Hello, during my holidays, I upgraded to MacOS Big Sur, and now that I returned to work, our dashboards that use Mapbox for map visualisations cause the Firefox browser to crash. I can't think of any other changes except my MacOS update. Things work in Safari browser but Chrome & Edge also fail to render the map but they don't crash like Firefox does (they have a weird behaviour were the page kind of refreshes with a sudden opening and closing of new tab in a blink of an eye).

I have re-installed the Firefox. The version is up-to-date (91.0.1). My colleagues on Big Sur & same Firefox version cannot reproduce this issue, so the page with map works as it should :( Example of crash reports:

Hello,

My Firefox routinely shuts down while I'm using my 2018 Macbook Pro, and the problem began when I updated my IOS to Big Sur This is a systemic problem with non-native apps ever since installing Big Sur. Apple won't address the problem unless I confirm that my non-native apps are compatible with Big Sur. Can you please confirm the most updated version of the Firefox Browser is compatible with Apple's Big Sur IOS? Can you also let me know if other users have experienced problems and if there is any fix?

I have had occasional panics and restarts since I updated to Big Sur. I have logged a bugwith Apple on this issue, and others are reporting the same issue. However, my last three are all associated with Firefox. Last night, Big Sur crashed when I quit Firefox. I restarted MacOS and put it to sleep. This morning, it crashed twice in a row when I tried to launch Firefox. Since this could be caused by Firefox, I'd like to see a bug logged with Mozilla. I would also like to see Apple and Mozilla to work together to resolve this issue. Since most of my panics and restarts involve either Firefox, Sleep, or both, I think that is the area to focus on. I did have at least one panic/restart while the MacBook Pro was sleeping and Firefox was not running. I'm running the latest version of Firefox for Mac and the only version of Big Sur currently released. If I am able to launch Firefox without a system panic, I'll add the version I am currently running.

Has anyone else reported severe battery draining on a new M1 chipped MacBook Pro? I noticed that the battery was draining as quickly or quicker compared with the one in my old 2014 15" MacBook Pro. I checked Activity Monitor and saw that the CPU utilization for the Firefox WebExtensions process was consistently north of 99%, even while I was doing nothing.

I've switched to using Safari and I'm now getting the incredible battery life I expected having read all of the reviews for the new M1 laptop.

I've been using Safari (on battery, with the screen at full brightness) for over an hour now and it hasn't moved from 100% yet.

This morning it went from fully charged to below 20% in less than five hours with brightness at 50% or less for half of that time. I'm sure I can't be the only new MacBook user who has noticed this?

Please fix the problem Mozilla as I'd much prefer to use Firefox vs Safari but not if it kills battery time like this.
