I recorded USB webcam pictures with MJPG_streamer and converted them to mp4 using

  ffmeg -r 20 -pattern_type glob -i "*.jpg" -c:v libx264 test.mp4

Firefox complains "video can't be played because the file is corrupt" Google Chrome and VLC have no problems playing the file.

What options for ffmpeg do I need to create the mp4 files so that firefox can play them?

How can I create mailing lists and use them. I checked on the internet. In mzl.la/1Go7VOo you describe a possibility which does not work, because File does not have option for New > mailing list. When I originally, years back transferred my address book to Thunderbird I had mailing lists, which were 'erased when Thunderbird synced with my Google gmail account. Please help. I really need to create mailing lists for my research work. Thanks

How can I create mailing lists and use them. I checked on the internet. In mzl.la/1Go7VOo you describe a possibility which does not work, because File does not have option for New > mailing list. When I originally, years back transferred my address book to Thunderbird I had mailing lists, which were 'erased when Thunderbird synced with my Google gmail account. Please help. I really need to create mailing lists for my research work. Thanks. I will be glad to donate once I get an answer what to do.

Hello! In our company we use Thunderbird as main mail agent. And we use Yandex as main mail server, log in through OAuth2 protocol. After some recent Thunderbird update we got an issue. Somesing go wrong with redirecting inside the Thunderbird. At least that's what they said in Yandex.It won't log you in after click on "Log in as..." button. Instead it shows other screen of Yandex services (added image) got nothing in common with loggig in.

I finally updated my iMac to Big Sur (11.7.4). Thunderbird (102.9.0) "works" OK, but the inbox message list is, like, invisible. That is, the list is there, but it cannot be seen. I can click on any line of the invisible list, and that message is called up in the message pane, like normal. This makes it very hard to find any particular past email -- I've got to click on each line of the invisible inbox message list, one after the other, just to see what it is. Any fix for this? Thanks!

BTW, the sent mail message list shows up like normal.

With the recent update to Thunderbird I am getting the following error when I click on a link that will take me to the internet for information.

In a window I get

Choose Application Choose an application to open the HTTP link

When I click on the tab for the application it searches for an application (*.exe;*.com) that is not there.

Please assist me, I will even allow remote access to better resolve this headache!

Since the update a few days ago, Firefox is crashing and some sites such as Trust Pilot, do not work at all on Firefox. I know it is Firefox because it works fine with Chrome. Even Google Search does not work right.

What is the problem?

While I know emails can't disappear altogether in T/Bird - although they seem to - I can't understand what happens to them and how they are actually stored. For instance when I can't find an email in any of my in-box, trash, all mail, or important folders, I can do a search, find the email which the search tells me is in one of these folders and provides the date and time and where it is - but it isn't there! Can you advise me just how the email storage system works? Thanks

Hi, I have spent 10 hours looking. I am using the Portable version of Thunderbird. 102.9.0 (32-bit) Have been for years. In the Profile folder, there is a folder named “Mail”. G:\Thunderbird Portable\Data\profile\Mail\ In the mail folder there are a lot of entries like, “pop.gmail-1.com”, “pop.gmx-1.com”, “pop.googlemail-1.com”, ‘pop3.live.com”, “pop-mail.outlook-1.com’. There are a lot of entries that were left behind from long removed accounts.

Is it safe to remove these entries? Should I? I am in the process of removing and restoring my accounts.

I have 3 IMAP email addresses in Thunderbird, 2 of which work perfectly, with Sent emails being stored in the relevant account's 'Sent' folder. The third, however, 'loses' its Sent emails somewhere between two 'Sent' folders in an additional "Local Folder" (which I neither asked for nor want) or disappears completely, leaving me with no record of the sent email! I have checked the box to "copy email to address>sent" (as I have done for all 3 accounts). I would really prefer to get rid of the 'Local Folder' group as I have no use for it, but how at least do I get TB to do the same basic housekeeping for all 3 accounts? I have the dreaded Windows 11 installed.

im getting unknown issuer on my thin-clients with a FF ESR 45.9.0. This FF is tied to the OS (Ubuntu 16.04) and the OS is the most recent compatible version for our version of the thin-clients. So yeah its super old and I'm not able to update any of this. There is no security.enterprise_roots.enabled option available. What would be the best way to solve this issue for ~400 clients.
