The secondary address of my mail is tied to a mailbox that has long been deleted. is it possible to remove the binding, because I can not make a new account to synchronize to my secondary address: "Primary account email required for reset".

I received an email from mozilla monitor warning me about some data breech, the 11 of march; just saw it today; because the account I had with firefox is very old (from 2011) and I never used it, and moreover I am not sure of its password and its nickname, I requested mozilla to re-send me the username, but after tiying 3 times now, no email has shown up, and mozilla site tells me the email has been sent alright; I have other email sent by mozilla, firefox, without problems they are there in my email; I checked both the spam folder and the trash folder, no luck. thanks so much for any help. By the way, just now while I am writing, just received the confirmation email for this lines that I am writing, that I had to sign up with a new account; so, when sent, the mozilla emails looks are arriving without any hindrance... but not the ones where I asked to re-send my username for the old account!!

Sync email confirmation disappearing

For the last few days I have gotten the yellow icon to verify my account. I then click on Resend Verification, which it then says that a verification link is on its way.

However, when I got to my Outlook (on Firefox) and click on the link, it disappears.

I have tried this several times and even checked the email verification that was sent on my iPhone and it is not even showing. Its not in my deleted folder or anything.

First off, I want to ensure my account is verified on this computer but I also want to fix this bug for future issues.

Please advise

This is has remained an ongoing issue from December 2018 that you at Mozilla have failed to resolve.

"The confirmation email we sent to n*******@****.** was returned and we’ve locked your account to protect your Firefox data." I'm pretty sure emails to that account are not bouncing. Could you please unlock my account so that I can access my sync account through THAT email, which actually accepts emails as I've tested many times? (For example, this mozilla account is linked to the same email address, for which I received a confirmation email from Mozilla itself a few minutes ago)

To make matters worse, I could not delete the account to start afresh, because or an incorrect-password response on the dialog form used to submit the change, Therefore I disconnected and now no longer am able to access that account from any browser. When I attempt to create a new account using the same email address, I am prompted with "Account exists", which is understandable.

Attempts to reset password ALWAYS result in an instantaneously displayed (with NO delay or pause) error, "Email was returned", and no email message ever gets sent from Mozilla, in inbox or spam.

I need this corrected immediately. Either resolve this by procedure OR perform and override and delete my account to allow creation of a new account with that SAME email address.

This is the EXACT same scenario that I have attempted, but unlike the user mentioned below, who apparently was successful in receiving the reset email from Mozilla, I never received an email message, and Mozilla claims that the "email was just returned". All transpiring within the last 30 minutes, this exact same behavior has occurred whether I attempt a reset on the iOS device (iPhone Xs) or on the PC from which I have responded to this follow-up inquiry.


Something must be constitutionally wrong here, and I assure you that if any Mozilla email had been successfully delivered to the above ISP account, then spam filters would still have allowed examination of such message for my observation and manipulation.

That's not happening. I have added my account as a primary recipient of this response, as verification.

There's nothing on the screen that shows up when I replied to your e-mail. Where do I click to confirm that I got the e-mail?

I am getting this message: The confirmation email we sent to SilverRiverKayaker@gmail.com was returned and we’ve locked your account to protect your Firefox data. This comes even though my email is active and working fine. How can I get my sync to work once again?

I have 10 recovery codes generated when enabling 2FA, but unfortunately entering each one does not bring the expected effect. I also have a 58-character code, but I do not know what it is for. I have checked on other devices and do not have a device from which I can disable Two-step authentication. I understand this operation is non-reversible and I will lose access to any Sync data that is not already on a device.

I tried to login, Firefox would not recognize my password. I clicked on forgot password, didn't get an email. Tried twice. Opened up a new tab, went to login Firefox, put in my email as user name and my old password and it took. This is very confusing. MY Questions was to be: I start my computer (I don't leave it on all night) everything boots up, I click on Firefox icon and from there it takes minimum 40 seconds to 60 seconds to finally appear. Why is it so slow? Never use to be? Thanks for any answers you can give.

Not getting confirmation. Said sent to saLinghigh@gmail.com users. Apparently there are more than one saLinghigh because I get nothing!! I want to delete this entire account and start over with another email. Reset pass word, new one will not work. Don't know old one or if there was another user name. I am about fed up with trying to fix this. I am not happy with just the pat answers from computer.
