I have a PC - a Macbook Air and an ipad. I am looking for direction on how or if it is possible to have all three set up with common products to maximise my security and invisibility and limit tracking by programs, websites, (preferably product that "syncs) programs for browsing, email I am NOT on social media but I am really tired of getting profiled when I click on or search a product or service or a health article in my browser and suddenly I magically start getting emails related to those searches. The online advice that I have searched is anything but consistent in its response. Obviously I believe my Browser should be Firefox, but after that things get really muddy. I even asked two different IT guys at my head office and did not get

Chrome has stopped working. I cannot tell if it is Chrome, Ubuntu MATE 22.04, or a virus. I want to switch to Firefox, but cannot import my Chrome bookmarks. I tried using Chrome to export my bookmarks and then using Firefox to import them. Did not work. I tried using Firefox to import from other browsers. It could not find Chrome.

Hello, I have used Firefox since it's inception and love it! However, with version 114 I have noticed two issues with Facebook. 1.) When trying to open messages in Facebook I get "Couldn't load chats" (see attached screen shot) 2.) When trying to do a "Search Facebook" on any of my friends in Facebook I get "This page isn't available right now" but if I search on some place I haven't been before like a company, new outlet etc etc it brings up their info just fine. These two issues DO NOT happen with using Safari or Chrome. Hope someone can help as I want to keep using Firefox and Facebook. Thank you, Alan

After missing a few updates, I just updated from 1.06x to 114.0.2.

When Firefox relaunched, tabs no longer have a close button. There's always been an X on the right side of the tabs.

I've checked in about:config for anything "close button"-related, but things look OK to me:

browser.tabs.closeButtons = true extensions.tabmix.tabs.closeButtons.enable = true

I don't have any other tab-related extensions installed, and other than updating to 114, nothing changed.

Any suggestions, or other settings I should check? Did something change in the last few updates that affects tab buttons?

How do I uninstall Firefox Relay? I don't know how it works and I am now not receiving emails. I would like to completely uninstall it and try againg to properly configure it so it does not block my emails.

I wasn't able to find any RSS feeds to subscribe to in the known vulnerabilities sections, nor in the Mozilla Foundation security advisories pages. I'd like to subscribe in Thunderbird, if possible to them.

Is there a newsletter or other way to keep up-to-date with these advisories?

I want to be able to manually resize my Gmail website sidebar. This is an app that does it for Chrome, Resize Gmail Sidebar by cloudHQ logo, but I can't find a solution for Firefox

Whenever I search on the Amazon site and click on a product I am interested in, Firefox blocks that original page with an identical one. It isn't a tab, but a totally new Firefox as if I started another session. When I close it, the Amazon search shows, identical to the fresh session was. It is so annoying. I do not see that happening on anything else.

For Securing my Apache server i have created a CA and from that CA i have created a self-signed certificate. When i add the certificate to the certificate manager and try to access my domain with https i am getting this warning 'Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead'. My certificate has enough validation. How can i get rid of this warning.

This is getting real annoying! Almost every time I log in to a website, I get a message that I haven't used this device before - when I've actually used it 50 times - and I have to use the 2FA to get a code sent to my phone. Complete waste of time. FF is behaving like I'm clearing all cookies every day - I rarely clear them. How do I fix this??

I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox on my Windows desktop and have added my Mac, iPad and iPhone to my account. On my desktop I have all 167 Passwords saved but the other devices only sync 27. I have reinstalled, relogged, removed sync, changed sync settings etc.

I have spent too much time trying to understand what is the deal with firefox bookmarks. It should be pretty simple. I have a bunch of folders that I add bookmarks to. I can see all the folders when I add another bookmark. But that's it. They are not available to go to, to find a bookmark. There are no folders. There are a bunch of bookmarks listed in "always show". Then if I do a search for answers, the answers do not address the issue bc it seems everyone who uses firefox has the same issue. My bookmarks aren't "hidden". What I need is to see the same setup with my folders when I want to find a bookmark that I see when I'm saving a bookmark, instead of scrolling through 1000 bookmarks with no context. (There is also no way for me to delete or clean up folders.) I need to access all the information I have stored in an organized, productive, fast way. It appears there are a lot of other frustrated people on these discussions with the same issue. I couldn't find any information or discussion of a system for clicking on something, opening up a folder, and clicking on the needed bookmark.

I really want to use Firefox as my default browser, and I am doing so now.

We use Motive (used to be KeepTruckin) as our electronic logging software for our truck drivers. When I log on to Motive, and go to schedules, the screen continues to roll, and the round arrow that goes round and round, keeps on going round and round.

I have contacted Motive support, and they advise using Google, which I do not want to do. However when I do use Google, all works as it should.

I've just downloaded the latest Firefox version and it won't load my Cornell email - adfs.ad.cornell.edu. I'm using a Macbook Pro. I can download the website on my iPhone.How do I get my email back?

bold textI did safety mode, did a reset, and still, when I click a hot link, I don't get a new window or a new tab as I directed in settings. WTF?

When I try to bookmark a page, I expect to see "Bookmark current tab" and when I click that, to be offered 1) to put it in the same place that the last bookmarked page was put 2) or, alternatively, to be given a choice of locations.

This is what happens on one of my two laptops.

On the other laptop, I am not offered a choice of locations. I am simply forced to bookmark the new page in the location where the previous bookmark that I made is, and I then have to go to "Edit This Bookmark" and move the new bookmark from the location where it currently sits, to the location that I want. This is clunky and inconvenient.

How can I configure this second laptop to behave like the other laptop?
