Hello. I work as Help desk support at a company (500+ AD users) and we all use Mozilla Browser (89.0.2 right now). in the past we used Windows XP and Mozilla latest ESR version, but we migrated recently to Windows 10 so we have to use the latest version of Firefox Browser. The problem that im facing now is that the maintenance service and Firefox update needs administrator privileges to update...and i just cant connect to all users and input the administrator password ... Is there a way to update automatically the Firefox Browser , without user intervention, something in regent or services or about:config ? (about config is already set to true for updates) All the users are in the domain and use AD files and folders on servers. i am aware of the risks of grading user the right to install...but we are well protected by the enterprise antivirus and multiple filters and firewalls...i just need a way to auto update the Firefox Browser to the latest version (90 i think)...and other versions to be released. Thank you.

Hi,

I'm trying to download xilinx vivado design suite and cannot. The download fails for both Chrome and Firefox and the web installer fails as well. I've tried using a single file download, removing myself from my family's account and also tried using a download manager. I also deleted

This issue has been happening for about half a year now- I've been able to finish downloads by simply retrying them, but I've never tried to download a file this large (the single file download is roughly 60 GB and I would rather solve this issue than retry the download for a 60gb file).

Any ideas or suggestions why my downloads keep failing? Is this maybe an issue with my ISP?

I have used Startpage with Firefox for quite awhile, with Windows 10. I recently deleted Startpage from my computer, and due to some computer issues, I uninstalled Firefox. When I tried to reinstall Firefox, directly thru Mozilla, it automatically opened up as StartPage. I can't access any Firefox tools to use to get rid of StartPage, as I want to switch to DuckDuck Go as the search engine. I have been trying this for 2 hours and can't find any way to download Firefox without it automatically opening as Start Page. HELP!

When I updated to 88.0.2 everything went away, bookmarks, addons etc. How do I get them back?

I reinstalled an old (64) version and everything came back. When I updated that 64 version to 72 everything went away again so I'm back on 64.

How do I update and keep my things?

This seems like some cruel joke

First: I delay the weekly useless downloads as long as possible. Everytime I have to download you change things for the worse, and I spend sometimes even hours, like now, trying to get my things back to what they were. I do a lot of research and do not have time to continually have to go back and undo all of the changes to my very carefull set up toolbars at the top. Can I opt out of this madness except for the most truly vital downloads? Secondly: After the latest download, I find a star symbol for bookmarks between my already too short search bar and my address bar. I use that space to lengthen my search bar a little as it does not allow a lot of length. I wish there was a separate place for a long search bar as it never is long enough to make my searches fully visible. I already had 4 symbols for bookmarks in my top toolbars. I don't need a damn star preventing space between the search and address bars. And when I need to clic on one of those bars, the star thing activates and I get bookmarks instead of the address bar, etc. What is the point of these useless changes??? I went to the menu: it had 'customize tool bar' as one of the first options. Now you have to hunt around for it. After wasting time, I found it: you have to go all the way to the bottom of the options where you'll find tools; then click on the forward arrow beside it and that takes you to the customize toolbar menu. But when that comes up the page changes and the star symbol disappears. I have tried to drag the star symbol to some other places but it won't budge. Does anyone know how I can get it off my toolbar? If not, is it ok for me to go back to my former version of ff, and how do I do that? Thank you. Sorry for the rant, but this happens everytime and they never used to have updates all the time like they do now. Everyone I know is aggravated about this..

Hi, I upgrade Firefox to 89.0.2 from the previous version. The installer "locked-up" during the installation process. I am using Win 7 on a Dell Inspiron 64-bit laptop (2017) with plenty of memory. Never had problems before. The installer locks and I have to stop it via Windows Task Manager (setup.exe *32). I have reloaded the "Firefox Setup 89.0.2.exe" file several times, reloaded the previous version... no avail. It locks up. I tried to start the Firefox even if not fully installed, using Firefox.exe It stated that it did not close properly and to "refresh", which I did, the program browser started after saying "success", but then stopped responding (screen locked-up) while showing me the usual Firefox screen (i.e. with all my previous opened tabs, bookmarks...) After having deleted the program manually from its location, reloading it several times - the same issues took place. Can someone help, me? Thank you, Ciao, L

I received an alert about a virus from Firefox. This would have been on Sunday 7/4. I figured it was some sort of a scam and don't remember what exactly I clicked, but it was something to the affect that I did not want it to do whatever it was that it wanted to remove the virus. I uninstalled FireFox and have tried reinstalling it numerous times and it will not launch/open at all, it will "bounce" once and sit in the dock. I have a MacBook running iOS Big Sur. Any help provided needs to be very specific in steps and instructions so I may understand what I need to do to rectify the situation. I need my FireFox back.
