Newer Firefox ver's, 80.0.1 for example, don't seem to allow users to stop pestering sw update popups from being displayed throughout a single Firefox session. No means no, and not keep asking anyway. Has something been missed?

Chinese Characters displays strange (some characters are extremely large) on Manjaro, and it will make Edge and Firefox on Windows display strange too.

Suddenly, when I access Yahoo Mail through Firefox, I no longer have any contacts when I click on the Contacts button (shows "No Contacts"). This issue just started and is unique to Firefox because if I access Yahoo Mail through Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browsers, all of my contacts are there. I have tried clearing the cache and clearing cookies to no avail. All other email functions still work properly in Firefox. Any suggestions?

each time we try opening mozilla firefox an error message splashes stating profile may be missing or inaccessible.solutions already tried 1)deleted profile.ini file 2)created new profile through firefox.exe -p.. 3)tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling upgraded version e.g ver 56,65,80 after installation of firefox 80 new error msg comes stating an instance of mozilla firefox is already running it needs to be closed first. 4)even tried to use portable mozilla version 51 . any other solution or advice ?

Firefox 80.0 (64-bit), Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Insider build Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.487) This just started in the last 30 days or so. When run a speedtest in FF, the download speed is significantly lower that in a different browser, and more importantly, the upload test fails, and my wireless network disconnects. I have checked my network logs and I see no blocking taking place. I disabled DoH in FF settings and experienced the same results. Please observe screenshots, below. Note, I first noticed this in Version 79, but it's possible that it began earlier. I don't run speed tests frequently. Site = https://www.speedtest.net/ Connections = Multi Photos 1 & 2 are from within Firefox. Photo # 3 shows the identical test run on the same PC from Vivaldi Browser. I have tested after disabling extensions, and even from a private window, all with the same resuls. Please advise. Thank you! Pete M.

I use Send Tab to Device all the time. To my phone, my tablet, my work & home laptops. Except recently, the tab I send won't show up on my phone. Notifications are enabled. I can send from my phone to my work laptop. I can send from my work to home laptop. But to the phone, it says sent, and nothing ever arrives. Everything is synced. What else can I do?

As there is no way to customize FF shortcuts, How to Disable them all together? In any way: editing settings, browser internal files, whatever. No, it's not about addon shortcuts. Yes, i already checked smt like a hundred topics/adviced addons web-search could provide, and none works.

Since the latest versions of Firefox--say, the last month or so--Firefox continues to override and change my preferred file association for pdf files. I have gone in through the Windows 10 Start/Settings/Apps to change the file association for pdf files to my Adobe Acrobat Pro, but within a few hours Firefox automatically changes it back, system-wide, to Firefox. This is quite frustrating, to say the least. I have tried the Options within Firefox, and choose (as I do for most files) to "Ask Me First" upon opening, but don't find any further file association info there. Nevertheless, even when viewing my files within Windows Explorer (File Explorer), I cannot keep my chosen files association of Adobe Acrobat Pro, as it continually reverts to Firefox.

How can I disable this behavior of Firefox 80.0.1 that is overriding my preference? Or is it a bug that can be fixed?

I run a blog on WordPress and while editing a blog post I tried to "justify" the paragraph but it did not work. I previously used chrome in which it worked, but in Firefox it seems that its is not working.

I use the Bookmarks Bar extensively. But all the folders are the same color. I would find it much easier to find things quickly if I could change individual folder colors.

Any way to do this?

I'm already using Jscher's excellent UserChrome script to make the folders an attractive yellow, instead of gray. But can this be done for individual foders?

I have a laser printer set as default on a Windows 10 laptop. In Mozilla, when I select print, that laser printer has the green default check, but Mozilla defaults to Microsoft Print to PDF instead. How can I get Mozilla to accept the default printer without deleting Print to PDF which I do sometimes use but don't want as default? Image attached--it auto-checks PDF but you can see the laser listed above it is the default.

I've been an avid user of Firefox Monitor for the past few months, but recently over the last few days when I go to https://monitor.firefox.com/user/dashboard and log in, I've been struggling to find the button that allows me to add new email addresses. I've searched the support article for Monitor for this information, but to no avail: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-monitor. So I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction?

Issue #1 I have the automatic updates turned off, but Firefox occasionally updates anyway. How can I prevent this from happening?

Issue#2 This is somewhat related to issue #1. I turned off the automatic updates specifically because I did not want Quantum, but Firefox updated automatically, despite the automatic updates being turned off.. I have an older system, and it cannot handle running five processes for Firefox at one time. As a result, my system becomes increasingly slower as time goes by. As running multiple serves absolutely no discernible purpose, is there any way to prevent Firefox from running multiple processes?

Issue #3 Firefox recently updated automatically (again) without my permission, and since the most recent update, the pop up blocker is not working properly, specifically with Yahoo. It is blocking images, and windows that I bring up, but is not blocking what it is supposed to block, and will not let me add an exception for Yahoo. How can I fix this?

I am a Computer Science major, and have been using Firefox since it came out, but I am going to make a change if I can't fix these issues. Firefox is becoming more of a hassle than it is worth.

Windows 10 gesture two finger swipe left and two finger swipe right doesn't work in Firefox. Two finger swipe left allows user to go history backward and two finger swipe right allows user to go history forward. These gestures work in Firefox if the user hold Alt key and preform the gestures. But most of the users don't like to hold Alt key and preform the gestures. Please fix that issue.

Dear community, for some days my Firefox 80 on Windows 10 has shown the message "your system administrator has deactivated updates", when I look under "Help" -> "about Firefox". This is strange, because the admin is me myself, and I didn´t change anything in Firefox or in the Win 10 registry. Has anyone of you had this experience, and how can I possibly fix it? If it makes any difference I am using yahoo mail. When I try to open attachments in my emails, a window pops up asking me - what should Firefox do with this file?. I click on the - do this automatically for all files of this type - and then click on the open with button. The file opens. The next time I try to open an attachment of a similar type the window pops up again instead of the attachment automatically opening. Why is this happening and what do I do to correct it?

i have been having an issue with my browser where when ever i close it logs me out of all the websites i have been logged in to. i have refreshed it and i have reinstalled it and i still have the same problem and its making it really hard to work. any input is really appreciated.

I have Set Foxit reader as my default app in the applications section of Firefox options. I have also set "allow" in the privacy and security section of options. When I click on a video file I received via email, a window pops up asking me "how do I want to handle this". It shows that Foxit reader is a default app and I, therefore, click on the box that says "always open files using this app". The next time I click on a different video file, doesn't automatically open. Instead, the how do you want to handle this window pops up again. Can somebody tell me how to correct this problem?
