Get this error message I think since the update on September 2nd. See below

Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. Also, I downloads a few old emails from September 2. If I delete them, they re-download when I click on get mail. I do get mail on my phone and on the Xfinity web site. I have used Mozilla Thunderbird for decades, and never had much problems. My e-mail server is online.no and has been for the same amount of time. Lately (for several month), I have noted that the program has problems fetching new e-mails. I can enter my e-mail account on the web, and see there several new e-mails in the inbox, and even though I press "Get Messages" on Thunderbird, they are not fetched. If I start looking at them on the web, delete some and move around, they sometimes arrive all of them, but not always. It seems they just arrive once every 24 hours, even though I have set up Thunderbird to check once a minute. There are never any error messages or anything. What can the issue be ? It has not been like this earlier.

Today in two of my accounts I get error message "Unable to open the summary file for Inbox on imapML. Perhaps there was an error on disk, or the full path is too long." Two other accounts work fine so no error on disk, and full path hasn't changed.

While trying to retrieve new messages for one of my email accounts, I keep getting the message "Login to server xxx.xxx.xxx with username xxx@xxx.xxx failed."

I click the "Enter New Password" button and enter the same password that I use to successfully login to the account on a browser, and it STILL fails and keeps showing the same message box.

This started happening this morning. Have others reported this problem? What do I need to check to see if there is a problem in either Thunderbird or in my email account settings?

While I am a management consultant and do not understand how to code and develop software beyond the most surface levels, I wish to contribute this idea towards development of Thunderbird.

One of the most important components of an email client is the editor. There have been many requests for changes in the Thunderbird mail editor in the past. I wish to propose a strategic solution to this issue.

The solution that I offer is that this team of independent contributors builds a word processor like Microsoft Word, does so under the umbrella of Thunderbird, so that there are no copyright issues in using that editor for composing email in Thunderbird, and uses that editor as a stand alone editor as well as an editor for composing emails within Thunderbird.

I am not aware if the Linux Word Processing Editor can be used for Thunderbird as a sharing between two community software initiatives, but that aspect can also be explored by talking directly to Linux.

Stopped reciving any mail and down loads same email over and over and doesnt get new mail. That on top of it just stopped working

It Stopped working. It want take in new email it down loads the same email over and over. Also it just want work like it did basically stopped working. reloading it only puts it back to where it is now. Ever thing goes through Thunderbird and not sure if I was hacked or what Card payments saying late and all kind of things having to contact banks and insurance com. etc to find out what is going on. will I have to have a complete removal and complete reinstall then fix it to where a hacker can't get back in?

Hi, I've read all I can find with regard to 'Threading' but still can't separate all the emails into separate emails. I can't find anything that explains exactly how to switch it off, or how to remove threading from emails already in a thread. I've tried every combination of On, Off, Compact etc. all with no effect. Please explain exactly how to get rid of this damn nuisance. The previous version was much better.

I just installed Thunderbird on Windows 11 and find that the text used for the Message List and Folder List is too small for me. But changing the font settings does not appear to impact the text size for these two areas, even after restarting.

Am I stuck? Or is there a way to increase the font size of folder lists and message lists?
