Foxit Reader is my favourite PDF program. To be able to save and print from the preview window in Firefox (on the left hand upper side) I use the ESR channel. Till version 59.9 at the bottom of the preview window a toolbar appeared with which I could save or print the document. Since the upgrade to version 60.2, this toolbar does not appear (which was the fact when I used the standard version of Firefox). I want to downgrade to ESR 59.9 (though Mozilla does not recommend this) in order to have back the toolbar, but if I choose for this version (in the download history under 'options') the latest version remains. Secondly: Is there a way to retrieve the mentioned toolbar in ESR version 60.2?

For the past month I've stopped being able to download the PDF file for my monthly bank statements. I've exchanged multiple e-mails with my bank's Online Banking technical support, but no one there is using Firefox 40; only IE, which Avast broke for me a couple of years ago and has been non-functioning ever since.
One thing I wanted to try is to prevent Firefox from opening the PDF file into its own browser window. I just want to download the file, not view it in the browser (which is failing to happen anyway). Is there anything in about:config that I could tweak to prevent Firefox from firing up its own PDF internal viewer? What may be complicating matters is that I refuse to use Adobe as my PDF reader. BLOATWARE. Instead I use Foxit Reader, which is extremely fast, small, has never failed me in the past and continues to work perfectly when I download PDF files from all other web sites.
One more thing. When Firefox is downloading the file in question the download proceeds quite rapidly, then abruptly stops. The error message that pops up is as follows:
"Secure Connection Failed
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
• The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
• Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
One final thing: I am on a dial-up connection. But since the download appears to proceed quite rapidly (takes less than twenty seconds before it suddenly quits on me), then I rather doubt my slow connection speed could be causing the problem.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this problem.

My website has a number of pdf pages, each of which has a linked button for "More detail". This works fine in IE and fine in Pale Moon and fine in CHrome and fine even in FF if FF is set to use the Adobe pdf viewer.
But if FF is using the built in viewer, the links don't work, either completely non-responsive, or go to the wrong address.
This issue has been bugging people for a few years, is it possible to get it fixed please? I am tired of dealing with frustrated users who can't open the linked files.
Example look here: http://canberrabirds.org.au/wp-content/BirdSummaryData/Australasian%20Bittern.pdf andclick on More Detail blue button at top.

A weird one. I'm using Windows (7 or 8.1) and Firefox 40.0.3 – some setting must be screwed up.
When I click on some links on The Australian news website, it goes to that page, and automatically opens an associated PDF. This is a recent problem, on both my computers.
How can I stop this?
Thanks

For some reason, Firefox is now not displaying parts of the page correctly. I've noticed this mostly in my Wordpress Jetpack stats, but as I've gone around the web, it's been doing the same with PDFs as well. Videos and regular images are fine.
Here are some sample images. These are supposed to be JetPack stats, you should see line graphs, but it just looks like you changed the TV channel to a non-operating signal.

Here's what I see on a PDF: http://queenoftherandomjob.com/Bernie.jpg And the actual link to the PDF: https://berniesanders.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Wall-St-Letter-1.pdf
I spoke with Jetpack and they said it definitely was a browser issue...I have checked in Safari and Opera and everything is rendering fine there. PDFs, Wordpress...no issue.
This issue started just last week, and I haven't installed or changed anything. Everything was fine in the morning, and then in the evening, it went all wiggy. I do not have Avast anti-virus (this seems to be the culprit in other people's issues,) and I'm on a Macbook. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, cleared the cache, etc. I'm still having issues.
If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

I read a similar post where a user had the same issue, but their solution seemed to be "open in Adobe Reader," which seems like a lame solution.. Their complaint was that the extra step is annoying, and I agree. When I download a PDF file or open one from Firefox, I should be able to do so within the browser. I can do it chrome, but I prefer not to use chrome.
I tried to attach screen shots of the page as it is supposed to be and how it actually prints, but the "Uploaded images:" box just keeps spinning. If anyone can help and would like to see what my issue actually looks like, I can sent you a picture somehow, I'm sure.
