I am trying to get a older version 56.0 32 bit to use autofill on a site that has been working but now blocked it. The site is NICS site to do a background check it will load and on the second page after about three min. a message pops up and states something like not allowed is there a way i can change setting to get the old version to allow this ? I also use the same setup to do a military lending act check and it has also been blocked in the past few weeks. The new version will work but i can't use autofill i don't care what version i use i just need the autofill.

when I sign into Goog/setting/2 step, the page does not show "app passwords." I've turned off my ad-blocker extensions and pop-up blocker on the page. See attached.

When using amazon the login and page load times are excessively long. More often than not I can open MSN, load amazon, login, and find what I'm looking for before Firefox has completed signing me in or searching for an item. This is not a once in a while problem, it happens every time with amazon, some times worse than other times. Ive deleted and reloaded Firefox, cleared all history and tried as many other things that I could find online to try, none of which helped.

If I open a second tab on the screen it says the connection has crashed and keeps doing it if you try again. If you reset it resets Firefox including the other tab.

This pops up every few hours. Sometimes it pops up invisible but steals focus from the main window. How can this be disabled?

I tried all methods that have been mentioned everywhere on the Internet, including policy.json, Group Policy on Windows, etc. Nothing disables this nagging yet.

When I do right mouse click on page, depending on the mouse cursor position, context menu appears and I need to scroll up or down to access appropriate item. I thought I need to try and fix size and position of a page context menu. Is it possible? I am trying to add an mp4 video to my website using the following code:

where ### is the name of the video file. I get the following error message:

"No video with supported format or MIME type found."

In the console the following is displayed:

"Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded. video.html All candidate resources failed to load. Media load paused. video.html Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006)"

Runs just fine in Chrome and I have no pop-up blockers installed. Autoplay is set to be allowed for all websites.

Windows 11 version 23H2. Firefox version: 126.0 (64-bit)

On Edge or other search engines I've been able to highlight, copy and past a web address where the pasted result is a clickable link to the website, but this doesn't work for Firefox. I have looked through the settings and other questions online, but found no solution, from what I can see people more often ask about the opposite issue to mine. Is this a limitation of the search engine or am I dumb?

My Firefox tab keeps crashing on a particular website. Whenever I go to twitch.tv, the site begins to load and then I get the "Gah. Your tab just crashed." screen. I'm only getting this crash on twitch.tv pages, and this issue just started on May 31, 2024. When I try to open a twitch.tv page in Private Mode, the page loads just fine. I've never had a Firefox tab crash prior to this.

I've tried turning off all of my Firefox extensions, but that didn't solve the issue. I also tried opening Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode, but I still got the tab crash. I'm using the latest version of Firefox as of today's date.

I am trying to open a website but I keep getting error code 522. I've tried using Chrome and it connects to the website with no problem. I've checked my privacy settings and I do not have that website blocked. What else can I check? I don't think it's an issue from the website side. Opening messenger was not a problem in my firefox. But recently i cannot access my messenger anymore in firefox. Everytime I try to open messenger it crashes. But I can use messenger in private window. Can please someone give me a solution for this problem.

Hi, I've recently downloaded firefox and trying to add extensions that were similar to the ones I used on chrome. My problem is that all the extensions (Hoverzoom, Short Keys) in the extensions tab in the toolbar and appear to not be working (both in private and normal browsing). However the extensions (Ublock, SponsorBlock) that have their own icon on the toolbar seem to be working fine.

Website loaded without any problems for months until I get this error message out of the blue; see screenshot below.

Did try Java toggle on-off extension but the options button is not displayed on the extension that would have enabled me to enter URL of site in blacklist text box.

I have recently been getting an error message when I open Firefox saying "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem". This has been happening since I clicked on a mail in Mail to unsubscribe from a spam/phishing mail list, which seemed to result in me installing Firefox Private Browsing, which I had never subscribed to. I have tried uninstalling Private Browsing but there is no way of doing that. I have even uninstalled and then re-installed Firefox completely but I still have the same problem. Because of the problem I have now lost all my bookmarks and history, and am unable to create new bookmarks and history. I have been on the help forums and seen that I can Disable Private Browsing by going through my anti-virus (Avast), which I have not yet tried because what I would really like to achieve is uninstalling and not having Private Browsing on my Start menu, rather than simply disabling it. Anyway, would disabling it solve the bookmarks and history problem ? Can anyone give me the solution ? Thanks. As you may gather, I am not very techno so you would have to give me the idiot's version of any instructions or advice.

I would like to further secure my passwords but don't want to have to enter the primary password every time I start the browser. I would like it to only prompt me if a password is needed. I can go days without needing a password to be entered and open and close Firefox every time I use it. It gets tedious. Thanks!
