Greetings,

Today, I went to access my Bookmarks, & found them "Empty", other wise "Missing"!

I found the "How to recover missing Bookmarks" topics, & that did bring back,what I consider to be My "Permanent Books", bu the section called "Other Bookmarks" will not come back, no matter how many times I go through the "Restore Bookmarks".

I Absolutely need that section to be restored, for I had many files in that section that I updated daily, that I planned to move to the "Bookmarks Section".

How can I get get this section restored?

Hi. Over the past few weeks my bookmarks rearrange themselves. For example, I have several folders in Bookmarks Toolbar, and I alphabetize the bookmarks in each folder. Now they rearrange themselves, and frequently generate duplicates. When I try to delete a duplicate, both bookmarks are deleted. Help, please!

How do you REMOVE suggested web sites from the address bar?

I do not use them and I do not want on the address bar suggestions.

I do not have any of these sites saved as bookmarks or in my search engine choices.

Suddenly, my favorites are displayed one the main toolbar, and the favorites toolbar remains empty. Very annoying as the main toolbar does not leave much spaces for favorites. The favorites toolbar remains stubbornly empty, and I do not find any way to correct this strange behaviour.

Firefox recently updated automatically and when i went into the browser all my bookmarks are gone. i have tried restoring them from the most recent back up and they still don't load. i searched the blogs and go thru the troubleshooting options with no luck. this is very frustrating as i had tons of sites i don't visit often saved in the bookmarks which are not gone.

any assistance or guidance on how to get these back is appreciated.

Very annoying, cleaning all my bookmarks on my main computer, next morning I got a clutter of all bookmarks. Copy of bookmarks as well of folders.

Only way to solve it is to make new sync ID, or?

I have been using Firefox for 10+ years but have encountered a completely new problem in the last few weeks. Random bookmarks have been losing their web addresses. The bookmark remains but the URL has disappeared. You can't edit the bookmark to re-enter the URL and the only solution is to delete and recreate. Often several bookmarks in different folders are impacted. I have now taken to backing up my bookmarks every time I create a new one.

Anyone seen anything like this or know what the solution is?

Firefox version = 86.0 64 bit (but the problem started before 86.0 rolled out) OS version = Windows 10 Pro 2004 64 bit

I noticed occasionally that an odd entry might come up every now and again in the address bar auto-complete, and they always had a little blue star. Turns out that's the "bookmarks" autocomplete option. Once I located one of them, I searched through my bookmarks to try to delete it, but it is not there. I actually went through and deleted all of my bookmarks in Firefox save two, and lo and behold there are still dozens, possibly hundreds, of "bookmarked" suggestions in the autocomplete bar. For instance, woot.com; I used to have it bookmarked, but since I haven't used it in months, I deleted it. Yet when I click on "bookmarks" in the address bar search, woot.com shows up among a dozen other entries which are clearly not in my bookmarks.

I checked my other browsers and cleared their bookmarks as well, although none of them had woot.com bookmarked as far as I can tell. I deleted browsing history older than 6 months and searched through both my bookmarks and history, finding no entries for this. I went to the Options menu, Privacy and Security, and Address Bar, and disabled "Bookmarks", and found that doing so DOES in fact prevent these supposed bookmarks from being suggested in the address bar when typing.

I'd like to be able to remove these old, outdated suggestions from my address bar while still leaving the bookmarked page search function working. Where is Firefox pulling these old bookmarks from? How can I delete them?

After updating to Firefox 86.0 (64-bit), none of my bookmarks work. The properties area for each bookmark is entirely blank, with no URLs shown. How do I restore my bookmarks and why did their functionality disappear in the first place?

J'ai fait un nettoyage avec Avast aujourd'hui, et cela a complètement perturbé mes marque-pages : dans un premier temps, ils sont restés affichés mais je ne pouvais plus cliquer dessus. Puis, j'ai éteint mon ordinateur, et quand je l'ai rallumé, la plupart de mes marque-pages avaient disparu. Certains sont restés...

J'ai tenté de faire une restauration (datée d'aujourd'hui), mais cela m'a remis la même version.

Est-ce que vous savez ce que je peux faire ?

I would like to associate a favicon with a bookmarklet that I've created and offer on our library website. I want the favicon to be associated with the bookmarklet and to show next to the bookmark when it is added onto the bookmarks toolbar.

In the last month or so it seems when there is a Firefox update I lose my bookmarks. I can still see them, they just don't work. I have to delete them and start over again. This is the third time in roughly three weeks.

Every time I upgrade Firefox, my Bookmarks disappear.

Could you plase tell me how to get them back and prevent this happening in the future.

I updated Firefox, following instructions to save bookmarks and passwords, synching with another device and now it is all gone - no book marks, etc. Is it recoverable?

I regularly do repeated tasks in different subject areas, for instance, finance, sports, business, etc.. With each of these, I regularly go to a standard set of sites in different tabs.

How in Firefox can I create sets of tabs such that all I need to do is click on one, Finance, for instance, and have it automatically open the set of tabs that I saved in that set? So, then I could open Sports, and just see the regular set of tabs that I saved for that topic.

In other words, using different instances of Firefox, I could open different sets of tabs without having to open those tabs individually every time.

Hi My bookmarks are not working when I click on them nothing happens. I've been using Firefox successfully for a number of years so I can't understand why they have suddenly stopped taking me to the bookmarked page! Please help

Hi, I hope everyone is fine, I have recently downloaded Firefox and it is working perfectly except I am unable to bookmark my website. I am not facing this problem with all websites but with some websites like Moz.com, Fromhomedental and Instagram. Kindly guide me the solution to this problem.
