Since May 2019 update WHY is Firefox 67 so messed up? Constantly changing proxy setting and not able to set it and have it remain set for no proxy. Frequently runs new tab non stop across top of page and unable to stop it from running , I have to log out completely to get the running tab to stop. But it only starts up again when I open Firefox again. \ Eliminated all add-ons and extensions. I had set up extensions with new directions to allow the specific extensions to be downloaded.
Constant message can't find server col122.mail.live.com, when Firefox opens and sometimes this occurs when proxy setting has changed on its own . But this "can't find server" message shows up almost every time I open Firefox and is NOT always associated with proxy changes.
This update has been a BIG HEADACHE !! AND THEN TODAY THE WHOLE THING CRASHED my computer. It took me over 5 hours to get my computer up and running again. However, I am Still getting the message "can't find server col122.mail.live.com" and proxy changes randomly.

Hi, I am currently Thailand. When I do a Google search, results show date in Thai years. According to google support, in order to get results in regular date format, I have to set my location to anywhere but my current one, then save settings by pressing save button at the bottom of the page. There is no save button at bottom of page. Is this because I'm using Firefox? Can you suggest another way to not get google search results in thai years? Or save changes to settings? Thanks

I was pleased when a recent release of Firefox promised to block autoplay by default, but it turns out that it merely blocks the sound of videos. When I go to the websites of, say, the NY TImes or Washington Post, annoying videos are running, using up bandwidth. I can't find any setting within Firefox -- or any add-on -- that succeeds in turning these off. A silent video is better than a noisy one, but why can't we block ALL autoplay?

Firefox is periodically giving me a notification that there is an update available. It does this multiple times a day, generally appearing to happen if Firefox has been "not in active use" ie minimized for some period of time. I've already clicked "not now", so I shouldn't be seeing it anymore.
How do I disable it? I don't want to update unless I absolutely have to (ie back when all the addon certificates expired) due to Mozilla's penchant for making unwanted changes to the UI. I just want the notification to go away and not appear again.
As it is, this is basically a form of very annoying spam coming from the browser itself.

I am using ver 67.0.4 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Professional. I have been able to open new search results in separate tabs. I do not want them opening in the same tab. It used to be that I could toggle browser.search.openintab to True and it would work. No luck now. It keeps opening in the same tab. :-( Open links in tabs instead of new windows is checked.
It seems with every new version something annoying happens and I am caught wasting time to fix this. How can I fix this? TIA.

Some websites will autocomplete with the input of one or two characters. However, some websites that I visit often will not autocomplete in the search bar despite my having those options optimized in the Settings.
I have tried multiple things:
I have Verified Integrity of the Places Database and get a good response that is:
> Task: checkIntegrity + The places.sqlite database is sane + The favicons.sqlite database is sane
So the database is working. I have also booted in Safe Mode with add-ons disabled and get the same issue.
I have also deleted the places.sqlite and places.sqlite-wal files from the Profiles folder, re-visited the websites, and this has still not solved the issue. At this point I've exhausted the fixes suggested in other threads in the community forum. Feedback appreciated.

It's unbelievable that a program like this have NEVER had a smooth update EVER. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS problems. Only tried to update now because I verified that my addons, that I will NOT go without, actually haven't been disabled in this time.
Today's problem.
Tried to allow it to update to the latest version and it downloaded and restarted the browser. It restarted the exact same version of the browser I'm trying to update. Tried restarting, updating again and again, says "restart to update" but NEVER updates the browser.
Tried downloading the installer to update myself. Installer says it's up to date. Tried starting firefox from all my shortcuts, from the start menu, and directly from the programs folder and ALL start the non-updated browser.
So, if I have an up to date version of firefox on my computer where is the new super secret location it's installed to these days?????? It's not in the program files. If the browser updates then why is there still on old version running on my computer??????

They were all present a day or two ago and I noticed something was wrong when firefox stopped autofilling the login data. is there a way to check what's going on and what caused this? and also how to I get them back?

Every single time I open Firefox, I'm presented with this annoying reminder that tells me to update Firefox. Problem is, I manually installed Firefox into an Ubuntu folder, and it doesn't get auto-updated. I'm perfectly capable of downloading the latest version and replacing the old version WHEN I CHOOSE TO. I don't need Firefox reminding me about it every single goddamn time I open the browser. A reminder every month or every 40 days would have still been tolerable. But everytime I open the browser??!!! Who takes these kind of decisions? Please don't make a user interface so annoying!!!
