Hello Techies...! Newly (sunday) installed with a zero errors Lubuntu 16.04.2 LTS Live session. It often crashes. First I guessed it crashed starting a video, e.g. in YouTube, but tonight it crashed while reading a Facebook profile. I always use Private Windows, I installed HTTPS Everywhere and the only other extension installed is Ubuntu Modifications, as you are aware. Firefox health report is enabled and backlogged crash report are allowed to be sent so I guess you can read this data, too. Do yoh need to know more to help me? Many thanks, Alberto

Firefox is constantly crashing when opening certain links or webpages. Example include opening the malwarebytes link from the article as well as trying to login to Adobe's website. Graphics drivers are up to date, Win10 is up to date, Firefox is up to date. Safe mode still causes crashes, links are working on another pc but I just did a clean install so I'm not sure what the cause is.

Hi Mozilla,

I am experiencing repeated crashes when opening Firefox (both standard and developer versions). The crash happens within 30 seconds of opening Firefox. The behavior just before the crash involves a slight hang, and then a crash.

I am able to debug with Visual Studio, and can see the following error message: Unhandled exception at 0x00007FF836A36FB1 (xul.dll) in firefox.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000029F7A02DFDC.

I have tried many, many avenues, including: - Freshly reinstalling Windows 10 Enterprise - Running Firefox as Admin - Starting Firefox in Safe Mode - Refreshing Firefox - Reinstalling Firefox - Disabling/Enabling hw acceleration - Running a malware scan - Installing all necessary Windows updates

If I have some time, I will likely get the latest source and run it locally in debug. However, I am a C# dev, and not a C++ dev, so it may not be all that helpful.

Firefox Details: v62.0

PC Details: i7-7700K GTX 1080 16GB DDR4 @ 3200 Samsung Evo 960 EVO

The Firefox AppData folder is empty, and I am unable to find a proper crash report for you, but I do have a disassembly from Visual Studio. It seems to be crashing in _sk_gather_bgra_hsw().

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please let me know if you need any further info.

Cheers, Keagan

Including in safe mode. Have tried uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller, deleting Mozilla folders in \AppData\Local, \AppData\LocalLow, and \AppData\Roaming, then re-installing; this should be a clean install.

Can anyone interpret the error code? Thanks in advance.

In the last few days Firefox keeps crashing on starup. Firefox will not open. Error message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." Yesterday got it to open once after computer restart. Next attempts failed with same error message. Today tried un-install and re-install Firefox. Still will not open. Please help.

I don't want to lose my cookies for weather.com, because I want to be able to get my local forecast every time I sign in without the extra steps. Firefox didn't have this problem on my old XP computer, which also ran version 40.0.3. On this computer, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, and every time I go to weather.com, either by bookmark or by manually typing it in the address bar, the entire browser crashes to the desktop. It is repeatable, and I've repeated it about 10 times now. So, when is version 41.0.0 coming out to fix this strange crash issue?

I tried renaming the Mozilla Firefox to OldFirefox, and clean install, still won't work.

When trying to open in safe mode, window open but then says : Not responding, and it jam like this.

I even tried to report my 5 latest bp- and it still wasn't conclusive.

Any answer somebody?

BTW my computer is a MacBook Pro with Windows 7 32 bits Legit Boot Camp, si maybe it does make a difference.

I recently was given a message by FF Nightly a few days ago, saying that there were 3 crashes that had not been submitted. I immediately clicked on the option to submit them. I then went into about:crashes and lo and behold, saw those three crashes at the top. The fact is, I had no idea that FF had crashed those times. I thought every time FF crashed, I got the FF crash reporter to pop up and ask if I wanted to submit a crash. Of course I do submit the report; its just that I don't recall seeing the FF crash reporter appear and ask if I wanted to submit the reports. I could understand my missing one of these instances b/c I was too busy/distracted, but not 3.

Does FF open up the crash reporter automatically every time FF crashes? Is there an about:config setting where I can get it to do this? I really would like to send MoCo my browser feedback (the only reason why I'm on Nightly), but I just don't check about:crashes all that often, so I wouldn't know if there is a report to send.

I can't re-install Firefox after multiple tries! I've used Firefox for many years. I updated my iMac to the newest OS (version 10.13.6) November 8. Soon after that update, when I opened Firefox a box popped up saying something like "firefox is slow to open, please refresh (or update?) to fix this problem". When I did that, Firefox crashed and Mozilla Crash Reporter opened. I clicked quit Firefox several times, the I clicked the box to tell Mozilla, I did this alot, no luck. Firefox won't open. So I uninstalled it according to your instructions on support. I tried to reinstall, still only getting the Crash Reporter. Have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions, but no luck. Can never get the app to open. I can get the "safe mode" box, but it won't open with the safe mode button or the refresh. Have run disc repair on my mac. Have fun the Malware app you suggested. Still no luck. I can't find a Firefox folder in my library. In application support did find something called "CrashReporter" nothing in there for Firefox. There is a folder in there called Mozilla, but it has folders in it titled "extensions". Not sure what to do or make of that. I tried to attach a screen shot of the details from one of my crash reports. No luck. I'll copy to the end of this note. Sorry it's so long. Would really like to work with Firefox again. ( Uy. Tu pestaña ha fallado. ¡Podemos ayudarte!

Selecciona Restaurar esta pestaña para recargar la página. )

En about:crashes no me aparece ningún error.

Al reiniciar en modo seguro funciona muy bien, nada de errores. al volver a modo normal desactivo las 4 extensiones que uso, y desactivo acelarcion por hardware pero el problema siempre sigue.
