Hi there!

I'm trying to troubleshoot why firefox isn't connecting to my DNS over HTTPS instance running adguard home. Every other device (including another laptop) is able to set the DNS over HTTPS and connect successfully - but my desktop PC instance gets NS_ERROR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. Despite multiple reboots, ipconfig /flushdns, release/renew, etc...

Even my android phone is able to connect to it using the "private dns" feature (uses port 853 instead of 443).

I've been able to verify https access to the DNS server and it's querying successfully. It's just this one instance it won't connect.

When I pull up my settings, it states that my browser is being monitored by my organization. The problem is that my laptop is my private laptop and not connected to any organization, at least, not with my knowledge. When I click on the link associated with the message, it lists two policy names. One policy value is locked with the word true after it. The other policy value is unlocked with the word false after it. What do I do?

For some reason when I opened Firefox this morning, my Firefox home page did not have any of my shortcuts. They all disappeared. Please have a look at the image attached to see what I mean.

I spent almost the entire day searching up the issue on the Internet and trying different things but they all did not work.

When will the new version of Firefox fixing the PDF reader vulnerability be rolled out?

Unless there is some patch one needs to re-install a non-vulnerable version.

Outgoing emails are blocked. This pop up shows. Receiver can send emails in.

I keep needing to sign back into my main (default) Google account when I restart Firefox. Checked cookies and even disabled blocking of any cookies. Still same issue, and unique to Google. All other sites (Facebook, LinkedIn) stay signed in upon browser restart.

Hello, By default, DoH fails on Max Protection in the latest OS versions listed above. The workaround I've discovered is using https://1.1.1.1/dns-query, but I would rather use the default settings.

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

Please someone help me with this. My primary email has been breeched and because I was honest with the service --instead of just saying I need help resetting my password. Thay are asking me to send them a copy of my drivers' license and a photo "selfie" of myself to recover my account.

This is where I draw the line -- all invasions of privacy we have learned to live with but not this -- I could give them the transaction ID from my last Payment from Paypal period -- but that was not good enough. If I was being deceitfull I could easily provide the crdentials they ask for and it could all be fake; so I told them to get lost as I was paying for the Premium service anyway. I can contintue to use that as my ID but sonner or later someone is going to want to send me a code there and I can't retrieve it. Tonight they did not ask so I was able to get in here.

Everybody has a place to change your password but few have a place to change your sign-in ID. If I can get back into Firefox with a new ID and set 2 step validation I shouls be okay as faras the average user gors. The other option that I know of is to stary a new Firefox account. I alread have a lot of people and business's that I have to get my new email to.
