Any site I go to such as my utility companies that have a link for me to open and view my bill while logged into my online account are prevented from opening by Firefox. Their help articles define the pop-up window as a window that opens automatically. That is not what I'm talking about. I am selecting the link. I am giving the site permission to open the window. It is not automatic. Google Chrome, Microsoft edge, no other browser has this problem. please help.

For some reason, when I try to autofill with stored credit card information, Firefox (99.0.1) fills the form with credit card number and expiration date when I mouse over a credit card choice, and then when I actually make the choice, the entry gets erased.

I have checked, per an earlier (now archived) question, and there is no "autocomplete off" (or any mention of "autocomplete") in the web page in question.

With the help of community archives I got Form Autofill working again, but it only partially fills out the forms. It always leaves out the City, State and Zip code, and although they do not show up in Saved Addresses they do appear in the Edit dialog boxes and if I edit the City and save, it will then pop up in Saved Addresses but even after that it still will not fill in that field. Another strange thing is that when I go back to Settings it will have disappeared from SA leaving only the Name and Address lines as it was before the editing. Besides that and the jumping down 3 pages while scrolling down on long pages like Reddit, Firefox is perfect. It also seems that I may be the only one experiencing this judging by my many fruitless Startpage searches. Also neither of these issues are new to version 100 running on W10e64. Has anyone seen anything like this? Thanks in advance for contributions.

I recently installed Firefox 100 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (a major leap from previously installed Firefox 56).

No major squawks initially, everything was more or less as expected, but then I started to notice anomalies in the designation of visited vs. unvisited links, and possibly with clearing of history in general (see my previous question at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1376052, still unresolved).

I'm now convinced something is definitely wrong with history clearing and/or session restores. One glaring example: Firefox 100 is overriding my choice to uncheck the "Open previous windows and tabs" box in Settings/General. The box will reset to checked after I close/relaunch Firefox, and indeed I've seen it become reset to checked in the same session, without even closing the program!

Moreover, after clearing the history prior to exiting Firefox (Shift-Ctrl-Delete, all history and data boxes checked) and then restarting Firefox, the most recently visited website will often (but not always) be restored. Remarkably, when this happens and I go to Menu/History, it shows (or claims) that history is empty!

I have tried opening About:config and setting browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to false, it has no effect.

This is very peculiar and disturbing, thanks for any feedback/suggestions.

"Network Protocol Error" "Connection Failure" "You are not securely connect to this site."

It has almost become impossible to continue using this browser. Sadly, I had it as my primary browser for a long time and now I have to switch out everything and move to Chrome or something else.

Thank you for being so cautious and ramping your security features, but not to the extent that it just becomes unusable.

Do something!

I am on Linux Mint, Firefox 100.0 and I am trying to access a website, https://www.citapreviadnie.es:38188 (requires personal DNIe certificate). However, I keep getting SSL_ERROR_UNKNOWN_CA_ALERT. If I view the certificate of the website,

1. Firefox doesn't tell me which part of the chain is invalid or not trusted (or I don't see it) 2. When I try to download and import each of the CA certificates, I get an alert saying "This certificate is already installed as a certificate authority." 3. If I try to import the whole chain, I get another alert telling me "This is not a certificate authority certificate, so it can’t be imported into the certificate authority list." 4. If I try to add a permanent exception to the site, I see "This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information", but if I click "view certificate" I'm back to step 1, and adding the exception does not have any effect.

What am I supposed to do now?

Hello,

When accessing my Old Navy account they require a 2 step process for Logging In. Once I click on the login button it takes me to a page where it asks for my email. Here's where I hit the issue: FireFox Password Manager does not fill this in for me; not even the auto-fill works here. After I enter my email it then takes me to a page where my password is filled in (yay!). I'm glad that it at least fills in the password but I'd like to not have to fill in my email on the previous page.

I tried to create a new entry in Password Manager but it won't take the entire url; it shortens it. This url changes each time I go thru the process which complicates everything. I was hoping to take one of those urls (https://secure-oldnavy.gap.com/my-account/sign-in?flowId=wJb1e) but it shortened it to just (https://secure-oldnavy.gap.com). I even tried creating a new entry without the last few characters (https://secure-oldnavy.gap.com/my-account/sign-in?flowId=) but again it shortened it.

Is there a way to get FF Password Manager to provide auto-fill of my email address?

Thanks, Andre'a

I have spent hours trying to unblock a site i have previously used before your upgrade. every time its a nightmare. Why can't your program remember exceptions. I tried all the exception options. I tried adding the certificate exception and was told it was valid and did not need an exception. Why does everyone feel the need to make our lives harder with the illusion you are protecting us. I went to sign in to a website today and could not - nothing pertinent would load. I disabled ad blocking and tracking blocking extentions one by one in an attempt to figure out which of them might be the problem. When that didn't work, I disabled all of them together - still the page would not load. I then went to MS Edge, and the page loaded fine - I have only one ad-blocker extension on MS Edge. That left me to believe that the issue may have been that I am blocking ALL 3rd party cookies in FF. I decided that WAS the problem after returning to FF and removing the checkmarks from Tracking Content, Cryptominers and Fingerprinters.

I called the website to talk to technical support. I wanted to find out what 3rd parties were involved so I could decide if I wanted to turn off the blocking of those cookies while using that website.

I was told the company and it's website are not affiliated with any 3rd parties, and so their website does not attempt to set any 3rd party cookies, the user does not need to allow/accept 3rd party cookies while on their site, and therefore, my blocking of 3rd party cookies would have no affect on whether or not I can access their website. INSTEAD... I was told that the 3rd party cookies are in my browser, a part of my browser, so that my browser, and in this case, specifically Mozilla, can keep track of my movements/activities and taylor advertising and other such crap to me.

Now...I did not think my browser actually cared where online I go unless it's one of those websites that FF will block my progress to, advise of an issue and ask if I really wanna keep on going. I thought a browser was simply the vehicle, like a car, that gets you to the store, and it's the store that has the salepeople trying to get you to buy stuff. If Mozilla is setting [tracking and 3rd party] cookies for Mozilla's benefit, why would users be given the tools to block cookies and trackers and other such invasions? Or are these tools just there to make the user feel like they have control, and in reality those tools/settings mean absolutely nothing?

Am I wrong? Or did the individual I spoke with just not know what the bloody hell they were talking about?? 'Cause if they are right...then I'm VERY disappointed in Mozilla and FF. I've been using FF for MANY years because I had more control than what users of Microsoft browsers (and a few others) have.

WHO is setting the cookies? _____________________________________________ Win10 Home, Vs 21H2 (OS Build 19044, 1645) Mozilla Firefox, 100.0 (64-bit)

I got a new phone and went to reset my 2FA, scan a new QR, and go about my day.

I successfully removed the old 2FA setup from Authy on my older phone, and from my Mozilla account. I can access my user account settings for my Mozilla account and select to add a new 2FA method.

I land on the page which displays a QR code, which I can scan with Authy, and which immediately shows my account information as confirmation.

However, once I try to enter the first numerical code displayed -- Mozilla's text field declines on "incorrect code". I have done this over several times, tried on both phones, and waited for further numerical codes to be generated from the app. No success.

Right now I am on default email based 2FA and cannot for the life of me get the QR or manual onboarding process to accept a code from my app. I have to return my old phone soon so I was hoping to get some advice and figure this out just in case the issue was due to something there.
