Bold formatting is missing new messages located in Messages Pane, and Folders Pane after upgrading to OSX Monterey 12.0.1 I have upgraded thunderbird to version 91.2.1 but nothing got fixed. I have no Add ons installed in Thunderbird. I suspect the issue is related to the new SF PRO system font.

Any hint ?

For legal reasons, I need to retain a copy locally of all my messages since my mailhost was purchased by another company and they now limit us to 1 GB per email address. Previously I didn't worry about it as there were no limits on mail storage space. I've thoroughly gone through the article on synchronizing messages on the server with messages stored locally on my machine. I cannot get Thunderbird to behave the way it is described in the article. I've tried both checking the box to store all messages locally and the advanced method of selecting folders (and I select everything except spam and junk). The only thing stored locally is what was stored when I initially copied the Inbox (on the server) to Local. All of that synced properly Any changes such as new messages, messages moved to different folders, etc. do not appear in Local. I have tried closing and reopening Thunderbird in hopes that it will work like the article states, that Thunderbird will check the server for changes and save them locally. Alas, it does not.

Did I incorrectly set this up? Do I need to initiate some kind of copy of new or moved to another folder emails? Or something else? I'm reasonably software savvy but this one is eluding me. I am urgently looking for a solution since my mailhost is pressuring me to pay large sums to retain my emails. Thanks very much for any solutions or suggestions

I have a number of message filters in TB 91.2.1. For some reason, a couple of them have stopped working. The emails being filtered are from groups.io accounts. They are filtered to identify the sender and move the messages to another folder.

One of them does not work at all anymore. It simply leaves the messages in the original inbox. The second, according to the Filters Log, is being moved but does not show up in the folder it was "moved" to. It also, however, many times does nothing.

The filters work if I apply them manually - not the desired method. And, according to the log and the results I see in my inboxes, all other filters are working correctly.

This started about one week ago. Prior to that, filtering worked perfectly.

I'm using Firefox 93 on Macbook air and Firefox 93.2 on Android 11 (Samsung S10). I’ve synced all passwords and logins and can view them on both devices. ‘Autofill in Firefox’ and ‘Autofill in other apps’ are both on. But, when logging in to apps on the Samsung, autofill doesn’t work. Even if I fill in my email address, there is no password suggestion. Instead, a small dropdown message appears: ‘unlock Firefox’. It isn’t active, and doesn’t open anything when I tap on it. Result: I have to go looking for the passwords and fill them in manually. I hope there’s a solution. Thanks for your help

Since the new Thunderbird update (installed last night), I can't open PDF attachments when I am sending a new message. I can open them in my inbox or sent folder, but not when I am writing a new email. When I attach them and click it, the PDF used to open and I could confirm it was the correct document. Now it does not have the option to open with PDF readers, just internet, office, notepad, etc. I checked the account settings/preferences and the "open with Acrobat Reader" option is selected for PDFs.

Is this a glitch in the update or is there a fix for it in the settings that I have not seen so far?

FF 93.0 64-bit - Windows 10

When I booted up the system and ran FF the first time for the day, its window opened, and it even asked for the primary password. After that, nothing I typed in the URL box came out. I could open new tabs but not able to switch to them. All Chromium-based browsers and Edge in the same system worked fine.

I did the following trying to fix the problem: I restarted Win10 and ran FF93. Same problem. I restarted using Troubleshooting Mode. Same problem. I reinstalled using the complete package. Same problem. I installed using FF92 and FF91. Same problem. I refreshed FF93 using Troubleshooting Mode. Same problem. I used Win10 Safe Mode to run FF93. It worked. I uninstalled FF93, removed as much as I could all traces of FF and Mozilla in the Win registry, and reinstalled FF93. Same problem.

In the end, I had to use Win10 Recovery and revert to an earlier date to fix it.

The first incident happened about two weeks ago. It happened again this morning. My use of PC has been routine for years, I would say for more than a decade, or at least in the last five years. No extraordinary applications or routines.

BTW, I haven't updated my Win10 in years, because doing so often times gave me new mysterious issues to troubleshoot, courtesy of MS. You should very well know Win updates produce issues, and the bug fixes following them produce even more. The annoying thing is I would research on the issues and find out later (sometimes days) that the updates were the culprits.

This is the second time it happened to my FF93, and I feel I have to report this to get some idea about why this is happening (only to me?) and how to fix or prevent it without having to go into Recovery (again?).

After an address and subject and content are entered, clicking the Send button has no effect, in the application or the error console. I've seen other posts about send and address book issues with 91.2, but their error messages are different from what I'm seeing. Thank you!

Podczas użytkowania, Mozilla Firefox niespodziewanie się zamknęła. Pojawiła się możliwość przywrócenia sesji (co zostało zaprezentowane na dołączonym zrzucie ekranu). Zależy mi, by po wciśnięciu przycisku ,,Przywróć sesję", wszystkie przywrócone karty otworzyły się bez odświeżania, czyli innymi słowy, by otwarte w tych kartach strony internetowe nie zostały odświeżone. Niektóre strony internetowe po odświeżeniu nie będą już aktywne bądź nie będą już posiadały informacji, które są mi niezbędne do dalszej pracy, dlatego zależy mi, by odzyskać je w takim stanie, w jakim były one przed nieoczekiwanym zamknięciem Mozilli Firefox, gdyż jest to sytuacja, która nie wynika z mojej winy tylko z zaistniałej awarii Mozilli Firefox. Proszę o odpowiedź, co należy zrobić (np. co zmienić w ustawieniach przeglądarki Mozilla Firefox lub gdziekolwiek indziej), by przywracając sesję, karty nie zostały odświeżone. Hello, A folder titled 'Old Firefox Data' keeps appearing on my desktop. I googled when it orginally happened and after reading the help articles decided deleting it was alright. I had refreshed Firefox and wasn't concerned about deleting anything important. Now everytime I restart my computer a new folder with the same name appears. This wasn't happening before and doesn't seem normal. Thanks!

What's going on with the latest version of Firefox Focus? Since updating to this new version, any shortcut I have on my tablet homepage now opens 3 identical Firefox Focus pages when selected. I close out all the windows, and try again, same thing happens. The old version never did anything like that. Thinking the update didn't install properly, I uninstalled Firefox and did a fresh install thru Google Play. Same thing happens.

Hi, I dual boot Debian 11 and Windows 10 and have Thunderbird installed in each. I have never had problems with email discrepancies between the two installs. But today I performed a major prune operation on the Debian installation, I deleted lots of mails and attachments that were taking up space. Sometimes I deleted the entire email, sometimes I kept the email but deleted the attachments from within the email-reading window. I did this both in inbox and sent.

You can see this account (underlined in red to the left in the image below). After the pruning/compacting the inbox was 326MB (down from 1.1 GB). I then booting Windows 10 and started Thunderbird whereupon syncing occurred to reflect my pruning. At this stage the number of emails in inbox and sent were the same in both Debian and Windows.

But when, after emptying trash and compacting folders in the Windows install, I go to wonder at all the saved hard drive space in Windows I notice that the account's corresponding folder seems the be two folders+subfolders instead of one (red underline). There are two inboxes, two sent, two of everything. One inbox file (green underline) matches exactly in size the size of the inbox on Debian, but the other one (green dotted) in hugely inflated. And searching the two inbox files (green underline/dotted) in the Windows install at random for emails still existing after the prune in my Debian inbox they show up in both of the Windows inbox files.

I see the same thing for another two accounts as well.

What is going on here?

I am constantly unable to access websites. My data seems to clog up. I'm in my 70's and have no patience or training for sifting though numerous fixes and possible solutions. I've done my best with no improvement. My husband is having the same issues on his computer. All my previous efforts erase my sign ins and require me to constantly enter new sign in information for my common websites. I can use Safari and Chrome without these issues so unless I get some form of personalized help that doesn't require a great deal of technological skill, I'm leaving this browser greatly disappointed in the lack of support.

How can I split an address list into two or more different lists in Thunderbird? I can't copy multiple email addresses from one list and paste them in another list, and I can't copy the entire list into a new location in the address list "tree". There should be a way to copy the list without having to retype each email address in the new list.

I need to split an address list so the recipient count is lower. My emails for an organization that I'm editor for are getting blocked or dumped by certain recipient email programs, and I'm suspecting that the recipient count is large enough to make the receiving email host think that the emails are spam.

One subfolder that I have used for years in Thunderbird disappeared without warning. I use Win 10 and Thunderbird 91.2.1 (32-bit) on a 64-bit CPU. I wanted to move an email from one account to the local folder only to discover that the top folder and all below it were missing. I have no idea how this happened. I do know that the contents of the folder were important to me and difficult to impossible to recreate. What can I do now?
