I am IT techie, and I need FF help on this. I searched the entire sync issue forum, but of no avail.

I had a Windows 10 update issue so I decided to format my PC. My sync was enabled and all data was synced normally. I went ahead and formatted it, and installed a new copy of Win 10, and all softwares, including FF. Now after syncing for over an hour, I cannot find anything. No history, no bookmarks, no logins, nothing.

This is definitely something to do with your update. I cannot figure anything else out. How can I get my old data back? This is absolutely ridiculous and frustrating.

I have 2 other laptops with FF synced, but they aren't booting up either because of hardware failures. I cannot risk turning them back on, and loosing my FF data from those laptops.

Please advise, how to access my cloud data on FF, or should I switch over to Google chrome because of your incompetency?

Yahoo.com is my home page. Most times (but not always) I cannot access it unless I go into privacy and security and delete the yahoo cookies. (Just sits at new page with 3 dots moving.) I mean won't open yahoo when firefox starts, if I use the home button, or type yahoo.com in address bar. Am on Windows 10 using Firefox 83.0 64-bit. I don't want to delete all my cookies on exit, so am at a loss.

Since a recent Firefox update, Firefox has alpha-sorted my bookmarks automatically and I cannot turn this new feature off - this is annoying!

I want to custom organise the order of my bookmarks - NOT by alpha-sorting.

The 'sort by name' menu option does not have a counter option - ie 'DO NOT sort bookmarks'

So how do I turn off book mark sorting ???

I am suddenly unable to log in to any websites requiring passwords etc. When I try and enter user names/email addresses/passwords or pin numbers in the required boxes typing produces no response in the boxes. This happens over multiple websites.

I have tried the Firefox help advice re cookies, profile files etc. and also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Have also run full Norton security scans and power eraser with no issues detected. None of these have helped and the issue continues.

Would be grateful to know if anyone else has had similar issues and/or for any other suggestions to fix this.

I've recently noticed an issue with Firefox not loading some content for me. On one page it failed to load embedded videos, and when I contacted the site to alert them to the problem they troubleshooted and the issue seemed to be with my browser. A second time, when trying to use Instagram scheduler Planoly, I discovered that none of the images of my feed would display in the program, and again when I contacted support they could find no issue at their end.

I have followed advice and: - cleared my cache and cookies - disabled extensions one by one - scanned my machine for malware.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Even though I'm in the UK I was previously able to use the form auto fill function by changing the extensions.formautofill.available preference from "detect" to "on" however I updated to Firefox 83.0 and it reverted to "detect" and I am now unable to save any changes to it becasue it has always reverted to "detect" when I restart Firefox.

Form auto fill is such a simple and useful function that really needs to be available, Chrome has had it working for years.

I have noticed that the favicons on a website are not being created when I bookmark a new site or when I use a previous bookmark, they are not updating.

They are showing as a world globe when first created.

They used to always work so I can only assume that one of the Firefox updates has stopped this working so can someone provide any information to help get this fixed?

Thanks.

Hi there, first time posting. I have Firefox 82.0.3 64-bit and I am on Windows 10. The only add-ons I have are Ublock Origin and Adblocker.

This morning I was having some internet trouble and it turns out my ISP needs to send someone out to my house to fix it. While my internet was going in and out, Firefox seemed very sensitive to this because it would continue to crash.

I was wondering if your internet connection going in and out can cause Firefox to crash (I need to the end the process because it is unresponsive type of crashing). I don't usually have any problems with Firefox and just wanted to ask.

Thanks.

I can still access and play YouTube videos but I can't sign in - which I need to do to see the videos I've subscribed to and notifications of when new videos are released. When I attempt to sign in, a screen comes up with what looks like stacked TV screens (see attached image) and "Oops! Something went wrong." That's all I get. I've checked to see if it's an issue with my virus software (Quick Heal) and they advise me it's a browser issue. I've made sure I have the latest version of the browser and I've cleared all history and cookies. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you. (Please use plain English, I don't speak Computer!)

I can't seem to connect to Google.com anymore. I get

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.google.com because this website requires a secure connection.

What can you do about it?

www.google.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

as the error. I've tried various things like deleting certificates, refreshing firefox, and even uninstalling firefox. Nothing works and I don't want to go back to Edge. Google.com works fine on edge, and I have a document saved as a start up tab that works fine on firefox. Drive also doesnt work, but accounts.google.com works so I can sign in.

I have been using the website URL: https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ for several years.

I just got a new computer and downloaded Firefox to use as my preferred browser, but when I attempt to open the above website, I get the message Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

I cannot find any workaround which will let me access this site. I am NOT concerned about the site security as it is a UK GOV website. Microsoft Edge will open the website without any issue, why won't Firefox?

How do I get routine access to it through Firefox?
