Whenever I download a PDF file from any site, it downloads without a filename and only as "pdf". I have to rename the file to include "somefilename." in front of the "pdf" name already present in order to open it.

I attempted a download in Troubleshoot Mode and the issue still persisted. Downloads work fine in Chromium-based browsers so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the site (as a whole at least).

I am able to start the Firefox Browser. It pops up and asks for my Primary Password. I type it in and click go, and it seems to take the Password and continue. But after that it is no longer taking input from the MacPro Built in Keyboard. The track pad navigation works fine, but I am unable to click on any box or input any text?? I use Firefox on my other Macs and Phone, but it will not work on this computer. BTW, I recently added Firefox to this computer and it seemed to work find the first couple of times.

Hello, I am using Firefox 101.0.1 (64-bit) on windows 11 Pro

I am unable to search through tags in firefox address bar as explained here in this documentation https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/address-bar-autocomplete-firefox

with that said, the problem is only with "+ tagname" not working, as I am able to filter through bookmarks using "* bookmark" and history and tabs. However, for tag search with "+", firefox doesn't work.

Kindly help,

Here is some additional information I collected based on other similar issues that might help.

Not, sure if the search byTag function is removed from Firefox or not ??

Hello, I have a pdf with two either/or Radio Buttons that will deselect one button when the other is checked. It works properly when the pdf is loaded in Firefox when you click on both buttons to test them out. However, when you go to print the pdf after having checked both they will both be checked on the printed version (be it a new pdf export or physical print). This has only started happening within the past week or two. And this does not happen in Chrome or Edge. Please help. Thank you.

Hi,

I am a keen user of Firefox Sync (across multiple devices) and also use a primary password to keep the passwords store secure.

I understand that Firefox Sync needs to get its password somewhere so that it can connect when Firefox starts. I would prefer that Firefox Sync either does not autoconnect, or autoconnects with a delay.

Even better, I would prefer if Firefox Sync did not need the password store to connect (it could use a session key that is periodically updated), and if the primary password was only requested the first time entering an actual password was needed.

In an old question, 2 options are mentionned to prevent autoconnect and to set the autoconnect delay. They do not work in Firefox 101 Have they disappeared?

    1. Problem

Firefox keeps on randomly not loading web pages. Upon restarting the browser I am prompted to either [Exit] or [Create new profile]

This has only started happing in the last 2 weeks or so.

It is VERY annoying that I have to keep setting up Firefox EVERY time which involves:

  • Logging in with Firefox Sync
  • Reauthenticating with ALL the websites / apps I use in Firefox

This is a bad user experience

I have tried the following.

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox (by scoop)
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox (by the Firefox downloader)
  • Resetting local history / data / cache
  • Disabling IPV6 setting
  • Disabling Prefetch
  • Troubleshoot mode -> Reset data & Refresh Firefox

None of these have resolved the issue and the unresponsive sites and Profile reset requirement keep on randomly occurring

Hi, As it is, Firefox remember the primary password as long as the software is open and the computer not shut down. This is a very serious security risk! Firefox should forget the primary password after a certain period of time, even when running continuously. At least Firefox should forget the password after the session is suspended or locked. Could you please add this feature in your next release. Sincerely, -- Pierre

Attached is a screen shot showing MS Edge (Bottom left), Chrome (Middle), and Firefox (Top RIght) As one will notice, the lower two has symbol on left side where as Firefox does not. It would be nice to have a symbol/Logo on the left site to make it easier to identify in a screen full of different browsers. It should be done for brand recognition. I use different browsers depending on what I need to do.

Hi Support team,

I would like to know what changes have been made after version 94 in firefox which changed the visibility logic. The websites work in background tab without the focus in version 94 where as the latest version requires the tab to be in focus or active. Could you please let me know if there are any config changes made in firefox by default for inactive tabs or tabs which are not focused. If so, could you please let me know what changes are required to get the same behavior for inactive tabs as version 94.

Thank you

Hello, I have an extensive collection of bookmarks in bookmark folders. A few are a more important than others.

To me, the easy solution would be when I could colour a few folders - say blue or red.

I searched the web a bit and this is a quite hotly discussed topic. If solutions are offered, it's adding code etc. That's not for me and the results are dubious anyway.

Firefox has been around for a very long time. There are updates quite frequently. None ever feature colouring bookmark folders. Is that really so difficult? I realize this is not of vast importance, but it would be helpful to have a feature like that.

Is there a particular reason why this seems to be so difficult?

Hoping for a helpful answer.

Hi all,

Despite all my searching, I have not been able to find a solution to this issue that works for me. When I start watching a youtube video, it plays fine, zero interruptions. However the moment I touch the seek bar, pause the video for a moment, anything that interrupts the playback, I cannot watch more than 2 seconds of video before it will pause as if buffering for a few seconds, play again for a few seconds, pause again etc etc. over and over and over, making it impossible to watch any video at that point. Refreshing the page will fix it, but if I have to use the seek bar to get back to where I was, then the exact same issue will re-occur.

There is zero issue with playback on other browsers, such as chrome or edge.

I have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, various codecs, user agents, refreshed firefox, started it in troubleshooting mode etc, nothing has helped.
