I know this question has been posed more than once in the past. The answer has always been: go back to school, learn computer programming, get master classes and practice with coding until you make it. I am using Watefox since when Firefox tab bar was moved close to the sky. I just decided to try Firefox again: I have installed it and the first thing I tried to do is moving the tab bar below the address bar. It seems that there's no easy way. How can it be?, I wondered. With Waterfox I use the Tabs on Bottom add-on and that's it. You may believe my need is frivolous, but for me that makes the difference between keeping or uninstalling Firefox. Bottom line: is still forbiddend to wish to get the tab bar where I believe it should be? Thanks,

We've a new software which always opens a pop-up window when clicking on the Java links. The content of such a re-sizable window perfectly fits into a new tab. I'd like to force those new windows into a new tab. Pop-up blocker is active and that internal site is in the exception list. So it would be nice to have an option field for that in the general settings or in the Pop-up blocker settings. This is no bug, but could be a new feature of Firefox (like in IE). Thanks &

Prior to upgrading to FF 69.0 I had my chrome file configured to hide icons in my bookmark toolbar. With the update to FF 69.0, the icons have reappeared. How do I fix this again? Previously I had utilized this method:
"Yes, you can paste the full code posted above including the @namespace line. The :not([container]) selector means that you still have the folder icons with bookmarks folders. If you want to hide the icons for folders as well then leave out this selector."
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */ #personal-bookmarks .bookmark-item .toolbarbutton-icon { display:none!important;

When I type a few characters into the url bar, I see a list of completions from sites I've visited before, and the completion from the top match is highlighted in the URL bar. For example, if I type 'ny' into the search bar, I see a list of sites pop up with 'ny' in the url, and the URL bar itself now contains the original 'ny' characters followed by a highlighted string of 'times.com' since that's the site with nt in it that I've visited the most. So far, so good. The problem comes when I press <enter> however. Instead of taking me to the New York Times website as I intended, the browser reacts as if I only typed in ny in the search bar and hit <enter>, and it ignores the auto-suggestions that it just displayed. (In this case, it takes me to ny.com, which is not what I want). How do I get <enter> key presses to go to the completed url? Here is a screen cast showing exactly what I'm talking about: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L4a_lLG0QRPRU6aKSvoUIa8MOvRwBCHm/view?usp=sharing

Worked fine until I upgraded Firefox to 68. No other windows changes. (Windows 7) Other browsers have no problems, only firefox.
No extensions or add-ons of any kind being run. Problem only appeared after FireFox 68 update. Windows 7 useraccountcontrolsettings set to NEVER NOTIFY Tried to run FireFox as administrator, did not help. UAC set to disable (Always been like this) No other changes other than FireFox 68 update.

Why nobody told me about policies.json when I asked this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1190091 ? Everything I asked is possible by creating a policies.json file. Why do you explain this to enterprises while you tell absolutely nothing to parents who wish to protect the children from harmful content on the Internet ? The usage of the file policies.json is exacly when I wanted in my post https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1190091 , including: -Disable Private Browsing -Disable the "disabling" or removal of any installed add-ons -Disable safe-mode -Disable the installation of VPN and Proxy extensions which would allow children to by-pass my DNS filtering, That's just unbelievable. You give the information to the enterprises and you tell absolutely nothing to parents! This is Wrong.

Even when I search in Preferences --> Search --> Find more search engines, Google does not even appear in the results. When I visit Google.com, the green plus sign does not appear on the magnifying glass in the search toolbar, but it shows up on almost every other site. Even on this Mozilla Support site, the green plus sign appears and I can add this to my search toolbar, but I can't add Google.
This all started when I updated my Mac to Catalina, but I don't see why that would affect my ability to simply add Google to my search toolbar. Someone please help, this is driving me insane.

Recently I bought a new PC, installed Firefox on it, logged in with my account and synced all of my bookmarks and add-ons, etc My wife is now working on my old PC, therefore I removed all old programs and installed just the basic stuff she always uses. She's also created her own account after installing the latest version of Firefox. I didn't rename the computer, only her Windows useraccount. Also created a new profile, that doesn't help either because bookmarks keep getting synced between two different accounts each on a different PC and I don't seem to get it right. Looked at the different devices that should sync under each account, that seems to be OK. But everytime I make a change in the bookmarks on one of the PC's with it's own account the other one also gets changed under that different account. Can someone help me by taking it step by step, so I can understand what it is I am doing wrong?

I have been trying to access www.cross-x.com/ for the past few days. Unfortunately, the certificate has expired and the site is using HSTS. If I want to access the site, I am forced to either change my computer time (and undergo all the nastiness associated with that), or use chrome with the --ignore-certificate-errors flag, which compromises my general security. Neither of these options are preferable. Is it possible to bypass HSTS for this site or will firefox force me to wait for the site admins to fix it (doubtful because the certificate expired in early October)? Is there a command line flag, or a patch to the source code that will permit this?

I'm using Firefox 68.0.1 on macOS Mojave 10.14.5. When I go full screen, the tabs and address bar remain at the top of the screen. I can't make them go away. I've tried:
- Installing plugins (I tried a couple) - Disabling Add-ons (Safe mode) - Resetting Firefox - Disabling hardware acceleration (and restart browser) - Using different techniques to go full screen (Cmd+Shift+F, Cmd+Ctrl+F, Zoom menu) - Scrolling or clicking in the canvas to ensure focus
No matter what, the tab bar and address bar remain on the screen (see attached screenshot). I've also attached my browser config (filtered on "full"). Is there any way to get a full-screen experience in Firefox?
