Since firefox upgraded, I keep getting the message 'firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page,' whenever I click a link in a webpage. 1 month ago I updated from Firefox version 45.0.2 to Version 46.0. Immediately, Firefox slowed to a crawl. Pages loaded extremely slow, typing forms required considerable more time, scrolling web pages was jerky. There was NO NOTICEABLE INCREASE in CPU usage or memory observed in Task Mgr. I am running windows XP SP3. I did the recommended troubleshooting remedies, starting in safe mode, but, nothing changes. I reverted back to version 45.0.2 and the problem was immediately reversed. When version 47.0 was introduced, I once again updated and the problem returned. I have created a new profile to try and correct the problem, I've refreshed Firefox with negative results. Once again, I have reverted to version 45.0.2 until it can be determined what is causing this issue. I am on cable broadband 100 mbps download speed so this isn't an issue. I have tested up to 79 mbps download speed. The most severe problems occur on websites such as Facebook, however it is still very noticeable on other web pages, such as my banking and utility company web sites where I pay bills. It is slow trying to log in as it takes a very noticeable longer length of time to load the pages. Any help is extremely appreciated to correct this issue?

I have an HP Pavillon, Juno email and Firefox is my default browser, At some point while accessing my email I will get the "unresponsive script" error and although it gives my options to continue, debug or close, none of it works and computer freezes. So I have to go to Task Manager and close everything down and start over. Very frustrating. It has also happened when I have been on other websites or with Internet Explorer. HP has tried fixing it, Juno has tried ....all to no avail. I've tried refresh, done many virus/malware scans, etc. It seems to me there is a plug-in or an add-in or some box somewhere not checked. Any ideas?

I make use of an application that allows me to open a website in a frame within a tab. As long as i click on a link that let's me stay on that webpage the site stay's within the frame. But if the link revers to another website/url i get a new tab instead of the website being opened within the frame. I downloaded BlackBelt Privacy for using Tor with Firefox. All of my bookmarks and toolbars disappeared after that. I read this page that says that my bookmarks are in the places.sqlite file: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data#w_what-information-is-stored-in-my-profile I found 2 places.sqlite files and saved the largest one in hopes that it might have my bookmarks. When I try to use the Restore Bookmarks feature in the Library window of Firefox, it won't accept that sqlite file because it insists on having a JSON file. I've restored Firefox to default settings but still don't have my old bookmarks and toolbars back. How can I get my old bookmarks and maybe my toolbars back if that's possible?

Hello.

I believe one of the recent updates is causing the "Remember Logins for Sites" to be disabled every time I restart my computer. I'll test if it's also when I restart FF, (I restated FF on my laptop and RLFS was left on) . I noticed it because passwords were not being populated automatically (like usual). I found this option off, and turning it back on, allowed the pw fields to be auto populated again. However, after every restart, "Remember Logins for Sites" is off again. It is also happening on my wife's laptop.

Thank you team FF.

Every day, multiple times a day, every time I open Firefox (latest updated version 45., non-Beta), multiple tabs open for every single one of my add-ons, prompting me to manually update them. For each update, I must go through a two- or three-step process, pushing a button twice if no restart is required, three times if it is. To say the least, this is driving me up the wall. Sadly, I have yet to find a solution on the support forum. I am a long-time Mozilla devotee. I believe in Mozilla and Firefox, and prefer this non-profit, community-driven product to any commercially-driven alternative -- hands-down. But this constant updating of add-ons is making my Firefox browsing life simply untenable. I cannot continue to do this. Can anyone give me guidance on a way out? I would so love to NOT have to switch to a different browser. Many thanks in advance to this amazing global community.

I have tried several times now to load different websites. When I tried to load a new page, it shows a blue spinning wheel that doesn't stop spinning and will not load most pages. Sometimes the blue wheel stops spinning, but the page is still blank. Once in a great while when I do get a page to finally load, it runs very slow taking a couple minutes to load the one page and it is not loaded properly. Also on the "loaded page" only the text shows up, but not a single image. I have also tried loading Facebook and after I got past the login page, it told me that it needed cookies to be enabled. My cookie setting was already enabled before that. Any ideas as to what could be going on? I don't know if it is something on Firefox's end or the Hughes Net service I have. I have scoured through Firefox's help and troubleshoot pages and have not found a fix. Thanks in advance for any help!
