Hi there.I'm using Mozilla firefox 3.6.11 and i recently updated adobe flash player 10.1 with windows 7.Since then,i have problems playing the videos on youtube, and also other websites. It has been 10 days,i uninstalled and reinstalled flash player(like 50 times),tried to use older flash player versions, downloaded flash player edition for 64bit systems, controlled the java settings, controlled the flash player settings, basically tried everything written about this problem on both adobe and mozilla FAQ's,downloaded opera and google chrome to see if it works on those operators, nothing worked. And I also wrote an e-mail to Adobe support, since i got no answer, obviously they don't care much to bother themselves to give any kind of advice. What can i do to solve my problem?

There are several sites that provide popups that I want to see. Firefox had not been blocking them previously. Then today it did. I went to Options and listed these sites as exceptions. It still blocked them. I went to options and unchecked Block Popup Windows. It still blocked them. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. It still blocks them. What do I do now?

BTW, this does not occur when I access the same sites with Internet Explorer.

I am running windows 7 home premium on a HP (HPE-170f ).

Firefox hangs and then crashes on a regular basis when I multiple tabs and or windows open. When it asks to send a report, it usually tells me that there was an error in submission so the crash reports listed below are far from the only ones.

When I restart Firefox, my history is lost. I just went through your articles and I changed me startup to: show my windows from last time. Hopefully that will help the history problem but...What about the constant crashes?

Thanks for the help!

The second time I try to access a .jsp page at a given site, Firefox sees the .jsp page a file type it doesn't understand. It asks if I want to download and save file or open with another application.

Note: the site works fine the first time through. Then if I try to open the link a second time (or if I open a similar link) I get the download message.

Not every time, it seems to be happening intermittently.

And as much as I hate to say it, it is working fine via IE

Certain websites are opened in mobile form, on my desktop, no matter how I try to get there, favorites web search, link from e-mail etc. PayPal and Sony are two that I can not open. I use Firefox for multiple objectives. Progress in each objective is maintained in one Firefox window with multiple related tabs. These windows are retained until I have satisfied the objective for that window. For example, one window contains tabs related to traffic, news, and weather. Since I need this information everyday this window is never deleted.

Someone managed to close all the windows without saving them.

I have surmised all this on my own so it could be just a fantasy, but:

I am often the victim of slow internet connections. This means that when I try and watch streaming video it constantly pauses. It's my understanding that increasing the buffer size of flash would help prevent this but I can't figure out how to do that.

Thanks

i just bought a new computer, downloaded the latest firefox (did not import any info from my old computer's firefox yet), and though i saw the expected prompt to save a password when entering one on a site once (i did not save it at the time), the prompt no longer appears. the same thing occurs for any site, it never asks me if i want to save a password. i've rechecked my settings, and i have it set correctly to ask for it (the box IS clicked to 'remember passwords for sites', don't have it in 'private browsing' mode either (the option is grayed oust), have disabled any add-ons that i had (i only have AdBlock and McAfee as add-ons), have restarted Firefox multiple times, and still no luck, it never asks me if i want to save a password for any logons on any sites. i'm running Windows 7, and using Firefox 3.6.11. HELP! thanks.

Hello,

I have noticed over the last couple of days that Firefox (and Google Chrome) have been displaying some of the websites I visit wrong.

The fonts on these websites are being displayed incorrectly, they have started to look fragmented and weird.

Here are some links to the screenshots of these websites:

The sites that are shown in the links are:

Can someone please give me some insight as to what is wrong, it's not stopping me from doing anything but it is starting to get really annoying.

Thanks, Caleb Watson

I've used Firefox on my laptop for a number of years without issue. I've routinely updated the program when notified of upgrades (current version is 3.6.11, can't exactly remember when I updated). I use my laptop both at home (cable broadband) and at school (wireless network). A few days ago I had the browser open when I took the laptop to school. I believe everything was fine when I first booted up the system but I might be misremembering and it may have occurred as soon as awoke the laptop. The browser was locked up so I closed it expecting an easy restart. When I restarted the browser it wouldn't to load any of the multiple pages I had previously opened. I confirmed internet access with Outlook and IE. I have un-installed and reinstalled Firefox two or three times and it still fails to load whatever page I throw at it (NYT, WaPo, Google, etc). I know I have internet access. I went through the process of checking the Firewall and added Firefox to the list. Why it wan't there already I don't know. I am using Chrome as an interim browser and it isn't on the list (?) I am unsure of other info I found when looking over the firewall settings so I may have a bigger problem than just Firefox loading pages. Your help is appreciated.
