Since a recent update (to 55? - I'm now on 56.0b5), pages from NaturalNews.com are whited out down the middle. The page appears normally very briefly when it first loads, then the white-out superimposes. The pages show fine on Chrome.

This article: http://www.naturalnews.com/2017-08-15-censorship-alert-mozilla-planning-kill-shot-for-entire-independent-media-by-blocking-all-non-approved-news-in-the-firefox-browser.html - which of course I had to read on Chrome - suggests Mozilla is intending to decide what I should not be able to read on my favorite browser.

I've been using Mozilla since near the beginning - years before Firefox - and I feel deeply betrayed that a browser I have used continuously for decades and often championed is apparently doing something so despicable. I hope there is a good explanation.

I'm on a desktop PC running 64-bit Windows 10 Pro with latest updates. Firefox is 64-bit too.

Two days ago Firefox upgraded itself to 57 (Quantum). It worked fine, although without some add-ons that I depend on, and with a difficult-to-read color scheme. Tonight Windows updated itself and Firefox stopped working. The window minimized itself through a series of sequentially smaller windows until it was apparently just a few pixels wide and high. When I try to re-open Firefox I can OCASIONALLY get it to open a very small window and tried restoring it to its default state, but that didn't improve anything.

I'm running a Dell XPS 8700.

If you have any suggestions I'd like to hear them. I've been using Firefox for more than 10 years and I really like it, but this "upgrade" has been a fiasco for me. I'm currently using Edge, and I've downloaded Chrome which right now looks like my new browser.

In Ff 61 and 61.0.1 I keep on getting the About:preferences option page with absolutely no text in it at all. The tickboxes and outlines of the dropdown menu boxes are all there, laid out in the normal pattern, but no text so I can't see what is what to change anything.

1 Sometimes it opens with all text displaying as it should, but it is opening with no text more often than not.

2 When it opens with no text, if I repeatedly close and re-open, eventually it will open with one section(General, or Home, or Security etc) with text, the rest still not, then eventually another section etc until all are displaying the text. But it is a tedious process each time to get the text displaying in the section I'm wanting to view/change. Trying to select missing text does not work - it appears to be missing, not just invisible.

Oh, I should mention tjhat i am not having any display problems, text or otherwise, anywhere else - just on About:preferences.

I just got assaulted by the new Quantum 57.0.4 it is BLINDING. I am shouting sorry as I can barely see. My eyes are smarting and tearing and I can hardly read the tabs, the contrast between the dark tab and the name of the tab in a sort of muted white or grey makes the print difficult to read -- and any red fades out (as is natural in the dark, it's physics). So the screen is extremely bright, like white light, and the tabs are extremely dark, the letters obscured, any red logos tend to be muted into the dark, and I have a sudden splitting headache. I was fine with the previous Firefox. I just checked Safari -- I'm fine. I think this is a health issue.

How do I toggle out of this mess?

Whenever I start Firefox after snapping it to the left side of my monitor, the window is offset slightly on the left and bottom. The same thing happens if I snap the window to the right edge of my monitor - Firefox starts back up slightly moved from the bottom and right then.

Not a big issue but bothering me nonetheless.

Version 61.0.1 being used (64-bit). Win 7. Menu being cut in half. Can be reset by toggling menu on and off, but it comes back. Saw the reference to similar problem in 2017 question that was attributed to "Tab Groups" extension, but I do not have that ext. The only remotely related extension I have is Vertical Tabs. And although I love that extension, I actually had it disabled because I have been using Web Developer docked to the side for the last few days and the problem is still happening. So definitely not it.

Other than the super-duper Vertical Tabs, I have: Decentraleyes, Disconnect, Flag Fox, Font Finder, Google Search Link Fix, Nimbus, NoScript, Turn-off-the-lights, and U-Block Origin. Pretty basic add-ons. Theme is default, and no other ones loaded. (I'm very boring). Open264 and Widevine plugins only. Images attached.

As waiting for it to revert can take hours, it could take well over a week to test all of my extensions. So I figured I would check to see if anyone else had similar problems and figured something out.

It's not a huge deal. Like I said, you can get it back simply by turning the menu off and on. But it does revert and it gets annoying as I do use the menu quite a bit, and I usually end up clicking on the tab instead of the menu item. So I always have to get it to its normal size.

Anyone else having this problem?

Narrow your browser window until you see the problem in Firefox.

I have created many html files with the firefox function "save as Web Page, HTML only". 1. When I call up these files, firefox makes the PATH the tab title, but I would like to have the file name as tab title by default. 2. Same if I bookmark these files that the file name is displayed as tab title by default. I use tab utilities and am well aware of rename tab - I would like to have the file name as tab title by default - renaming thousands of html files is takes a lot of time. Thanks for your help!

I've encountered a strange glitch with YouTube specifically, only in Firefox. Namely, numerous pieces of the interface - the icons on buttons (like the Like/Dislike buttons) and things, menu buttons, the logo in the upper left - are simply invisible. It's most noticeable along the top. I've attached a screenshot. You can see the logo is absent, there's no button for the upper left dropdown (even when I'm logged in), and there's even no magnifying glass in the search bar button. These are only missing in Firefox. Strangest of all, these DO appear when I access the site via a proxy. I've tried mucking with my hosts file and flushing my DNS, as well as running Firefox in safe mode and resetting it, to no avail. It's possible I'm overlooking something, but I haven't yet noticed similar problems on any other sites.
