I have Adblocker Ultimate as an add-on. But I can't seem to put it in my toolbar. I have searched the internet to resolve this problem and nothing worked. It is listed in my Add-ons manager but I can't get it to show up in any bookmarks or the toolbar. It does work but I can't find it anywhere.

Firstly, when I open a second Firefox browser window, it doesn't show any pinned tabs, and secondly, if I close the window without the pinned tabs last and then reopen Firefox, the pinned tabs are gone.

That's very annoying. Do you have a solution for this? Am I making mistakes in the settings?

I've installed a new version of Ubuntu Linux and - as recommended on this page's FAQs - backed up my firefox profile, than copied it into the profile folder on the new os. Now Firefox tells me "You've launched an older version of firefox" and forces me to create a new profile :( Also loading the old profile in "about:profiles" leads to the same result

How can i restore at least my passwords? (When i try to copy only 4.db and logins.json from the old to the new profile, i get the same result)

I can't find an "import old profile"-function anywhere...

In the past I could save a document on Firefox as a pdf. I'd hit PRINT and select the "save as PDF" option at the bottom left corner. But I no longer see that option. I will have to switch my default browser to Safari or Chrome if this is not possible. Suggestion?

TL;DR: I ended up with 2FA disabled and recovery key enabled

Hello people !

I'm currently testing Firefox Account features such bookmark syncing and its login security (not password storage/sync). Unfortunately I'm having big trouble authenticating myself to the service right now.

I have 2 testing accounts with the following configuration :

1. I've setup 2FA authentication.
2. I did not set a secondary email.
3. I did not set an account recovery key.

Here are some of the tests I'm doing :

1. I start by doing several login/logout to check if 2FA is working as expected.
2. Then I add a secondary email then make it primary then remove the previous primary email.
3. Then again login/logout several times to check if 2FA is working as expected.

At some point I'm unable to login after some iterations of step 3) above.

1. At first I get an error saying my 2FA code is incorrect. But it allows me to login successfully using one of my 2FA backup.
2. Then again I logout/login several times to check if 2FA is working as it should be.
3. Then at some point I get the same error again saying my 2FA code is incorrect. Trying several unused 2FA backup fails with error saying they're also incorrect.
4. Then it finally says that I've tried too many time and suggests I should retry 15mins later.
5. When I try to login after some time it then ask me for an authorization code sent to my email. But then it says every authorization code I try is also incorrect.
6. I managed to disable 2FA from on one of the account I was still logged in Firefox. But when trying to login on another Firefox profile then I get the same error saying I tried too many times.

Just for clarification - Please note that I may have use one or two 2FA codes instead of authorization keys when it asked me so. But I did not mistyped any 2FA or auth code I've tried.

And after several hours of giving up on it - the problem suddenly vanished and I could login/logout fine. As a precaution I add a recovery key and decided to disable 2FA because I can be sure it will work as is should.

Maybe I get locked but I dont know what really happened. I believe I did not a lot of login abuse though. I just feel like it's a big issue for my case because I could not rely on the 2FA backup and authorization keys. The error didn't help either because it likely says I've been locked. Whereas having one or two mistyped codes or using "several correct 2FA backup and auth keys" which were wrongly considered incorrect - should not be treated as a login abuse or brute force.

From now on I will likely disable 2FA if using this service. I understand these tests are not things you do on everyday use but I can't imagine how bad it would feel if I have sync sensitive data such as passwords and have to wait hours to unlock access to my account (even if not to access those data).

I have physical limitations and need to use middle mouse button to scroll.

However, in Firefox, middle mouse button to scroll is interrupted whenever the mouse hovers over a hyperlink or linked object -- and, fun fact, there are A LOT of links on the Internet, so this equates to a very janky and sub-optimum experience, in my personal use-case.

How can I make it so that the middle mouse button functionality is not hijacked by mouse-over context? I've already tried/disabled middle-mouse-button-click-to-open-link-in-new-tab.

Hi,

does anyone know what to do to make the background of the bookmarks icon and the reload icon the same as the icon with the site connection lock? I've exhausted all options in the userChrome.css and cant get the background to change. It's in hover state.

For reference I've added a couple of images, the first how the background is and the second how I would like it to look. I'm on macOS and latest Firefox 111.

I have installed the Multi-Account Containers add-on. When I right-click on a link on a page, I am missing the Firefox Multi-Account Containers element shown in the Multi-Account Containers KB article (see attached screenshot KBContextMenu.png).

My context menu looks like the attached screenshot MyContextMenu.png.

1. Has the Multi-Account Containers add-on been updated, and the KB article needs to be revised?
2. Is there a setting that I need to do to show this context meny element?

I've been to several websites in the last couple of days that won't load in firefox, but will in chrome ( which I had to download to order groceries and I am not super happy about it ). the most egregious was today, I tried to order groceries from a major grocery store: meijer.com and the main page opened but if I like searched for "coke" it would freeze and nothing would load. not just coke, but also any other search term

I use an accessibility extension that modifies text to make it more readable, but I can't seem to make it work in reading mode. I'm aware there are some built in settings in reading mode, however these are not enough for me.

Firefox always brings up the saved password for a particular website, but the password is old and wrong. Going to the Logins and Passwords management page, I enter a search for the website as it appears in the address bar, but there is no associated login in Firefox. There is no password associated with any part of the website's name or URL in 'about:logins' . Yet still some password shows up with a saved login. How do I find the password for this website and correct the password?

When deleting emails in my Outlook account n one of the firefox tabs, if I click a little too fast it suddenly opens a new window with the next email in the list. I have firefox set to open tabs, not new windows. And I cant see any setting that should be making it open a new window when clicking delete. Its never done this before till recently and its very annoying.

I have been using Sync to keep my data backed up for the last 3 months. I got a new computer and logged in expecting Sync would bring my data in. To my surprise, NOTHING! All my open tabs, all my book marks, history, saved passwords... GONE!

And I can't go to the old computer because it has been turned in.

Where is my data?

Hi I use Firefox on 2 mac and 1 IoS device. The passwords or saved logins don't seem to sync across devices, even though they are all logged in via my account. Kindly advise.
