Hi,

For some time now, when I download a .pptx, .xlsx og .docx Firefox changes the file format to .pdf when downloading the file. I then have to manually choose the correct app for opening the file, overrule error messages and delete the ".pdf" when re-saving the file even though it recognises it is not really a pdf file.

I've tried to change the Firefox settings, clearing cache, restarting or deleting in config and other small attempts to reboot whatever suddenly started to cause this problem. As far as I can see, it is not an unknown issue, but I've not yet been able to find a solution to my problem, which is getting on my nerves.

basically just the title. In the last couple days youtube.com specifically has been borderline unusable for me on firefox. All other websites work fine for me on firesfox and youtube has no issues on other browsers.

I have looked into settings but found no solution to this issue. Web search results are completely irrelevant to this issue as well. Haven't been able to find a fix for this.

I've recently installed 127.0 (64-bit) and although I've set browser.download.start_downloads_in_tmp_dir to true, and rebooted my PC, I still don't get the 'Open With' pop-up - the file goes directly into Downloads.

I'm on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (jammy jellyfish).

Please advise me what I'm doing wrong.

Corel asked me to do a screen shot of the issue: Attached When I look at the changed screen, There is an icon infront of the Web address line that looks like a robot. When I rollover it this statement comes up: Browser is under remote control reason (Dev Tools) All of the address bar is inpink. daThis is still frustrating. I do not like to use the browser when something else appears to be in control. I have MacAFee and run a scan but nothing shows up? If developers are following my browser, I should beable to turn this off.

I'm having problems logging into any/all Wordpress dashboards following the latest Firefox (V127) update. The 'verifying' screen continues to cycle but doesn't produce the login screen. I can get them to work in Troubleshooting Mode. This also works when the 'New Tab Override' Add-on is disabled too. I've tried ALL of the recommended custom tab plugins with the same results, so it suggests a common incompatibility.

Have cleared cookies and browser cache. WP login works on all other browsers.

Would be grateful for any help and/or suggestions.

Hello, I was reading an article a few weeks ago, but this content was removed or moved into some other space but I need to use it once again. Is there a possibility to open the same page from my firefox history / cache?

FF just updated to 127. Every time I open it I get the whole intro shebang about migrating, extensions, etc. When I finally get to "Start Browsing" none of my tabs or bookmarks will load. I have cleared the cache, tried reinstall and no change. What's next, please?

After updating to last Mozilla Firefox version (126.0.1) all my ngx-datatable tables are overlapping all rows over the first one even if the entire height of the table is correct calculated.

This is a blocking point. I need assistance urgently.

When i am trying to open up an external protocol there is a small delay between when the popup opens and when i can open the link i would like to disable this delay but dont know how to. Thanks in advance

Im using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Intel cpu I7 9th gen NVIDIA gpu but i disabled it My problem is that the Picture in Picture mode isnt sticky if i press anything it vanishes from view.

I am using Firefox 126.0 under Windows 10.

I am trying to add search engines to the search toolbar. (Just to be clear, this is the search box that appears below the address bar, not the address bar itself.)

I followed the instructions here. That worked fine for Wikipedia, Google Maps and YouTube. Then I tried to add Amazon UK. The Amazon icon is now present in the search box, but when I select it, I see this message:

Firefox could not download the search plugin from: https://d2lo25i6d3q8zm.cloudfront.net/browser-plugins/AmazonSearchSuggestionsOSD.Firefox.xml

I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.

(I also tried adding it from Settings > Search > Search Shortcuts, but Amazon does not appear on that list of search engines [unlike on my other computer]. I clicked "Find more search engines", but that brought up a list of 5,192 extensions, most of which seemed not be related to searching.)

I have noticed a few websites will go to blank pages. Today, while trying to log into my Microsoft account, I was able to enter the login id and then the password, but when I went to enter the website I arrived at a blank page. I tried the control-shift-R fix, from this website, but it was of no value.

How can I change the defalt filename of inserted image from clipboard? I use firefox with local interface language but I don't want it to influence on filename of inserted images. I don't wanna give any clues in work chats, forums etc. which language I use in my browser.

When I open a bookmark folder and right-click on the 7th item down I cannot select Open in New Tab because the context menu is jammed up against the top of the screen (I believe it is called the Title Bar where resides the date and some of the system menus,) and the Open in New Tab at the top of the context menu is present, will not highlight and cannot be selected with the mouse.

I have used Firefox to access my Zoom accoutnfor several years. Today, the screen goes blank when I click on sign-in. This does not happen with other browsers on my PC. Help....
