeze when playing 1440p or 4K quality.

Firefox is updated, I don't use Extensions other than Ad Blocker and I have that off on YouTube anyway. Seems strange that it'd only affect one specific channel.

I have a very good gaming PC too so the hardware isn't the issue.

I want to enable cookies for outlook and google, the rest I dont want.

I have attempted to look at the cookie's url for outlook and add that to the exception list, but outlook still harasses me with its annoying 2fa

How do I find the actual address to put in the exceptions list to stop this issue?

I have recently refreshed Firefox on my laptop running MacOS. Previously I had changed the full-screen-transition in about:config to be zero, but since refreshing changing the setting hasn't disabled the transition. My config is this currently: full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter 0 0 full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave 0 0 full-screen-api.transition.timeout 0 Despite everything being like before the transition persists... I'm currently on the latest version of Firefox (125.0.3)

I am autofilling an ELSA payment portal. Firefox autofills the payment information correctly. But the program will not recognize the autofilled information and doesn't let me process the payment. I then overwrite all my information and then it allows me to proceed with the payment. I have used the same procedure for years but as of this last week, the autofilled information is not recognized as I click the "Continue" button after the autofilled info is complete, and it won't work. The ELSA source (State of Wisconsin) person said it's a browser problem on my end. No. The online form autofills just fine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Jeff
