Question to LGE CQE :

I asked LG electronics firstly for typed words on firefox preview is black masked. (After finishing a black masked word, If I type press space bar, formal word is shown normally)

Answer from LGE Dev team :

Play in the store firefox preview nightly to install. Firefox, access to google.com. You can see the symptoms such as video, input characters from a box google.

Depending on the keyboard input shown underlined when characters in the area when removing and underlined often show.

By removing its first Korean and English on the keyboard input is underlined ..

Remove the problem is underlined in return path the keyboard, and when the showing.

Japanese input, in its keyboard input method of showing it underlined the special nature. Input, not a problem occurs in the Japanese in return path.

This phenomenon is not come from our LGE keyboard app. When keyboard app (showing typed word after removing underbar) is used, Firefox has a problem.

Please contact the app developer.

As said in the title. I want the link in a new tab. I do not want to select the link text. I long press to try and open the context menu on the link, but Firefox selects the link text instead.

With old Firefox for Android, I can just zoom in slightly, and suddenly it's easy. New Firefox Preview doesn't do pinch to zoom everywhere, so I can't work around the issue in that way.

So how can I consistently open links in a new tab? I don't want to be fumbling around trying to *not* select the link text every time. And opening links in new tabs is my second most common UI interaction, below 'scroll' but above 'search/enter url in new tab' and 'close tab'.

Tabs being lost when Firefox closed (Developer Nightly)

Good evening,

I've got an issue which I would have usually raised as a bug in bugzilla, but I'm finding it difficult to find the correct place to file it.

There is an issue where not all of the open tabs are being remembered when the browser is closed and reopened. This happens most often when I've opened a bunch of tabs from the Google news stream. Sometimes when I right swipe to go back, the next time I open Firefox those tabs are not always open. It doesn't lose all of the tabs just the most recent ones. The fact that I visited the page is recorded in the history, so I can reopen the page from there but it shouldn't be happening.

This is on a Pixel 2 XL running Android 10 with 5 February 2020 patches and Firefox Preview version:

Nightly 200307 06:00 (Build #2015727155) 36.0.0, db07d45dd GV: 75.0a1-20200306094739 AS: 0.53.0

Kind regards

Ian

Hi, Really liking the Firefox preview for android. I've switched over from Google (chrome mainly) due to a bug in their sync feature which caused me to lose everything.(300+ passwords, bookmarks etc) Now I'm going through all the websites I used and resetting my passwords to use Firefoxs password manager I was on a..Live cam website one where you can CHAT and BATE specifically, and the videos are incredibly laggy and slow. Chrome,Edge etc work perfectly. Any suggestions?

Also is it possible to change the hold duration to something a bit shorter? For example holdings a link to open in a new tab

Cheers!

If you install for example Edge or Opera and long press on some text in Firefox you get (in the case of Opera) a "Search privately" instead of Search with Firefox (it has become hidden in the overflow menu).

Is this something Firefox allows or is it Android? To me this is a takeover of another app which Google doesn't allow so I'm guessing it is either an Android built-in feature or in Firefox. Makes me want to instantly uninstall both Firefox and the browser taking over the menu.

Could someone shed some light on this?

On numerous websites I am unable to click "Next" or any of the other navigation buttons that are available. If I want to move forward I must long press the button to "Open in a new tab". This problem does not occur in Private Browsing mode or when I use other Android browsers to view the site.

I have a suspicion it has to do with one of the uBlock filters, but I have no idea how to narrow it down without exposing my device to all the stuff I was blocking before.

I'm still trying to understand how to use the uBlock "My filters", "My rules", & "Whitelist" functions.

I'm including pictures of my uBlock settings and filters list along with my version of Firefox for Android.

Thank you to anyone who reads this, and especially to anyone who can help me fix this minor issue.

Hello, I am an avid user of Firefox Preview Nightly for Developers on Android and have used it for many months now. Recently for about the past month I have had constant crashes every single time the app is opened(usually through the Google app), that never used to happen. I understand the times where it happens for a day or two since it's a Nightly beta build, but this particular issue has never been patched. What can I do to help you get the information you need to fix this, and if that is no an option, then what can I do to better understand the cause of this? I am a software developer so I am happy to do any testing or send any logs I can, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with the latest software version and using version "Nightly 200524 06:01"
