I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I have tried: Running Firefox in safe mode (Shift + Left Click) Resetting Firefox Switching Back to default themes Disabling hardware acceleration Updating to the latest Beta Build (v126) Running Firefox Developer edition

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.

This has been happening for months now, on multiple devices (I have tried at least 3 different devices), and on multiple networks.

I have read the articles in here, but they just want me to check network configuration which is exactly the same for all browsers.

If I restart firefox it starts working again.

How can I prevent it from breaking randomly? This is the only browser having issues, I'm almost positive is some bug and not a configuration thing, given that it happens under multiple circumstances and devices, while Edge and Chrome simply keep working just fine.

There is no consistent repro I can give, afaik it is just random, at some point Firefox just decides to stop working and I have to restart it. This disrupts my work and browsing activities as I can lose progress on input forms and similar actions.

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

After just turning on my computer running Windows 10, I opened Firefox. I open 1 web site and noticed my computer showed a (16) prefix when loading Firefox. I opened the Task Manager and it showed that there were 15 instances of "firefox" running in the background. All showed a UAC Virtulization of "Disabled". But they also showed using 638.8MB of memory. I do not know whether these are necessary files that must run in the background or if the number of files indicates that my system has been hacked and someone else is in my system from outside. Any suggestions as to validity of these files running or how I might confirm that they should be running. I have noticed the number of excessive background files before but the number is never consistent which makes me fear I may have been hacked.

Today I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Since doing this, the taskbar icon is not the same as it has always been.

It used to be that if I pinned Firefox to the taskbar, I would click on it and the default Firefox window would open. When the mouse was right-clicked, the icon showed there was a choice of the default Firefox window and an option for a privacy window I could choose. I did that frequently.

Now if I pin Firefox to the taskbar there is no privacy window option. If I pin the private browser to the taskbar, this becomes the default window with options for the non-private default browser available with a right mouse click.

I would like to know how to pin the default Firefox window to the taskbar and have the private window option show up when that icon is clicked please.

I recently got a new computer. Installed firefox onto it. Brought over my profile with all my data and bookmarks. But for the life of me, the page would just sporadically flicker. I tried messing with the settings; performance settings; hardware acceleration. I tried refreshing firefox. But nothing.

When we download a pdf file from the server, the "choice box" allow to . open in the browser or . open in Acrobat or . download on my PC. The opening fails with this message. This is the problem. The download on my PC works and when I open the file from my PC it works also.

We need this function of opening a pdf or xml directly from a server IBM Power with Ubuntu. It was OK for several years until 125.0.1 Firefox version. We had no change on the IBM server.

Can you repair this problem quickly. My PC uses Windows 10

I have to put my face within inches of the screen and strain to see the text in Firefox browser menus, tabs, and search bars. How do I adjust the font size?

I'm not a programmer. If I need to enter code please be pedantic about descriptions of how to do that.

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? Hello, have been scratching my head for a while on this one. Have a freshly setup install of Debian 12, using Sway (wayland) as my Window Manager. I am really struggling with slowness in Firefox, page loads take easily 15 seconds whereas loading the exact same page in another window at the same time with Chromium Debian build has near instantaneous load times. I've tried the following troubleshooting steps: - Created a new firefox profile - Tried "Troubleshooting Mode" in Firefox - Disabled ipv6 in firefox about:config and in Debian - Tried different DNS servers - Tried different non-debian specific builds of Firefox - Tried Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly for Debian

None of these steps made any difference, and Chromium has continued to be significantly faster. Am really stuck here and would love to get to the bottom of this as Firefox is the only browser that works with a HiDPI display in Sway without blurryness. Happy to provide any and all diagnostics and reports that are needed. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: It seems to be some kind of networking issue, using a VPN solves it. But still doesn't explain why Chromium would behave differently.

Canvas is working on all other browsers normally, but when I try to login on firefox an error 403 message shows up at the two factor authentification step. I allowed popups already in this browser so that is not the issue.

If above answer is yes, next we would like to filter out some cookies by name that should not be shared across tabs. Meaning, we want some cookies that can be shared across tabs and some should not be shared.

I have an issue where I go to website and I get a message that the website is temporarily available. I cannot go to a different webpage for what URL I want. I believe this has to do with history. I suspect I can get past this by flushing the history. I can get to the website I want by using a different browser such as chrome. Ho do I fix this?
