A recent Firefox upgrade eliminated my toolbar "History" Icon. I want it back. Please do not suggest a three stroke keyboard alternative. Thank you.

FireFox assumes that text size is the same for all pages in a domain, rferl.org for example. That is _not_ true. If I have set size to 50% and then take a link to a page that's different and have to set size to 67% to read it, when I return to the original page, size is 67% and text is too large.

McAfee malware has entered the firefox browser a couple of days ago claiming viruses have been detected & requires me to click on their popup to remove it. Additional warning follow and reoccur every couple of minutes. I don’t have McAfee Anti-virus software on my computer & have not installed any new software for some time. The anti-software I have works fine (Spybot & Microsoft Security Essentials) and detects no problems. The first application I initiate upon boot-up each morning is Firefox and that’s when the problem begins. It is somehow related to Firefox. I cannot find any processes in play.

I can open Chrome with no problems (however, Chrome no longer supports Windows 7. I’m using Windows 7 Pro. I tried all the free malware scanning programs suggested but nothing found.

I cannot find any link to Firefox Desktop Support as you suggested. Can you please forward this email to that support team.

I have F-Secure Internet Security installed. Browsing Protection by F-Secure says Security application not found, but it is installed. I've followed countless links, difficult to even find solution articles in either Firefox help or F-sure website. Inside F-secure settings a setup page takes me to the 'install add on' page, but it is installed! Allow automatic updates - on. Run in Private Windows - allowed. Run on sites with restrictions - allowed. Updates checked for. Permissions:

   Access your data for all web sites
   Exchange messages with programs other than Firefox
   Monitor extension usage and manage themes
   Access browser tabs
   Access browser activity during navigation

All ticked. Don't understand debugging tool.

Whose idea was it to popup a Firefox promotion window while I was working on a text? The popup took me out of the page where I was working, Google Voice. I am struggling, doing this with one hand while the other is in an Ace bandage with an ice pack on top. This was a needless interruption!

Keep getting pop-ups from networkrush.co.in and speednetworkdevice.co.in both of which are identified as malware. Any way to block them?

Hello Firefox community and thank you for your time and effort. Let me begin by saying I used to have this same issue with MS operating systems until I said goodbye to MS and went to Linux on one laptop and got a Mac for streaming and graphics. Here is the issue: MS had so many background processes running constantly, regardless of what I was using the machine for, that I regularly experienced crashes, warnings and slowed responses on my Windows machines. No matter how vigilant I was about settings and stopping processes and keeping system clean, I would regularly have to replace the fan on my machines as the constant overheating would eventually kill the fans. That has not been a problem since I made that switch away from MS. Until now. I keep clean machines and keep them updated religiously. But with the latest few Firefox updates the problem is now back on both my Linux built Lenovo and my MacBook Pro, especially the Mac. That regularly shuts down after an hour of streaming use. When I hear the fan constantly struggling and feel the machines heating up I check the background processes and find that Firefox has at least four running processes eating up resources. Force stop does not fix the resource hogging; by the time it is apparent and I respond the machine is already overheated and shuts itself down. Last night I started searching and found a (very) recent thread about this same issue. Most of the participants were attributing it to recent updates. If this is the case is there any effort to fix this? I would hate to have this issue completely destroy my older (but still heavily relied upon) MacBook with this constant mechanical challenge since I cannot afford to replace it. Please can you fix this problem. It is an old and exhausting struggle I thought I would not have to deal with again. If my assumption of the source of the problem is inaccurate do you have any suggestions? Thanks again, Jerri

A couple of months ago I discovered that I no longer have the ability to edit, delete, or dismiss a shortcut from the home page of my desktop. I did read that the 3 dots will appear if I hover over a shortcut. I tried that several times on different shortcuts but the 3 dots never appeared. Is there another way to edit, delete, or dismiss a shortcut? Or even better is there a way to restore the 3 dots?

I cleared my cookies, cache, history and data like I was told to when I connected a new router so all of my shortcuts have changed. A few that are there now I don't want and I do want to add several new ones.

For years I have used Firefox as my preferred internet browser, and most of the time it's OK. Recently, however, when trying to log on to my bank accounts, I get the message "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." How do I do this? In the meantime I am using another browser and can log on successfully there.

Hi, I don't know if this is a problem or not, but my Inbox says I have 2 unread messages but I can't seem to find them. They usually show up in bold to alert me that they are unread, but I cannot find these messages at all and don't know where to look for them. This happened once before and I discovered that they were embedded in a thread that someone had replied to but didn't show up to where I could easily see it. I had to search through all my threads to find it. I am only having this problem on my computer running Windows 11. My ipad shows everything as being read. Any help would b appreciated. Thank you,

Just lately after decade plus of using Firefox I am getting computer hung up, nothing running but Firefox with 7 tabs open. That is how I been running FF for years, same 7 tabs open and no problems until a coupler months ago. I am on Windows 10 64 bit current with May updates, 12GB main memory, Intel Core i5 @ 3.20GHz, 500 GB WD HDD. The task manager right now is showing 49 FF processes running. All is well right now, but maybe by end of day or tomorrow it will hang up. Right now Virtual memory is set at 14838. I have it set at automatic manage paging file. My hard drive has 281 GB free space. Below is a warning error I see when FF hangs and sends in a report.

BTW I am on FF 126.0

All of a sudden, my pages appear in Spanish. When I go to the Translate Page tab and change it from Spanish to English, part of the page still appears in Spanish.

The default language is English, so I don't know how or why it's coming up in Spanish.

When I am on YouTube's website if I click (or right click) and of the other YouTube video links Every link on the page opens up. This doesn't happen if a use any other browser.

Firefox browser not working right. I can change about 3 screens than it just spins back & forth it wont chage half to close & open back up to get it to change crome dont do that & the slide bar on side dont work when you change screens wont go back to top poor service fixing it

This is an utterly bizarre issue, and I don't know if it's my fault. On most web page I go to, when typing in an input field, each time I press A, whatever my mouse cursor is hovering over is clicked. This is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I may be searching google when I'm redirected back to the google home page. I might be typing in duolingo when the question is suddenly submitted and I am marked incorrect. It's a major inconvenience and I have no clue what could be causing it. It's only in firefox, not any other browser. It's only in web pages themselves, not in the url bar.

I am not referring to anything regarding YouTube. This issue is with my Firefox web browser. When I long onto frequently used web pages parts of the page are no longer visible. What causes this and how do I fix this?

Up until a month ago, I was able to download gifs from the giphy.com as actual GIFs. What has changed in Firefox and how can I troubleshoot this so I can get the desired file format of GIF?
