I asked this some time ago. "Does clearing cookies in Firefox delete usernames and passwords". The answer i got was no, only if i have a remember me. I`ve tried this again without the remember me box ticked on some sites but it does delete the usernames and passwords. Any further information please?

Firefox 55.0.3, windows 10

The goal is to not accept any cookies except ones that I specifically allow. (For example for my webmail account.)

I am trying these settings:

Accept cookies unchecked. cookie exeptions allow. Tried all combinations for "always use private browsing mode" and "clear history when firefox closes."

Basically it ignores the cookies exceptions. This used to work fine on previous firefox versions, on other computers. The failure described here occurs for installations of firefox 55.0.3 on two different windows 10 computers.

Hey I have to delete the cookies once in a while to keep my device fast. But there are some important cookies that I need to keep. But as I delete all cookies, they get deleted too. So is there any way that the cookies that get stored from websites, will be transferred to a cloud storage. Like Onedrive, Dropbox, Google Drive etc? It will be a lot of help if it is possible.

The problem occurs with Firefox (which I use a lot) but not with Microsft Edge (which previously I used only rarely). In Firefox: I can still logon, and proceed to see details, but when I enter into a financial transaction I cannot proceed further. Clearing 'Cookies and Site Data', but not 'Cached Web Content', as recommended by Firefox, makes no difference to the problem.

Hey all, I am really getting tired of seeing the "news and interests" pics that pop up from bottom of home page using Firefox. Can I remove, delete or otherwise get RID of it...? I use bing as a home page...maybe that's the problem...LOL...! I just like it because it's simple and uncluttered EXCEPT for those damn pics at the bottom. I can turn them off with the custom control pull down...the 3 bars on the upper right side of bing home page, but after you close FF, the pics just come back...the custom controls for bing home page don't stay locked...! I'm using Windows 10, x64 Home, latest FF updates, only using ABP, BitWarden, as FF Add-ons.

When visiting www.cheathappens.com I am forced to log in every time, which it has never been that way. Then upon log in, every time l click a link on the site I am logged out. The admins of this site say that something is blocking their cookies. I am set up to receive cookies, and have tried totally removing AdBlock Plus, and still no luck. Some users told me they use AdBlock Plus and are not having this issue, as was the case for myself up until about the last couple of months. Any ideas?

I generally have two laptops running constantly throughout the day. On one, I sign in once, maybe twice per day. On the other, it seems I'm signing in anywhere from every 30 minutes to 2 hours. All settings on both Win 10 April Update are exactly the same. Please advise.

I thought that all expired cookies should be deleted automatically by the browser. but that is not the way it happens in my Firefox (same behaviour for different web-sites).

closing Firefox and even reboot of the computer don't help. the only way to remove expired cookies from Firefox is: by hand (which means I have to choose cookie in Privacy Tab of Firefox Options and press button 'Delete cookie').

well, the good news: expired cookies are ignored by the servers (tested with user script through my virtual server) but for unknown reason still continue to be stored idle in Firefox.

Is that the way it should work?

I use Firefox 35.0.1. I set up the options to never keep the cookies.

The issue : I log on an Exchange webmail. I read my emails. I log off from the Exchange webmail. I go back to the mail page of the webmail, and I am logged in !

Other test : I log on an Exchange webmail. I read my emails. I log off from the Exchange webmail. I close Firefox. I re open firefox, I go back to the mail page of the webmail, and I have to enter my credentials (that is normal)

Other test : I log on an Exchange webmail. I read my emails. I log off from the Exchange webmail. I force Firefox to remove the cookies, but I keep Firefox opened. I go back to the mail page of the webmail, and I have to enter my credentials (that is normal)

Other test : I tried to reproduce the issue with another Internet Browser (the "e" one). I log on an Exchange webmail. I read my emails. I log off from the Exchange webmail. I go back to the mail page of the webmail, and I have to enter my credentials.

So, it seems not to be a webmail configuration, as another browser behaves normally.

Is there something that i have not thought about ?

So I reset firefox after it suggested it'd been running slowly, it had been, said passwords, book marks and such would all be saved so I did this, went straight back on and everything seemed fine accept that my new tab pages had been reset to new, but this seemed fine considering bookmarks and passwords were all still there. Come on today and it's applying updates to the plugins, it starts out half fill and after a few mins is still stuck at half so I close it, silly of me perhaps, then load up firefox and it works fine until my homepage is Miniclips... It hasn't been that for a good few years, my bookmarks have also returned to what they were a few years ago, potentially passwords might've as well e.g. all current passwords are lost.

I am new to the forum have posted one question already but now I have discovered another problem. I can't sign out of Mozilla Support. This just started happening today and the only way I can sign out is if I clear the cookies. I have already tried safe mode for Firefox but that didn't work and I can sign out in a different browser like Google Chrome. I am allowing cookies but blocking third party cookies.

If anyone gots any suggestions please help and Thanks in advance.

I have consciously transitioned from Chrome to FF for Privacy reasons, but find myself with a problem now. When i close the browser i have set it to delete all the cookies. I want however to make exceptions for certain sites like i did with Chrome so that when i go back to LinkedIn or YouTube i don't have to go through the 2-step login process which is quite annoying if you have to do that multiple times per day as you can imagine. not having been able to find a definite answer on how to do that (yes, i did read multiple support articles) i turn to you to for help Is there a whitelist option to handle exceptions per domain for deleting cookies?

i have done everything listed here so many times and nothing is fixing this. Made sure cookies were enabled, cleared cache and cookies, made sure Gmail was approved in security settings, and then as a last ditch effort, I disabled all add-ons for Firefox and still no Gmail... I was so desperate that I even re-installed ff-19 and still cannot get into my email account. What is going on here? Any help or small nudge in the correct direction would be much appreciated!

It appears that most sites get my location from Mozilla Firefox. It is constantly incorrect and moves around. Today it was someplace in Texas and I live in Ohio. This is a desktop computer and doesn't move. I have set it on several sites and I don't delete my cookies but somewhere along the line it gets changed. It appears it gets changed in my Mozilla Firefox. I know you go off the dsl location or something but it just doesn't work. Even when it gets me in Ohio it's constantly a different city. How can I get a permanent location in Mozilla Firefox or disable the location finder in Mozilla Firefox?

When I go to any website the cookies for the website are automatically allowed. I no longer have the ability to 'allow', 'allow for session', or block a cookie when I first go to a website. I used to be able to do so.

Tools->Options->Privacy->History is set to 'use custom settings for history'. I've never allowed third party cookies.

This has happened on 6 XP PCs. I hope this is not an 'enhancement'.

As annoying as it may have been at times the option (ask every time) afforded by Firefox is one of the main reasons I have used this browser for so long. I learned many years ago that careful control and editing of cookies contributes greatly to the health of my computers. For instance I still use a box with Win2000Pro and Firefox for certain functions. Had I know the latest version had dropped the option I would not have allowed the update. I was suspect when several web launches from emails did not open the dialog today. As of now I have yet to see any explanation from Mozilla as to why this feature was omitted and have to side with some uses about possibly looking for another non IE option. A shame for as stated above my loyalty has been with FF for quite some time.

Feeling very very frustrated. I haven't deleted my history, cookies or cache in probably a year or more. I've now deleted just the cookies and cache (over 1gb worth) and everytime I go to a website, I have to keep signing back in to those accounts. The accounts are NOT saving my login details.

My location in eBay keeps changing. It doesn't matter how many times I change it just resets to an old postcode. I removed this address from my eBay account, and I've cleared cookies in Mozilla but it keeps resetting. I've tried signing out of my Mozilla account and reinstalling Mozilla but it is still doing it. I'm pretty sure that Mozilla has stored the address somewhere but I have no idea how to get rid of it. It's been like this for two years now.
