I always had one version of Firefox installed. I regularly update the software via Help >> About Still, after every update, I am getting multiple versions of Firefox listed at [Settings/Installed Apps] and [Control Panel/Uninstall or remove apps] on my Win11 23H2 22631.3593 (screenshot attached).

In order to get rid of outdated items from the list, I need to reinstall Firefox completely, but the same thing is happening with every update of Firefox.

Is there a way to resolve this and why is this happening?

Hello! My name is Anya. I am desperately trying to manage my social media addiction and to help support that I am wondering if its possible to disable the privacy window. I know I can install a website blocker - which I have, but it does not apply to the private window so I have full access to social media on it, I just have to log in. I want to COMPLETELY block Facebook and Instagram off of my laptop. Is this possible? Thank you!

Using the shortcut Ctrl + Cmd + Space is suppose to open the Emoji panel, however it disappear instantly.

I have already heard that this could happen if you download FF in a specific language and then change it to another language (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1563862). I have deinstalled everything and reinstalled without changing the language, and it still don't work properly.

I'm a swiss french user, so my keyboard is configured for "French - Swiss" and Firefox is in French.

How do I turn on autofill in firefox 125/126? There are help pages that say go to settings>privacy> and turn autofill on. But there is no autofill mentioned anywhere in that page. The only reference that autofill comes up with when typed in the search bar in settings is in import settings. How is this so difficult to enable, its basic functionality 10 years ago. I've also tried going to extensions.formautofill.supportedCountries and extensions.formautofill.addresses.supportedCountries and adding my country (why this is a thing is bizarre as well).

When I open Firefox, it is only a quarter of the browser in the right-upper quarter of the screen. How can I make it so the browser opens fully in the entire screen.

control + UP (arrow) is documented to "go to top of page". That has broken as of 126.0 And, for some reason I don't remember, I found that using "HOME" in the past was also problematic.

How do I report something as "b roken" to firefox and do you agree it is broken?

I was in the middle of asking this question when I fixed (worked around) the problem so I'm posting more as a informative post as there is a lot of old misdirection out there now.

I am(was) unable to drag any URLs from the URI drop down field in the main interface to my bookmarks toolbar. Nor was any drag and drop functionality working in the "Customise Firefox" screen (right click space on url bar -> Customise Toolbar).

I have now found that resetting my zoom setting in preferences to 100% restores this functionality. The problem arose when I was using 120% zoom, NOT text only.

Hello, I've chatted with the creators of the add on "Twitter X Ad Blocker" and asked why it isn't working any more. They told me they have an update made and ready but you have not approved it yet. What will it take to get you to approve the update so this will work again?

I have all my passwords stored on Firefox on my macbook pro. When I follow the instructions to sync my passwords on the Firefox app on my phone, it keeps rejecting my primary password, saying it is incorrect. I have deleted the app and re-installed it on my phone, but it still does not work. Why will my account not open on my iphone app? Thank you!

After up grading to a Mac Studio running Os 14.5, I downloaded the latest Firefox 126.0. I have three other computers with Firefox. The oldest a Mac Pro running 10.13.6 Hi Sierra that works flawlessly. I tried sync and bookmarks came over to the Mac Studio but not any passwords. I tried importing via a .csv file and got the message: Import complete New passwords added: 0 Existing entries updated: 0 Duplicate entries found: 0 Errors 190 (not imported)

Firefox will NOT even save manually entered passwords. I suspect some problem with Sonoma's paranoid security but I cannot find a solution. Any suggestions?

i'm missing some of the default search engines in the bar ebay and amazon. i hit the button "restore default search engines" in setting to try and fix it no luck. only give me back wikipedia, bing, duckduckgo but not amazon and ebay two sites i visit a lot.

this been happening to me for the past year and every time i had to go in the c drive and delete the mozilla folders and reinstall firefox to get them back. then use it after a month or two later they disappeared for no reason. this only happens on my desktop and not my laptop how do i make this stop happening?

Every day on the second or third tab the website will not load. If I open firefox again the site will load immediately. These can be bookmarked sites previously used one million times or linked sites embedded in a current tab. Your support pages have not helped. I'm about to ditch Firefox MS Edge!

I am on a mailing list from the Smithsonian Magazine. I receive a daily email containing links to interesting stories. The links work and take me to the correct page, however, I am unable to scroll the page up to read the article. They used to scroll, but not now when I go there by clicking a link in the email. The email also contains a link named View in Browser, and the email appears in Firefox and I can scroll the email, but if I click on a link in that email displayed in the browser, the page still will not scroll up. Problem not present in Chrome or Edge. I previously reported this to Mozilla in Feedback and to the Smithsonian about 2 weeks ago, but still no change in his strange behavior. Firefox 126.0.1 (64 bit)

I'm an instructor that uses Blackboard at college. When I click in the text entry box to enter my grades, I'm given a list of previously entered grades to choose from. The list is in ascending order. Is there any way to get this list in descending order? One other point, until recently it used to display the value that was used most often at the top, which was often 100. Now it's in ascending order. I've attached a snippet of what I mean.

I just did a clean install on a new windows 11 machine. Every time I close Firefox I get a report crash screen from Firefox. When I close it and restart Firefox everything is fine, but very annoying! I have search every where with no luck for a fix. I did turn off my FSecure which made no difference If it continues I guess after all these years I will have to change browsers,which I don't want to do.

Typing "handshake.com" in the toolbar takes me to "https://www.shopify.com/blog/wholesale-suppliers#" instead of searching or going to handshake.com .....WTAF?! Consistently.

Also, why is it so hard to report the issue? I know Mozilla is a nonprofit, but there was literally no way at all to just report the problem? All I can do is message a volunteer? Feels broken. Thank you.

Hello, I have a problem: After an automatic update of the language packs, parts of the Firefox menu (version 126.0) are displayed in EN. Parts in DE. Seems to be related to the update... how can I change this again? I have already changed the language settings. Didn't help...it appeared after an automatic update on May 28. Thanks for an idea :)

I have installed the German language extension. I can go to a site written in German and it translates fine. THE SECOND I USE ANY SUB MENU WITHIN THE SITE, IT DOES NOT TRANSLATE. Right clicking and choosing "Translate" does not work since "translate" does not exist on the tab.

The Firefox translate feature only works on the initial screen!

I can find no setting to fix this
